The beach is within 5 mins walking distance. It is up high, near San Miguel castle up a steep hill so anyone with walking difficulties should be aware of this. There is wifi .

There is a basic larder. Wood burning stove in the winter. We provide hand, bath and beach towels for your use, hand wash and shower gel. There is a comfortable sitting/dining room with television and wifi.

Neighborhood overview
Almunecar is a wonderful place to base yourself, it offers numerous water sports, hiking, cycling, paragliding. There are many walks close by taking you to breathtaking places. With over 19 kilometres of local coastline you will be at a loss to choose which one of the 25 beaches to choose from. The old town is Medieval in origin with steep winding streets, full of shops bars and lovely places to eat which lead up to the Moorish castle. It is hard to get a drink without a free accompanying tapas. Culturally rich and historically fascinating there are many things to discover .The Costa Tropical is named after its tropical climate so the fruit and vegetables are grown extensively in the area, avocados mangoes and the famous Cherimoyas and papayas are common place. Granada offers skiing and Motril has a lovely golf course. The drive is an easy one or you can take a bus from the bus station at little expense. We have tourist information in the house so that you can plan what you might like to do when you stay. There is something for everyone in this beautiful part of Andalusia.
Getting around
Taxis are affordable and we can recommend some reliable drivers to you for your stay. There is also a bus station were you can take day trips to Granada to see the Alhambra palace. Nerja Caves. Sierra Nevada national park and many more places further afield such as Seville Ronda etc. You can also charter boats to take you around the various bays. Travelling is easy here and not expensive.
