I've worked long and hard for you to enjoy the parks in this brand new 6 bedroom cabin. I grew up in this area and know its a great place to live and vacatiov. My first job, at 12 years old, was showing guests at an RV park to their nightly spots. Now, not much has changed. I manage a guest ranch at the Grand Canyon. I love to come and stay in this great cabin with my wife and 5 wonderful kids.
Lisa purchased this lodge in 2015
Location Location Location! There are so many State and National Parks within one hour it's amazing. You couldn't see everything if you stayed a full month.
Imagine sitting under the covered porch looking up at the mountain located on the property , while someone is grilling a wonderful dinner on the full outdoor kitchen, just thinking to your self (Now This Is A Vacation). Where should we go Bryce Canyon, Hiking the Narrows in Zion, Looking over the Rim of the Grand Canyon or Going to all the local State Parks. When you realize : I can do it all !!!!
The location was wonderful so that we could explore so much of the area between Bryce and Zion and around the area. The house was very clean, and well stocked with essential items in the kitchen and bath areas. I would recommend that some paring knifes be placed in the kitchen as the knives there didn't quite do the job. Would have liked the call backs when we called the owner with questions to be more responsive. Had to return calls a few times before a response was given. We found the accommodations quiet even though the retreat is close to the highway. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. 3 bedrooms, 3 baths. Well worth the $. Would definitely recommend to others. Loved the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Get to Bryce and Zion early in the morning as there are many people. The parks are so spectacular. We thought we would miss the crowds by going late September. Not So. The Pipe Spring National Park into Arizona is well worth the drive. Forget the Moqui Cave. Don't miss Cedar Breaks. Could have spent more time that our 6 days.
This house didn't look like much from the outside, but it was very comfortable. Best for 6 people if all want beds and to sit at dinner table together, but we were still comfortable with 8: 2 on couches for sleeping and meals when all eating at same time. We successfully cooked meals there - plenty of pans and even a crock pot. Well stocked with paper goods, towels, soap, etc. All conveniences working except dishwasher.
House was conveniently located right between Zion and Bryce, but not a lot to do in the immediate area. Local grocery store (Terry's Food and Drug, 4 miles south) had everything we were looking for, even items like couscous.
For the price, this was a good value for our two families. Thank you!
This rental is half of a duplex that has been remodeled. It was exceptionally clean and had no odor issues. For the price, it was a great rental and we enjoyed the location. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and such -- better than most!!!! The home does sit very close to the main road, so there is some traffic noise at times. This seemed worse in the loft. There was very little traffic later in the evening. We had a great trip to Utah. Besides Zion and Bryce, we really enjoyed hiking in Red Canyon (on the way to Bryce and much more peaceful). We also really enjoyed hiking in a slot canyon that was past Bryce. If you are an animal lover, you should go to Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary in Kanab. Free tour and very enjoyable. If coming from Las Vegas, I suggest doing your grocery shopping while still in metropolitan areas. Owners were responsive and polite.
Our famiily consisting of four adults, a 2-year-old, and a 7-month-old spent four nights at Rustic Retreats in Cabin #3, and we loved it! Not only were the accommodations as advertised, but better. The unit was spacious and fully stocked with linens, paper products, cleaning products & detergents, as well as condiments for seasoning food. The location was ideal, as the cabins are located between Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. We enjoyed the outdoor grill, and the peaceful quiet in the evenings. If we vacation in the area again, we will definitely stay at Rustic Retreats.
A few words of caution - we arrived at night, and had a difficult time finding the drive leading to the cabins. Though it's true there is a bear holding a fish at the end of the drive, the area is very dark in the evening, and the bear is not easy to see. It would be great if the owner would install a light or reflectors near the bear to help guide the customer to the cabins.
Also, when we opened the lock box, there was no key inside. Fortunately, we found the back door open and the key on the kitchen table. It would probably be a good idea to touch base with the owner on the day of arrival to make sure everything is in place. We failed to do that.
One other note - the floor is concrete. It's very hard and very cold. It's also slippery when little feet are moving quickly. An area rug to cover the floor in the family room would be a nice touch, but there was not one in place at the time of our visit. You may want to take a quilt or something soft to spread on the floor if you have small children.
My family and I stayed here over spring break. The house was very comfortable. We were able to hike several different places Zion, Bryce, Buckskin Gulch, and we went to Page, Az. The home has everything you may need, such as, a washer and dryer and a fairly well stocked kitchen. They do have a crockpot, which was very nice for dinners on those long hiking days and the outdoor grill was great!
We stayed one week in this nice cabin. we like the quietness of the setting. For us, it is much better than the crowded Springdale. It is about 45 min to the heart of Zion and about one hour to the Bryce. We visited both parks as well as the Coral Pink Sand Dune (thanks to the recommendation of the cabin owners). We really enjoy the cabin which is pretty new and equipped with EVERYTHING. Three bedrooms with three full bath! We had six adults staying in the place and feel very comfortable. Because of the location, we were able to explore more on the east side of the Zion such as Clear Creek which is as pretty as "the Narrow" without getting wet. You can even get to the Observation point from upper canyon, or hike the Checkerboard mesa. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes outdoor activities and quiet settings. Thanks, Lisa and Ben.
Located among the most popular National Parks in the World and Awesome Utah and Arizona State parks. This is the perfect place to stay and relax and enjoy Gods Country! Your 25 min from Zion and 35 min from Bryce and Under 2 hours to the Grand Canyon!
You also have Coral Pink Sand Dunes state park and Cedar Breaks, and many many more. The Property is also right across the highway from the famous Virgin River.
