Situated in the heart of historic Valldemossa is our recently built 4 bedroomed 5 bathroomed villa. Accessed via a private cul-de-sac with private parking the villa offers ideal access to the shops and restaurants some 150 metres away. There is also easy access to the great outdoors for walkers and cyclists, and for young children a useful play park. The villa is fully air conditioned/ heating, plus a lovely open fire should you enjoy quiet nights in during the cooler months. On the ground floor there is an entrance hall leading to the full bathroom, and then into the lounge dining room. There are 2 sets of patio doors leading off to the terrace and pool area, letting in lots of natural light. The fully fitted kitchen also has its own patio doors to the pool area or to take breakfast on the terrace. Upstairs there are 2 twin room and 2 double bed rooms. 3 are en-suite and 2 have balconies overlooking the village. There is lots of space around the pool for sun bathing and dining alfresco
Coast / Beach / Valldemossa: The beach of Valldemossa is approx 6km away from the villa, the drive down to the beach is breathtaking. There is a restaurant by the beach known for its excellent fish dishes, great swimming and snorkeling Or you could drive a little further to the beach/cove of Deia recently voted one of the most idyllic places to live. Port of Soller is also a lovely place to visit with its large sandy beach with boat trips and pedalo rides. Soller also has the old steam train that takes you through the mountain range to Palma running daily, this is approx a 25 minute drive from the villa. The centre of Valldemossa is a 2 minute walk away where you will find everything that you need to help make your stay comfortable, there is a local supermarket, corner bakeries, pharmacy, banks, shops, bars, restaurants the Valldemossa hotel where you can visit to dine.
History of Valldemossa: In 1838 Frederic Chopin and George Sand visited the island and stayed at the Royal Monastery in Valldemossa, both left a mark on Mallorca and Valldemossa that is set in the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountain range.
The island beautiful scenery captivated both of them Chopin said, '... I shall live in a wonderful cloister in the most beautiful part of the world...', and his companion thought, 'Anything that can be dreamt by the painter or the poet has been created by nature in this place. Today the grounds of the Royal Monastery of Valldemossa are open for visits to the many different chambers it contains. In August the village holds the Chopin festival which dates back to 1930 this takes place in the Monastery's cloister. The Royal Monastery of Valldemossa has its origins in the early fourteenth-century palace constructed by King James II for its son Sancho, which was donated to the Order of San Bruno in 1399.
Walking/Cycling/Golf/Canyoning/Kayaking: Walking and cycling are very popular here in Valldemossa and also all over the island. Walking routes are available from the local information centre in Valldemossa and all walks are very well signposted.
Golf lovers - Son Termens golf course is approx a 15 minute drive away this is ranked amongst the most ecological in Europe, the village is also within half and hours drive of 5 other courses. Canyoning is also available and is a relatively new sport that involves walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling and/or swimming through a canyon. Due to the limestone rocks found in the Tramuntana mountain range, Mallorca boasts many canyons that have been carved out over millions of years by water. These narrow gorges, with beautifully sculpted walls and waterfalls provide a striking setting for this all-action activity.
