Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday cottage in West Sussex

Single storey 1 bedroom house to sleep 2-4 people with sofabed.

The VisitBritain 4 star rated house includes a lounge/dining room containing the sofabed and an extra settee, plus double doors onto the South patio; a well fitted kitchen, with a breakfast area, is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer; a kingsize double bedroom is furnished with tasteful antique pine furniture; a fresh white bathroom contains a bath with shower, a toilet, tumble dryer and airing cupboard. Excellent

The "Shed" was immaculate as was the farm it was situated on. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay as did our little dog in the secure garden. Lots to see and do in the area especially for walkers. Highly recommended.

Owner's Response: It is so rewarding that our guests recognised the enormous efforts we make to meet the needs of our guests and maintain the high standards that we keep. Thank you so much for such a brilliant review, it makes it all so worthwhile. It was refreshing to have acknowledgement of our efforts and that these weren't just assumed. I'm so glad that our guests and their dog so enjoyed their stay.

Spacious and well equipped property

  • 5 of 5

We found this to be a surprisingly spacious property for one-bedroomed accommodation. It was particularly well equipped. There was a mass of useful literature about walks and other attractions. The garden area is well fenced off for dogs.

Owner's Response: We are so pleased to have feedback from our guests, their observations help us to provide a better holiday. Our accommodation is spacious as it was big enough to house most of our farm equipment in the days before tractors became too big to fit into it! We try to make sure that our dog owners are confident with the newly fenced garden to keep their dogs safe during their stay. Recently we have had new carpets laid in the property to upgrade our living/dining room and bedroom. We apppreciate the kind comments that our guest has made. We do try to keep a good selection of brochures to guide our visitors, our local walks file is particularly popular.

Marvellous

  • 5 of 5

We were made extremely welcome by Pamela and the property was really well equipped and ideally situated. It was so nice and peaceful, nothing was too much trouble for both Pamela and Keith. We found all the information provided re walks etc very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay as did our border terrier, we hope to return very soon.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for sparing the time to write a review of our property, we are so pleased that our cottage suited you so well. We do try to provide everything that you might need and having feedback like your review, is what others most need. Our beautiful location needs to be shared, as it holds so many wonderful panoramic views if you walk our many footpaths, mentioned in our information files. For non-walkers there are so many other venues to visit in the locality, no one ever visits them all. We look forward to welcoming our guests again, together with their beautifully behaved border terrier.

A wonderful long weekend

  • 5 of 5

The Cart House was a beautiful, restful, home from home. We had a wonderful weekend exploring the area with our puppy and felt very welcomed by Pamela. The guest walking guides and maps were very helpful and we sampled many of the suggested walks and views. Thanks you very much- we will be visiting again!

Owner's Response: It is always so good to have spontaneous feedback from new guests about what they think of our farm environment, especially when we are lucky enough to live here all the time. Thank you to our guests for their generous comments, it is so satisfying to know that they were able to enjoy our beautiful valley with their lovely dog. It would take many visits to the Cart Shed to see all we have to offer in the South Downs National Park and these guests would certainly be most welcome again.

Lovely property in a great area

  • 4 of 5

Lovely property, had everything we needed. Although close to the neighbouring farmhouse, from the terrace and garden at the rear all you see is countryside and horses in the nearby field. The property had all the facilities as described and is well looked after by the owners. The property is in a lovely area with good pubs and many attractions within a short drive.

Owner's Response: We are always very pleased when our guests spare the time on their return to write a review, thank you to our guest for doing this. It is always the first-hand experience of others that future clients want to hear. Indeed our cottage has an amazing location, which gives peace and tranquility to people who come from more urban locations. It is also an area with much to offer in the way of places to visit and beautiful landscapes to walk through. Our guest files provide much information to help you choose which of these special locations to visit.

Outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

Keith and Pamela go out of their way to make this cottage an supreme venue. It is cosy and very well equiped. The views from the backyard are beautiful and the area is great for walking. Plenty of Explorer maps available if you don't have any. We stayed for 14 days and would be glad to come again. Hopefully the weather will be as good as we had this time. But theb again we always have good weather. England is great. O, and do visit the pub in Selham: the three moles. Great atmosphere and lovely people. Until next time!

Owner's Response: How very kind of these guests to spare the time to share their impressions of the Cart Shed with others. It is so good to feel that we had provided enough information about our local district, that they were able to explore it at length and in great detail. Even after a fortnight with us there were still places to be visited and explored. Thank you to these guests for their generous comments about our cottage.
