Sunset Chateau

  • 4 of 5

We are Florida locals who stayed at 509 Sunset Chateau for a "Staycation." Overall the stay was very good. St. Pete/Treasure/Sunset beach is amazing. To me, the best spot on the gulf coast. Sunset Beach is amazing because it is located on a little peninsula of St Pete beach that the locals do not go to. You literally walk out of the hotel and you are right on the beach. The building is dated, but the owner has done a pretty good job at updating. The kitchen is modern with one exception - no ice maker in the refrigerator which means we had to get ice for the cooler. The king bed is great but the sleeping options for other guests - rollaway bed and pull out couch - leave much to be desired. We saw DVD as part of the amenities and brought DVDs for the evenings but the player is not Blu-Ray. We also never got the Wi-Fi to work. We did everything that the instructions told us to with no luck. Good thing we had unlimited data plans on our phones. Linens and supplies are excellent. Good water pressure in the shower. Nice family atmosphere at the property. Everyone was friendly at the pool and on the beach. Decent restaurants in the area - Caddy's and Sea Dog Brewing Company. 7-Eleven right up the road (for ice). Grocery store (Publix) about 1 mile or so away. Overall very good - just a few minor inconveniences, but well worth the price.

Absolutely Perfect

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time during our stay in unit 509 at the Sunset Chateau in Treasure Island/Sunset Beach. The beach is gorgeous, the location is truly ideal, and the condo is absolutely perfect. EVERY thing you could possibly need for your stay is available. Bring your own clothes & food and it’s just like being at home. Being locals of the area, we frequent the beaches often & have stayed in countless rental properties—509 is one of the best! We will ABSOLUTELY RETURN here & hope to make many more family memories. There is ample sleeping and space for three small children & two adults. You do not need a car as there are several restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. The beach is right outside your door. It’s a safe, clean area to truly relax & enjoy our stunning FL Gulf. (Very important to us ;)... this is one of the few areas on the beach where you may consume alcoholic beverages, in plastic containers of course, and in moderation.) It IS a family-friendly beach. IF you’re looking for a fancy, over-the-top bougie, resort stay, you’d be better off somewhere else. HOWEVER, if you want a fun-filled, comfortable, stunning beach view, immaculate lodging and simply an EASY stay at the beach, THIS IS IT! BOOK NOW

Just Perfect! 509 is A Wow Unit with Amazing Views!

  • 5 of 5

The upscale details and decor in this unit is just beautiful..... total 5 stars from the minute I entered unit 509. It was clean and even smelled so good. The Bed is super comfy and kitchen so well stocked and the granite counters are pristine. It was a joy cooking in the kitchen while looking at the gulf of Mexico.... sunsets to die for! Some of the units in the building are questionable, but this one is surely worth it! The building is comfortable and very friendly with the BEST views on Treasure Island. Also, the service was excellent and communication with the company was very good.

A perfect vacation in a perfect condo!

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming to the St Pete area for years. We typically stay inland with a friend. But this time we decided to check into a condo on the beach. Kathy was immediately responsive to our inquiry. Through the whole reservation process and check in, she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to go above and beyond to make us happy. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the condo. It had been recently renovated with new travertine floors, beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen and bath, a walk-in shower instead of a tub, pretty beach themed furniture, and tons of storage. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could have needed for preparing meals in the room. There is a full size refrigerator with water in the door and an ice maker. The bedroom had several dressers and a king size bed which was what sold me (my husband is a bed hog and queen beds mean no sleep for me). There were chairs on the balcony to watch the sunset, and covered parking underneath the building. We walked to Caddys every evening to watch the sunset. We liked how the beach was directly in front of the unit and wasn't massively wide (gets hot on your feet when walking to the water) . It was a very quiet end of the beach, and the waves were calm and we waded in the water most days. The pool was a nice way to end a sunny day at the beach. Everyone was friendly and the grounds were well kept. I have already recommended this unit to a girlfriend of mine going to St Petersburg on her honeymoon. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much!

A well kept secret!

  • 4 of 5

We loved this place! Nicely furnished and supplied well with towels and kitchenware. Very clean. We did have an issue with the tub not draining well, but a phone call brought someone quickly to remedy.

Was surprised that the pool area did not have chairs and lounges. But otherwise, it was great and we would go back again! And iTrip was super to deal with in making the arrangements as well as providing timely information. I loved the electronic key pad, which keeps us from carrying keys everywhere and worrying about losing them.
