Beautifully designed flat renovated by a leading architect. 140 square meters (1507 ft2), 3 balconies. Next to Puerta del Sol, and very close to Santa Ana Square. Walking distance to Madrid's main architectural attractions: Plaza Mayor, Sol, Royal Palace or the Chueca district, as well as the main Museums: Prado, Reina Sofia, Caixa and Thyssen.

This flat is ideal for either the business traveler or the tourist. The tube (metro) is on the doorstep: Sol, Gran Vía and Callao tube stations are within walking distance, as well as several bus stops nearby.

The flat is located on Cadiz Street, with several bars, restaurants and old tapas bars, which are a favorite with most visitors, as well as the locals. The building has lifts.

The flat is fully furnished. Two double bedrooms, with queen size beds ( and a Crib) and 2 unsuite bathrooms, 1 of which with Jacuzzi. 2 double Sofa beds in the sitting room, TV, amazing open plan kitchen, fully furnished with all mod cons: air conditioning, dishwasher and heating.

A gem, in the centre of old Madrid

This apartment is situated between Plaza Santana and P"te Del Sol, on a pedestrian street and within walking distance of most major sights.The apartment is spacious,well maintained,all as described and with comfortable beds.The apartment was spotlessly clean & the owner Jasmin most helpful,the property boasts a lift (it is on the second floor)all in all, great find.

Great location And Beautiful Apartment !

We spent 3 days in Madrid And had a great time. The apartment was in a great location full of cafes and restaurants;,yet it was very quiet. You did not hear a thing once you got in.

The location is just 2 blocks from Puerta Del Sol and veg close to plaza mayor. I highly recommend it.

Great location in center of Madrid

We stayed in this apartment for over three weeks . It is very large and ideally located. Jasmin was wonderful and extremely helpful. There are some issues if staying more than two or three nights.The apartment was redone many years ago and is very dated. Some of the furniture should be replaced as well as the beds. The leather on the sofa is falling off. The mattress is dirty. Several outlets do not work. Many only work when lights are on. There is no cable tv so there are no programs or news channels in English. Sporting events are only broadcast in replay. The smell of food and smoke permeates the apartment when windows are open from the restaurants and Turkish hookah place below.

Owner's Response: Hi Bert, thanks you for your review. We will surely make some changes if you think that our leather sofa bed is in bad condition. But we think that it is still useful, it doesn't have any holes, definitely not ripped, and it is not falling apart. The only issue with the leather sofa bed is the outer thin layer that has been damaged by cleaning using the wrong product. It may not look good visually, but it is still in perfect condition as a sofa bed. Clean mattress is very important to us, that's why we have a washable mattress protector as to not to stain the mattress directly. We will change it if we think it is not good anymore. We don't actually have cable television that's why I didn't state in the apartment overview and description, so I guess you know upon booking the apartment that we don't have cable TV, we only have wifi and a television with normal antenna. And with the smell outside if the window is open, I guess it's normal since the apartment is in the center and it is surrounded by restaurants and tapas bars.. Thanks Bert

Excellent accommodation

Modern, Well-Appointed Apartment With Central Madrid Location

We rented this apartment for several days in March and thought it was an ideal location for exploring this city. We had a group of 4 people, which was pretty much ideal, but the apartment could have easily housed a couple more if you used the fold-out couches in the living room.

The apartment itself is on a pedestrian side street maybe a minute or two's walk from the Puerto del Sol and its metro station. It is within about a 15-minute walk from many of the key attractions in Madrid, from the Prado on one end to the cathedral and Plaza de Mayor on the other. If you want to take public transportation, there is the metro station at Puerto del Sol and that is also an easy place to hail a cab. We used a cab to get to the rail station to Barcelona at the end of our trip, but basically walked everywhere else.

The apartment itself is nice. It is a good sized with two bedrooms, two full baths, and essentially a half bath that is combined with the laundry area. The bathrooms were well decorated with the "master" bath having both a bath and shower. The kitchen is also large and functional with multiple countertops, oven, dishwasher, and several small appliances. There are closets and cabinets virtually everywhere, so you won't be wanting for space. The overall style is bright and modern - which isn't ordinarily our taste but was fun to have for travel.

There are mirrors absolutely everywhere, making the apartment seem even larger. The wi-fi was fast and reliable.

Jasmin met us at the apartment and showed us around. We really didn't have any issues while we were there, so we had no reason to contact her again, although she made it clear to contact her if we needed to. She also sent us maps and restaurant recommendations ahead of time. You might want to heed the map as the street itself is too narrow for cabs and we simply gave the map to our driver at the airport. We only had to walk 100 feet or so, less than many hotel lobbies, to get to the building entrance from the drive-able street, so it was not an issue at all.

For what it's worth, almost directly across the street (Calle Cadiz), maybe 25 feet from the front door, there is a reasonable and friendly tapas restaurant called "Rosi La Loca Taberna", so if you want dinner but not to walk, it's about as easy as it gets. The restaurant is highly rated on sites like TripAdvisor and we enjoyed the meal we had there one night - not fancy, but fun and the food was good.
