Located walking distance from downtown and UM, this Victorian cottage is close to all that is happening in Missoula. Just around the corner is the 'hip strip' with coffee, restaurants, brewery, bakeries, ice cream and fun shops. Relax on the front porch and enjoy the picket-fenced yard circled by abundant flowerbeds. Step inside to see original wood floors, doors and trim. Loving care has restored and updated this wonderful house. The bedroom on the main floor has a double bed while upstairs is the bathroom and two dormer bedrooms with single beds. The well-appointed petite kitchen will handle your cooking needs, only lacking the convenience of a dishwasher. The house is most suited for a couple or family. The fragile nature of the home does not allow smoking and only pre-approved dogs.

About Bobbi Chenoweth
Originally from back east, Colorado was our home until our children grew up and moved away. Having retired from teaching and land management we moved to Missoula in 2008 to be closer to our daughter and her family.
Bobbi Chenoweth purchased this House in 2008
Why Bobbi Chenoweth chose Riverfront
We were very happy to find a place right in the heart of old Missoula. Our property has 2 homes, one we used for visiting friends and relatives, which gave us the idea of inviting more folks to enjoy all that we find intriguing about Missoula.
What makes this House unique
Missoula is a wonderful and unique small town with so much activity. Walking from the house is easy and the town is bike-friendly. Don't miss the rest of Montana.

We loved our stay in this charming down town home.
Would definitely recommend this rental home. We enjoyed our stay very much. We were in Missoula for our daughter’s graduation from UM. Great communication from Bobbi coordinating our stay. Very accommodating as we had quite a late arrival time from out of state. The house was charming and had everything we needed to cook a meal and entertain a couple guests for dinner. Fairly steep stairs lead up to the only bathroom, not a problem at all just be aware if your mobility is limited. House and yard is great for well behaved dogs. Gardens were in bloom and the whole yard is contained in a white picket fence. Sitting on the front porch in the morning sun was peaceful and quiet. Very nice central location within Missoula. We would love to stay again. Thank you to Bobbi and her husband for providing such a wonderful experience.
Bobbi's place is awesome
Really nice, Victorian house in a great area surrounded by other beautiful old homes. Lots of places within a block or two including grocery store, coffee houses, Tap room, restaurants and more. Easy walk to downtown Missoula that maybe took 10 minutes. Accommodations were great. Bobbi's communication was fantastic.
Spring visit in Missoula
Highly recommend this house to rent. the house has everything you will need for a
perfect stay. The bed was fabulous. The location was excellent, we could walk to grocery shop,
restaurants and brewery's. We could walk to the river and use the path to run, bike and walk.
The owners were very accommodating and thoughtful. The neighbors were very welcoming.
Great house in a great location
My wife and I were in Missoula for a few days and we lucked out finding this wonderful house. First, Bobbi was great to work with before we arrived and checked on us after we were is Missoula. She was very nice. Second, the house is great. It is an older house that has a nice porch and yard. It has a nice sized family room and dining room. There is a nice entry/foyer area that is also good size. There is a great kitchen with everything you could need for a stay! Additionally, the location of the house is perfect. We stayed here during a conference at the university and it’s a less than five minute drive. You are also two blocks to the river walk and two blocks to Higgins (which you can take to cross over the river and you are in downtown Missoula in a ten minute walk). We really liked this house a lot and we will definitely stay here again during our next trip to Missoula!
An outstanding rental
This is the second year that I have rented the 5th Street Cottage. I will continue to do so, as I have a daughter in Missoula. The location is ideal, the house is the perfect size, and the only thing that would make it more than 100% would be a bathroom on the ground level. That is certainly not a deal breaker, however. The Chenoweths are the ideal "landlords". They care deeply for the property, and it shows in every respect. They are also lovely to have discussions with about various topics such as plantings, flowers, and travel in France. I highly recommend this property. Carolyn Miller, Austin, TX
A very comfortable house in a great location!
We booked Bobbi's house for our family members who were visiting us in late June. This was the 2nd time we worked with Bobbi and both times were wonderful experiences - Bobbi was very responsive to our emails and she kept the house very clean! The house is within walking distance to downtown Missoula and some great local businesses, which include an ice cream shop, a grocery store, a micro brewery and a bakery which are all beloved Missoulian institutions.
The only thing to take note of for people who are coming in the height of summer, and who absolutely need ACs - the house doesn't have ACs but our family members were comfortable both times, as they followed Bobbi's suggestion of closing the drapes during the hottest times of the day, and opening all the windows and doors when it cooled down later in the day.
All in all, a wonderful vacation rental!
