About Alan Lande

I have lived full time in Whistler for over 20 years and I am a Certified Ski & Snowboard instructor as well as a Guiding Service. I take pleasure in sharing my Local Knowledge & Great Deals with you.

With my passion & long time experience (100+ days on snow per season for the past 12 years), it would be my pleasure & a ton of fun to show you ‘my mountains’ with many secret pockets & powder stashes, either on snowboard or skis.

Weather, snow, wind, light, etc. always change the ‘sweet spots’ in the mountains & without proper knowledge of these elements & the terrain, you cannot always be sure of finding the right places to match your ability.

Provided you are advanced-intermediate or above, I (or one of my colleagues) can expertly guide you to the BEST places of the day & make sure that you stay in YOUR zone – as opposed to finding yourselves in areas too easy, or too challenging.

We are all Certified Instructors, and offer ‘tips’ throughout the day, but this is free skiing/riding & NOT School!

Sorry, we don’t have lift line privileges, but with our knowledge we know how to avoid lift lines. Please try to book this early, as it’s very popular.

Great owner, great location, great condo

This condo is a great place to stay as the location can't be beat. We were 6 guys staying in the place, it was a bit tight, but we made it work, no problem. We loved waking up (around noon) and walking straight onto the gondola. The owner is a great guy and kept in contact daily to ensure everything was going smoothly. The only negative was the hot tub as we were unable to gain access and it is a block away. Other than that, I would for sure stay there again.

Amazing location

Great condo, fantastic location. We were just steps away from the slopes and all the activities the village has to offer. The condo was well appointed, offered great views, and was the perfect home base for our family.

Best trip ever

We had an amazing girls weekend with 5 of us total. Beautiful penthouse suite, and we loved the rooftop patio. Hotel staff were very helpful and so was Alan the owner. Thank you!!

Carlton #405

My family booked this condo for Ironman Whistler and it proved to be super convenient for everything. Alan was incredibly helpful in the leadup, providing detailed information to get us settled into the condo (and get my husband up from the airport in Vancouver a few days after my arrival). While I thought i was booking a condo on the 'edge' of the resort and away from things I turned out to be, thankfully, wrong! I didn't have to drive much of anywhere but utilized the premium parking spot for this unit right by the garage door. The unit is near everything, restaurants, grocery stores, lifts, and the race finish line. The condo itself is very well equipped, with A/C as well. Alan is a phone call away if you have questions or concerns. Great find!

Great Location, Great Condo

This condo is perfectly located above Longhorns pub right in the village. The condo has a great view of the base of Whistler mountain.

The interior of the condo is very nice and has a lot of bed space.

The best location in Whistler!

We have been coming to Whistler for over 20 years and this was our first time staying in Carleton Lodge.

We chose apartment #405 through Whistler's Best where we made contact with Alan. The process of booking the apartment and getting all the information we needed was excellent. Alan called us back within the hour and we are able to sort out all of our dates, transport, entry etc without any problems whatsoever.

The apartment itself is located right in the centre of the village literally a stones throw (less than 100m) from both Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas. There is a ski locker to collect you gear on the way to the lifts and the balcony overlooks Whistler mountain where you can watch the fire and ice show each Sunday night with spectacular fireworks and crazy ski tricks through a ring of fire.

The apartment itself is well equiped. Large spacious bedrooms and an internal laundry. It was nice to see that everything was in good working order. The kitchen is well stocked with all the essential equipment and has some nice touches including good quality glasses, plates etc. to make the stay comfortable.

It is not the cheapest place to stay in Whistler but the extra few dollars are certainly worth it. We have previously stayed at some of the premium hotels close to the lifts but we found that the convenience of your own apartment with full size kitchen and laundry is more suitable for a family on a ski vacation.

Overall we would definitely recommend this place to other visitors.
