2 Bedroom Cottage with Sea Views and 5 Minutes walk to Town Centre
About Andy George
I live on the outskirts of London with my wife and dog and have been lucky enough to travel up and down to Poole since i was a young lad with my family, and now with my own family.
Why Andy George chose Poole
The location of this property cannot get much better if you want sea views and to have the option to just leave your car in the drive and walk around Poole and the local area. We've been slowly upgrading the property over the past few years, and its really becoming what we've envisaged now. Those regulars who come back year on year have been making very positive comments. The bathroom was refurbished in 2014, and in May 2015 all carpets replaced, bedroom, lounge and dining room furniture replaced. An internal redecoration was also undertaken. The Kitchen and dining room was all replaced in April 2016 with an external decoration undertaken also.

Lovely cottage,great location.
Lovely cottage, great location.
Perfect Pool Quay location
This beautiful cottage is set in the most perfect spot, just a few minutes walk from Poole Quay and on the other side is Baiter park which is great for walking along the path and giving the dogs a run around on the green.
Bournemouth beaches are a 15 minute drive and we struck it lucky with the weather on a mild sunny October weekend walking on the sand and watching the buzz of Bournemouth at its best.
We walked into Pool Quay every day and even my 20 month old grandson could walk all the way as it's so near and safe. We didn't get on a boat trip this time but have in the past. Definitely worth it.
I went with my two adult daughters, grandson and dog. Andy caters for everyone. Baby highchair, cot bed, baby utensils etc. Lovely views from both the front and back of the house. Great lawned garden for children and dogs. We were so lucky to find this and will be returning.
Great communication with Andy.
fun in the sun
wonderful location, perfect for restaurants shopping and boat trips. Dog walks fantastic, no need to take out the car unless you wish to so a very relaxing holiday.
the door locks need attention as we found them very difficult to operate especially the French door as the handle was broken.
but a lovely cottage we will return next year.
Thanks for the great review Jane.
Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and you can be assured that the doors are sorted as the French door was waiting on a part that was delivered and fitted on Friday!
I look forward to welcoming you back next year!
All the best
Suberb holiday house in a fantastic location
Yet another holiday in this lovely house. The owner could not be more helpful and the house is beautifully equipped with everything you need. Lovely welcoming basket immaculate house and fantastic location what more could you want thank you
Nice little house in a great location
The house was in a great location on Poole Harbour.
Easy access to local supermarkets and restaurants, 2 minute drive probably 10 minute walk. Brilliant for walking with or without dogs along the Harbour path with views of Brownsea Island and trips over there. Lots of people use the path but it was never a problem being close by.
Lovely secure garden leading from patio doors which was great for your dogs.
Had all the amenities I needed like hairdryer iron n board washing machine dishwasher.
The bed linen was clean and modern. Plenty of storage space for clothes. Nice spacious bathroom.
We missed the space of our king size bed and reclining settees but that’s just personal comforts we are used to.
Some cushions on the settee would have made it more comfortable to sit while watching TV as the arms were somewhat uncomfortable. I think a separate shower cubicle would benefit less mobile visitors. I would recommend a new washing line as there was some issue being in a sticky condition.
The owner was very informative and we had a truly lovely family holiday time in Dorset. The fireworks on Thursday night which we watched from the house and car show on Friday night was an added surprise bonus.
What a fab location, great views, comfortable house, we'd love to come back.
Andy's place is in such a great location with the most stunning views across Poole Harbour. A short walk to the quay and superb Poole restaurants. The house is directly on the promenade, so great for cycle trips. Stayed with our 2 boys who also really enjoyed their week, cycling, kayaking, crabbing etc.. not a device in sight! We would thoroughly recommend this house.
Poole is a vibrant, bustling town with stunning views from the Quayside across Poole Harbour, the worlds second largest natural harbour. You can take a stroll down the quayside where many activities can be booked to include Fishing, Diving, Sailing, Kitesurfing and Windsurfing amongst others. There are also numerous boat trips that can be taken in various directions, up to Wareham, across to Brownsea Island, or to the beautiful Sandbanks and Studland Bay beaches.
There are some fantastic walks to be had along the Dorset Jurassic Coast which is steeped in wildlife for all nature lovers. On that note the harbour is of International importance for wildlife conservation and borders 3 nature reserves, whilst also being home to the rare 'Red Squirrel'.
Poole is of great historical interest having been used by the Romans as an Invasion port to take over the South of England, and as a result there have been historical findings with the oldest being a logboat dating back to 295 BC
