Wandering William is an ancient farmstead comprising a magnificent timber-framed barn dating back to the 17th Century which provides fabulous self-catering accommodation for up to 16 people, and an adjoining stone barn (Owl Barn) which provides an additional twin bedroom, shower room and small kitchen, plus a versatile workshop space for indoor activities.
Tastefully and imaginatively converted in 2003, Wandering William is equipped to a very high standard and offers spacious and comfortable 4 Star accommodation. The property features five oak staircases, two lounges with wood-burning stoves, a large kitchen/dining room, six bedrooms, an additional gallery bedroom and a large courtyard garden.
The Owl Barn, rented separately, is an old stone barn, which has been sensitively restored to create a warm, light and airy space for group activities.
Set amidst pretty countryside, yet within a mile of the historic town of Ludlow, this property provides an ideal venue for extended families or groups of friends to get together for a holiday or celebration.
In addition to the accommodation, we have created two unique and beautiful spaces at Wandering William - the Owl Barn and the Yurt. Both are versatile spaces which can be used for any number of activities including yoga, pilates, tai-chi, art, singing, music and dance, as well as being suitable for lectures, seminars, discussion groups and performances. These spaces may be rented along with the accommodation, making this a fantastic place for a group of people to get together to work on a project, develop new skills or pursue artistic, creative and holistic interests in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere away from the stresses of day to day living.
