I am a florentine in love with Florence! But I also love to travel and always look for places that can make me feel home away from home. So I prepared these properties asking myself what I, as a traveller, would have loved to find in a rental property and try to do my best to accomplish this goal. That's why you'll find tea and coffee available on your arrival or the home fragances to welcome you at the property.
Simona Tofani purchased this apartment in 2005
From the very first moment we, my mom and me, visited the apartment (the actual Simona unit) we realized it was special.. Even if it had to be entirely restored (believe me, it was terrible!!) we felt it was very special..
The terrace and the view on these 800 years old stone walls of San Remigio chuch, the tower of Palazzao Vecchio so beautiful at any time of the day.. the calm and tranquility while just a stone away from everything, a few steps and you get to the crowded and lively Via de neri.. The apartment really needed to be updated but the display was gorgeous.. All moved, perfectly designed to have a sleeping area and a daily area, the ancient ceiling in the sitting room.. A house of carachter..We fell in love at a the very first sight!!!
The same happend when we were able to purchase the property beside (the actual Francesca unit) which has its own carachter too.. Again we entirely restored it but what a result!
Every thing was fine...a very hearty stay in Florence and so near to all the city sights. We can recomend. Carola & Eric

This is a great apartment in Noe Valley (Castro and 24th Street)- beautifully furnished with great artwork. My wife and I and 2 kids spent 3 nights here because we thought (and were right) that it would be more relaxing than a hotel room. The small garden was the perfect place for sharing a bottle of wine.
The only small downside is that the front bedroom gets the noise of the street with some traffic from around 7am - however not a problem if you want to get up and enjoy SF. I always managed to park my car within 1 or 2 blocks. Buses and trams are available to take you into town about 2 blocks away. The agent whom I dealt with when arranging the lease was very co-operative and willing to be helpful.
Now for the best bit. This apartment is on 24th street near Castro and is in a really cool neighbourhood for bars, retaurants (American, Italian, Spanish, Asian, South-American and more - no fast food outlets in sight), boutique-type stores, coffee-shops (Starbucks and fantastic local ones), a wonderful cheese store, great wine stores. It feels like a proper neighbourhood, and is clean and friendly. We started and finished our days on 24th street with a trip into the heart of SF during the day.
As an Englishman living in Houston, it was great!
What can we say? We loved staying at Stella's in the heart of Florence. This was our first trip to Italy and we fell in love with everything about this country and city. Romantic, historic, and beautiful. Florence is amazing. The apartment is close to some of the city's best and most sought after places to eat, visit, and shop. It was in a very quiet part of the city and we slept like babies at night. Decorated classy with a boutique fell, it's even better in person and had plenty of space for us and would have been big enough for 2 others as well. We have never visited a city that we enjoyed so much as we did Florence. Walking the streets at day or night felt safe and dreamy. WHEN, not if, but WHEN we return, we will stay with Stella again.
Simona's 2 bedroom apartment is ideally situated, very close to the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio. The apartment was, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Simona was an accommodating host. Her modern apartment is equipped with both a dishwasher and a washing machine. We were there during the winter and the heating system worked well. There is a delightful terrasse that can accommodate 4 squeezing around the table. The WIFI worked consistently and exceptionally well. There is a large living room. Everything went very well for us during our 2 week stay.
This apartment was beautifully appointed, in a fantastic location close to all of Florence's main attractions, shopping and restaurants, all within walking distance. Simona was a pleasure to deal with, responded quickly on email, meet us at check-in and showed us the apartment and went through everything we needed to know to ensure our stay was comfortable. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Florence.
Good and quite location despite of being central, nice interieur and very friendly and helpful owners.
This is everything you could hope for - central, warm in winter, well equipped, spotlessly clean, quiet - yes, quiet! - and amicably run. We stayed as a family of four at the end of December and felt secure and happy to go home after a long day of traipsing in Florence and surrounds. Stay here!
The property is located in a quiet small road, Via Vinegia 2, between Piazza della Signoria and Piazza Santa Croce, in front of the medieval walls of St. Remigio church. We are in a pedestrian area in the very heart of the historical center of Florence. Every famous artistic site can be reached in a few minutes: piazza Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, Pontevecchio, Palazzo Pitti. The area around the property is full of shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, internet point and wireless cafè and any services needed (supermarket, laundry, pharmacy etc..) This area is known as ZTL (limited traffic area) and from June 2013 it will be pedestrian.
No cars are allowed to reach the property in no case (apart from taxis) so in case you plan to arrive with your car in Florence, there are special instructions. We'll be glad to provide them
