We loved the out iof the way location and cottage setting in the bluffs. Greg and Donna greeted us with a loaf of fresh homemade bread and a bottle of wine from their vineyard. They were so friendly and helpful in helping us get settled in the gorgeous cottage. It has everything we needed, plus other special touches. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, and this is our favorite! Clean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable! We will be back!
Thanks for coming.
A little slice of heaven
This is such a cute place that pays attention to details. From the soft fluffy towels, to the comfy bed, to the little touches inspired by HGTV, this was a winner. Greg and Donna even greeted us with fresh bread and wine from their vineyard. Wish we had discovered this place before my daughter's senior year at UWL!
Third visit!! We had a wonderful time once again. We have stayed many other places, but still come back to this one year after year as our top choice. My husband and I love this area - so much to see and do! We will be back again ☺️ Thank you for keeping this place affordable, clean, and cozy and for the extras like fresh bread and wine.
You two are great return guests! We really appreciate you, and your great 3rd visit review. Thanks.

Quiet and relaxing.
It is a lovely, spic and span cottage with everything you could possibly need. Greg and Donna have thought of everything. We very much enjoy visiting this property. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Thank you Greg and Donna for being exceptional hosts.
Our return guests mean a lot to us. Thanks.

We come every year! Such a lovely, relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. Already booked for next year again, but longer!
We are so happy to have you back each year since we opened in 2016. We look forward to your June 2019 stay! Thanks.

Great get away
Greg and Donna were great hosts. Donna was waiting for us when we arrived. She invited us into their home where we were given a warm loaf of bread right out of the oven. We were greeted with a bottle of wine in the cottage. Greg and Donna stopped up a short while later to show us how everything worked. Greg even made the trek up the hill to drop off a cork screw when they realized we did not have one.
The cottage is in a great spot for trips into La Crosse for dining and sightseeing. Also close to great hiking trails.
They had the outdoor fire place all setup, all you had to do was light it. The stars were amazing and we spent hours looking at the sky.
We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
Driftless area of Wisconsin. Many scenic auto/bicycle rides through the countryside. Many Amish farms/shops in Vernon County (where cottage is located), but keep in mind they are closed on Sundays. Many fine, local wineries such as Branches near Westby, WI and Riverview Winery (just across the River near La Crescent, MN). Bicycle trails, hiking trails, quiet country walks. Also many "city sights/dining" in La Crosse (just 10 miles north).
