About Slava Steinberg
I am an American expat, who fell in love with this region and moved from Los Angeles about four years ago. The beauty and richness of Perigord still astonishes me. I would gladly share my knowledge of the region with you.
Slava Steinberg purchased this Apartment in 2016
Why Slava Steinberg chose Périgueux
Place is full of light, it's fully equipped for luxurious stay.

Best location ever
Perfect location in center of town with balcony. Host was wonderful and accommodated us even though we were very late arriving. Apartment was spacious for two and would accommodate 4 easily ( though there were only 3 wine glasses and not very good corkscrew and then we broke another wine glass. ( Slava said never mind, that’s good luck !). for Americans not used to European style appliances it was a little hard to figure out the washing machine and towel warmer, so make sure and ask. Skava’s assistant came back a second time to help with internet (it can be spotty). Wonderful ceiling and great creaky door. Slava checked several times to make sure all was OK. People in Perigueaux were very helpful. Be careful where you park on market days.
A perfect location
Slava was a delightful host with many tips, and ideas for our stay in Perigueux. The apartment is spacious and just steps from a supermarket as well as several boulangeries.
The kitchen is well stocked, for anyone planning to prepare meals. The old town has many fine restaurants, a lively Saturday market and enough attractions to keep one occupied for several days. The only caveat is the apartment is on the first floor (2nd floor in America) and there is a tricky and sort of rickety climb up to the apartment. Overall though we highly recommend the apartment
Very convenient location in the historic center in a historic building
Our host Slava was super accommodating. The flat is very comfortable in a great location close to groceries, restaurants and all that Perigueux has to offer. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a historic building and has been renovated to a modern standard with all the conveniences. Highly recommended!
Simply the best location
This apartment on the first floor of a beautiful building is situated in the heart of "old" Perigueux. Our hostess Slavia was so welcoming and even provided some essentials such as bread and milk and butter. The apartment is spacious very comfortable and very clean. We appreciated the proximity to good cafes and supermarket but the weekly markets were a bonus. This is a wonderful short or long term proposition as Perigueux and surrounding areas have so much to offer.
Loved it! Merci beaucoup Slavia.
Et meget charmerende sted.
Virkelig dejligt. Beliggenheden fantastisk. Charmerende by og hjælpsom udlejer
Spacious apartment in Central Perigreux
Apartment was spacious and clean with everything you need.
Well appointed and a nice touch of pastries, jam, milk etc left by the host.
Nice to be able to open the huge doors onto the wrap around balcony.
Good communication from Slava before and during the stay
Only downside is street noise from vehicles but this is to be expected in a central location.
You are an ideal guest, Dave.
Come back any time!
You will be in the Renaissance part of town, a short 5-min walk from the cathedral St. Front (designed by the same architect as the famous Basilique de Sacré Cœur in Paris). You are within 50 m to Monoprix, numerous bakeries, épiceries, shops and restaurants. Wednesday and Saturday, there is a large farmer’s market a 2-min walk from home. You can stock up on all sorts of regional goodies and go exploring the nearby gems.
From Perigueux, you can drive to all the regional must-see spots -- Brantôme (known as the Venice of Dordogne), Sarlat (16th century walled town known for its duck delicacies), St. Émilion, Pomerol (world’s most famous wine country) and of course Bordeaux — within an hour! This is your perfect home for your holiday am southwestern France. Enjoy!
