About Alan Lande

I have lived full time in Whistler for over 20 years and I am a Certified Ski & Snowboard instructor as well as a Guiding Service. I take pleasure in sharing my Local Knowledge & Great Deals with you.

With my passion & long time experience (100+ days on snow per season for the past 12 years), it would be my pleasure & a ton of fun to show you ‘my mountains’ with many secret pockets & powder stashes, either on snowboard or skis.

Weather, snow, wind, light, etc. always change the ‘sweet spots’ in the mountains & without proper knowledge of these elements & the terrain, you cannot always be sure of finding the right places to match your ability.

Provided you are advanced-intermediate or above, I (or one of my colleagues) can expertly guide you to the BEST places of the day & make sure that you stay in YOUR zone – as opposed to finding yourselves in areas too easy, or too challenging.

We are all Certified Instructors, and offer ‘tips’ throughout the day, but this is free skiing/riding & NOT School!

Sorry, we don’t have lift line privileges, but with our knowledge we know how to avoid lift lines. Please try to book this early, as it’s very popular.

Stay in our 4 Star Whistler vacation rentals and discover Whistler-Blackcomb with the largest vertical rise and the most ski & snowboard terrain in ALL North America!!

Let's go play outside,

Alan

Great owner, great location, great condo

  • 5 of 5

This condo is a great place to stay as the location can't be beat. We were 6 guys staying in the place, it was a bit tight, but we made it work, no problem. We loved waking up (around noon) and walking straight onto the gondola. The owner is a great guy and kept in contact daily to ensure everything was going smoothly. The only negative was the hot tub as we were unable to gain access and it is a block away. Other than that, I would for sure stay there again.

Wonderful stay at Whistler!

  • 5 of 5

I never write reviews, but thought this one was worth the time. Our stay at Alans condo was wonderful, the place is a little dated but very clean and felt like home away from home. You have everything you would need for a great stay at Whistler, close to the slopes and right in the village. If you are there in the winter on a Sunday the view for the fire and ice show is great. This is our third visit to Whistler and by far the best stay so far. The best part is having a washer and dryer in the room! Thank you Alan for a great stay! we will be sure to book again in the future.

Great family stay at Whistler/Blackcomb

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for a great place to stay for our vacation at Whistler/Blackcomb. Just a few steps to gondolas for both mountains and right in the middle of the village. A great view of the Sunday night Fire and Ice show from the balcony. Great for kids of any age. Plenty of space for all of us and super comfortable. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

It was very nice - close to everything-Just steps away from the mountain

  • 4 of 5

The view can not be beat! The condo is very clean and comfortable. Having a balcony to sit out on and watch the skiers was great. Having a kitchen was great to have- nice to have breakfast in the morning and not having to eat out every night.

The master bedroom could use black out drapes but overall very comfortable. Could use some new frying pans for the kitchen, the ones there are getting worn, everything else you need is there - had some problems with the remote control for the tv- may need a new one. Would be nice to have another chair and small table on the balcony.

Mountains at our doorstep

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I and our two teenage sons shared the unit for 4 nights and 3 days of skiing. The unit literally overlooks the lift-line of the Whistler Village Gondola. So, the location was IDEAL.

The first week of March was a great time to ski. Conditions were excellent and the lift-lines (during the week) were short.

The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. Check-in and Check-out couldn't be simpler. The unit itself was nice and clean, perhaps a little bit dated. But if we had a chance to stay again - we'd take it!

Wonderful condo, great guy

  • 5 of 5

I know I'm just repeating what's been said in other reviews (thus, may do harm to my ability to rebook), but it's true. There isn't a better location to stay and Alan is incredibly helpful, charming and a source of great knowledge on everything from how to get there, to restaurants, ski rental, etc. You name it, he knows it (...in Whistler, I'll leave it to his wife to comment on the rest of life). We look forward to staying again...(if the rest of the world doesn't book first based on reviews!).
