Wonderful location - plenty of room!
We had a very relaxing respite from the Florida heat. We sat outside on the deck at all times of day. Lovely to see the stream and big trees around the house. Just a short drive or walk to the resort, which we used for pickle ball and tennis. We hosted several sets of visitors. It was a great vacation!

Peaceful Mountain Getaway with amenities a stone's throw away
Great Place! Perfect location for proximity to everything outdoors! Walkable to all the Sapphire Valley amenities if you need a break from the waterfall hikes and sliding rocks. 5 minutes up the road to Cashiers. Fairfield lake is a 2-minute drive down the road (w/amenities card) where you can rent kayaks, canoes, swim, fish and relax. Property is clean and well-kept and even a little stream out back for kids to play in with a sitting area/fire-pit for adults.

Peaceful and comfy
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating a family wedding in Sapphire. It was so nice to be able to walk to the lake and the playground to meet our grandchildren staying nearby. Becky was an attentive, available host. It was a comfortable and lovely place to stay!

We are a busy family of six from Dunwoody, GA with three in college and one recent masters graduate. We have all loved coming to Sapphire Valley for years to spend time with cousins, aunts/uncles and grandparents, to play golf and to hike.

In fall 2010, we were blessed to purchase this brand new town home and we have begun to make our own traditions in the mountains. I have a personal mission to visit every waterfall and hiking trail in the area! (Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls, which are downstream on the Horsepasture River, are my favorites.) I have also become passionate about traditional Appalachian music and have begun playing the dulcimer, which I learned at a camp at nearby Western Carolina University.

We come up to our mountain retreat as often as possible, but the kids' schedules often make it difficult to come as much as we like, so we have decided to also rent our vacation home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

This property is unique in its combination of location, spaciousness and luxury accommodations. It is one of the newer properties in Sapphire Valley.

The location is fabulous. It is both secluded in the woods and also only a short, flat walk to the Sapphire Valley Resort. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants, grocery, and outdoor activities.

The three-story design is spacious. The den and dining area are great for family games, but you can also retreat to the front porch or the back porch for quiet conversation while the kids play in the third floor bonus room. The three main bedrooms on the second floor each have their own adjoining bathroom. The top floor is a large bonus/bed room with a table for Monopoly, an extra sofa, a twin bed and bunk beds.

Finally, the town home is pretty and well decorated, with granite kitchen counter tops, a beautiful stacked stone gas fireplace, large garden tub, and tiled showers. It is truly a mountain retreat.

What makes this property unique

- Great location: secluded in the woods, yet short walk to Sapphire Valley Resort activities

- Two king-bed masters

- Third-story bonus room

- Pretty and serene
