This 3 bed 3 bath condo is located in the beautiful Resort Community of Princeville. It is one of the larger units with 1800 sq. feet of living space, which includes a spacious 200 ft. screened in lanai (the only unit that is screened in) to keep those pesky mosquitos out! Perfect for a couple or a family, this upscale condo sleeps 1 to 6 persons comfortably.
This unit is completely upgraded with one Cal king bed in the upstairs bedroom loft, one King bed in the lockout, and two twins (put together as a queen upon request) in the downstairs bedroom. The lockout has it's own entrance to give you a little privacy, but not removed from the rest of the unit as it shares common walls and is not a detached unit. The living room includes a 52” flat screen TV in the main room, a 32” TV in the lockout, dvd players, stereo player for iPods and android systems, wi-fi capability, and a fully stocked kitchen. This is your vacation home away from home, furnished with everything you need….and probably more.
The Mauna Kai units feature the largest private pool for outdoor fun and a covered pavilion with multiple grills for BBQ’ing. A short 10 minute walk puts you in the Princeville Shopping Center where you can get groceries, fine dining and lots of shopping. Walk along the Princeville walking path and you can access the Makai Golf Course and St. Regis resort for dinner and a spa day. Or just walk down a hiking path to reach the secluded Anini Beach in under 10 minutes.
Kauai is our dream location and a wonderful place to call home. We love spending time there and getting away from the busy life to enjoy the peace and calmness that Kauai provides. Its nice to slow down once in a while and smell the clean ocean air.

There is no better location than the Mauna Kai units. Everything is within a 10 minute walk or drive on the north shore. You can buy groceries or end up at the secluded side of Anini Beach in 10 minutes. We love our unit since it faces the trade winds and the breeze blows through the condo all day and night long. We are also the only unit that has a screened-in lanai, so we get to keep the lanai doors open and it becomes another room. Perfect for relaxing, reading and dining without the mosquitos.
Staying in this condo made our stay on Kauai so comfortable. We are three unrelated, retired teachers so we appreciated three bedrooms with three bathrooms. The living room, dining area and kitchen provide wonderful space and the screened in porch allows one to be outside and protected. During our stay we had lots of rain and so appreciated being able to be outside on the porch! The owner, Melissa, was immediately attentive in all aspects of the rental process and when we had internet problems, she acted promptly and Dominique, the manager, followed up with solutions. It might be a good idea to install a"hot spot" to insure no loss of connectivity. Clearer directions for use of the television and more specific instructions for recycling would enhance the rental. Any information about local businesses would be great. The various tourbooks about Kauai were helpful. All in all we loved our stay and would recommend this wonderful home to others.
My wife and I rented Melissa’s condo for the month of February, 2018. It is in an excellent location on the North Shore. The pictures on the Homeaway site show the property exactly as is, and it is a beautiful setting.
The condo is well laid out, but there is no privacy between any of the rooms or from the other condos in the area. The walls are only plywood and you can clearly hear people talking quietly in the next room, as well as the attached condo.
We were also disappointed by the lack of a “well-stocked kitchen”. The dishware is well-used, there is no baking sheet, the 3 frying pans all stick, and there were not any basics such as salt and pepper or cooking oil. The dining room is very nice looking, but is not very comfortable. The stools have no back support and they are too low for the table.
Outside the condo is a beautiful setting, with many plants and flowers. The pool is clean and not very busy, so a great place to relax.
The parking lot does not have enough parking spots for all the condo visitors and the parking spots are very. Rent a small car and don’t come in late!
As stated, the location of the condo is wonderful! It’s close to anything you would want to do and it’s a great area for walking to the grocery store, restaurants, views and the beach. We would definitely rent in this area again.
We had a wonderful time here. House wasnt ready when we got there but the rental company refunded our first night and we ultimately had a pleasant stay once we were able to get in. House was clean and the location was wonderful!
Accommodations were spacious and well-maintained. It is located in a pedestrian friendly area and close to beaches.
My husband and I stayed at this property during our second trip to Kauai. We wanted to be close to Princeville/Hanalei, and planned on doing a lot of hiking, beaching, and relaxing. This property was the perfect location for us. The beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen was perfect for our needs, and because the surf was so strong we could even hear the ocean at night from the loft. We used the pool quite a bit (to our surprise - usually we aren't pool people), which was a wonderful and quiet place to spend time reading, laying in the sun, and swimming. We were supposed to have another couple with us, but ended up just staying here the two of us. It was more space than we needed, but it was still perfect for two. We will absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!
Incredible. We loved it. Would absolutely do it again...without hesitation. Beautiful house that is well kept, unique, and was just right for our group of 6.
