This beautiful colonial is situated on a cul de sac in quiet, desirable Waban neighborhood, just 0.5 miles from the green line on the T -- a straight shot into downtown Boston. The kitchen is newly renovated, with an open floor plan with an office, living room and dining room. Air conditioned. Sliding glass doors reveal a huge deck overlooking a large backyard, complete with out-door furniture and a grill. There are 4 bedrooms; a master with a walk-in closet, 1.5 baths, and a finished basement with a large-screen TV and complete entertainment system, air hockey and a ping pong table. There is a washer and dryer in the basement and a one-car garage. It is a short half-mile walk to Waban Village and the Waban T station, and one mile to Newton Highlands, with fun restaurants and shops. Nearby parks and nature walks, not to mention accessibility to downtown Boston, ensure that there is something to do every day of your stay!

About Alex Sewall
My husband and I are both teachers, and we spend the summer on the coast of Maine. We open our house to others in the summer
Alex Sewall purchased this House in 2012
Why Alex Sewall chose Waban
I grew up in this fabulous Waban neighborhood, and as an adult I couldn't imagine a place that I would rather raise my family.
What makes this House unique
The elegant, brand new kitchen is the ideal spot to cook, hang out and then head out to the deck for day-time lounging or an evening drink.
Super house just minutes from Boston
Lovely house in a super neighbourhood just minutes from the T and Boston.
Recommend stay for a family visit to Boston!
Thank you for the nice review, and especially for being such gracious guests!
Cute home, close to the train
Nice home in a very quiet neighborhood. Lots of space. Easy 10-15 min walk to the train into Boston. It worked as a great location for the Boston Marathon since it was outside of the crowds in Boston. We enjoyed reading all the book titles in the bedrooms. Unfortunately, the weather was not good enough to enjoy the desk. The train tracks are close by, but they did now make it hard to sleep. I would stay here again.
Nice, convenient, comfortable
We enjoyed our week at this property and would consider staying here again. The location was convenient for us as we were visiting family in Wellesley and Framingham. The large back deck was great, the living room was very comfortable, and the kitchen is modern and great for someone like myself who enjoys cooking. My only complaint would be that there is no TV in the living room - only downstairs in the basement playroom. Because the house owners have a dog and my husband is allergic to dogs, the wall to wall carpeting in the basement playroom meant we couldn't spend time there. So a TV in the living room would have been our preference. However, we were otherwise pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.
This house is in the perfect location to enjoy Boston and surrounding area. Walking distance to the convenient T (green line) and no need to worry about finding parking in Boston. A short drive from Lexington and Concord as well as Salem so you can take in all the historic sights. The neighborhood is very quiet and a great place to rest after a long day of activities. Very nice home that has a nicely stocked kitchen and very friendly owners who provided quick responses and sent required information quickly. I would recommend to friends and family.
Great stay, neighbor was wonderful host!
Nice place in Boston/Waban community
Very nice and quiet property with one of the best stocked kitchens. Our family of six would come back again. Owner was very responsive with instructions and communications.
