Amazing Veiw

  • 4 of 5

Pros: Great veiw saw dolphins several times Very large clean condo Quiet building major plus Near lots of restaurants and grocery right next door Beautiful large uncrowded beach Near many activities

Cons: UNheated pool hardly anyone used it not even the kids

Windows in bedrooms faced into hallways which I didn’t really care about except they let in a lot of hallway light they need blackout blinds Front entryway to building needs an overhaul kinda smelt musty and needs new furniture Was kind of irritated that I was charged a 150 cleaning fee and then was givin instructions to take out all trash do the dishes and close the blinds or I’d be charged more I can have my entire house cleaned for much less

All in all the veiw trumped all but I would not use this spot again purely on the fact the pool is not heated and My family really enjoys swimming

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. The pool is actually heated, but it is solar heated and we have had a much cooler Spring than usual. It will definitely warm up over the next few months!

Not that great

  • 2 of 5

Unfortunately I do not have a five star review and would probably rate it 2 stars.

I will start with the night that we got there. We got to the condo around 7:00 with the hopes of getting in and then going to get something to eat. We got into the building fine but could not get into the condo. The keypad was extremely “used”, meaning that the keys would stick and made it difficult to push in the entire number without it canceling on us. We tried calling the number on the information and got an answering machine. We did not leave a message; however, we had met our neighbors coming in and the gentleman tried to help us but could not and also indicated they had a similar issue. I finally called the number again and someone answered and told me that someone was onsite and would call me. Someone did call immediately, although not onsite, and reset the code in order for us to get in. This took at least an hour or more until we finally could get in.

The condo was clean, and for the most part, did look like the pictures. However, walking into the building did not give a warm and welcoming feeling and looked more like a dingy Motel with no one at the desk (I understand it was late, but I saw someone there once in my entire visit). The hallways are drab and dark, extremely cold and not cleaned on a regular basis, or at all. The picture never explained that the bedroom windows actually look out onto a hallway. The view of the inlet was very pretty and did look like the pictures.

Most of what was indicated would be in the condo were not there. There were no extra blankets or pillows. There was no extra bag of sheets for the sofa bed. We made do but the thermostat was locked so we could not turn it above 72. The pots and pans were in horrible condition which made them very difficult to clean. Since we were not there for a long time, there was no reason to report it. All of the remotes for the TVs also had extremely sticky buttons (like the keybox to get in the condo) so turning channels was very difficult.

We had a wonderful time visiting Treasure Island / St Petersburg; however, we would certainly not return to that location, nor would we recommend it either.

The condo was great location and very clean to stay in. I would like recommend that a few mirrors maybe put on the back of the doors. But other than that the place was great. I would stay there again. Thank you.

sisters trip

  • 5 of 5

First time to Treasure Island and glad I chose The Palms. Spacious condo with extra large covered balcony overlooking the bay.

Condo was clean, furnished nicely. Loved watching the dolphins, paddle boarders and wildlife.

Pool and Hot Tub was great, clean and plenty of seating. There was a dock. Would have been nice to have a fishing pole. Watched our neighbor fish and a friendly crane type bird would patiently watch in hopes of getting a snack. The beach was right across the street. Perfect for strolling or tanning. Great rental chairs with canopies.

Grocery store right next door. Couldn't have been more convenient and restaurants in walking distance. Great fish tacos at Sloppy Joes. Can't wait to go back and take my hubby. He would love it too.

Vacations in the St. Petersburg area offer abundant outdoor recreation – on and off the water – a lively arts scene, and award-winning restaurants.

Madeira Beach, located west of St. Petersburg is home to John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, a fun attraction for all ages. John's Pass, or the Pass to locals, offers top dining and nightlife options, family-friendly attractions, shopping and water sports. While walking the 1,100-foot boardwalk, see alligators at The Alligator Attraction and dolphins playing in the Gulf's waters.
