Lovely self catering first floor apartment with shared pool & jacuzzi

This fully air-conditioned, first floor apartment has been built and finished to the highest specifications. It offers private spacious accommodation for 6 people but can accommodate up to 8. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and opens onto shared balcony with second bedroom which is a twin bedroom with view of the pool. The third bedroom is a twin and has a private balcony. The living area is well equipped with luxury sofas and a solid wood dining table with 8 chairs. There is also a 32' LCD TV, DVD (large DVD library) and CD player with MP3 connection and multi room speaker system. We also have wi-fi access. The living area opens onto the balcony with view of the pool and garden and has a table and chairs and private sun loungers. The kitchen is also fully equipped with modern appliances inc. dishwasher and leads onto the rear patio with table and chairs. There is secure underground parking. The bustling centre of nearby Lagos is only 3 km drive and offers countless attractive restaurants, high quality shopping and a vibrant night life with clubs and bars to suit all tastes. Porto De Mos is ideally situated to take advantage of the western Algarve's exceptional golf courses and facilities as well as other outdoor activities including surfing and fishing with sea fishing trips leaving from Lagos marina several times a day. The beach offers first class facilities and is popular with the local and visiting Portuguese and it is home to two quality restaurants & a further Michelin guide restaurant; Porto de Mos beach is a few minutes walk of the development.

Excellent apartment

Excellent apartment and very well equipped for our large group. A bit of a walk to the large supermarket made more tiring by the hills and the heat. A car would have made things easier but maybe we would have spent more! Pool cleaned a couple of times while we were there and the gardeners came in to mow the lawns and trim the hedges too so very well kept. Excellent wifi connection which kept our teenagers happy! A little hiccup with the dvd player was sorted out immediately by Richard, great service. Had a great time and would go back tomorrow if I could!

Nice spacious apartment in a nice setting.

Overall we had a great time, my only real drawback comment would be the locations distance from Lagos. I feel it should be made clear on your website that if you are elderly or have young children, due to the heat, a car really is essential. We spent a fortune on taxis and goodness knows the number of hours we waited for one to come, or to take us back. Sometimes up to one hour, most frustrating. Also the walk to the nearest beach is about twenty minutes, not a five minute walk away.

Those are just my negative points, it was a lovely complex and we had a really good holiday.

I’m sorry you found the walk to the beach so long it takes us around 5 minutes to walk but obviously that would be increased if you’re with an elderly guest or very small children – your initial enquiry made no mention of that so I didn’t feel it necessary to raise. With regards to the taxi’s I can only imagine during this very busy season the taxi ranks may have struggled but I’ve never had either the expense or wait time raised as a problem before and we’ve never encountered that either. Nevertheless glad to hear it didn’t spoil your holiday

A great stay!

6 of us stayed here on a golf trip in June 17. Perfect for our needs, very well maintained, everything was as good as new and the place was spotlessly clean. It was exactly as advertised and the owner was very easy to deal with, you cannot ask for more than that!

Very nice apartment

We had a group of six and there was plenty of room in the apartment. It was very clean and modern. The pool was nice and clean. The beach was a short hike (bring your own beach towels and chairs) and there is a nice walking trail along the cliffs to the next city, the views are tremendous. We all took a kayak tour of the caves - outstanding. The only issue was that once we arrived, we had to immediately make a trip to the market for supplies like toilet paper, paper towels (perhaps this was an oversite). Lagos is a beautiful sight and would recommend to everyone. The owner is very responsive via emails.

Lovely apartment, lovely setting

A bright, spacious well equiped apartment. Only a few minutes walk from the beach and a couple of popular restaurants.

We had a little problem during our stay which was solved swiftly and efficiently by the management company and didn't imapct on our holiday.

There is a good Intermarché about 5 mins drive away and a well stocked Lidl just a little further towards Lagos.

There are buses and taxis but I would recommend using a hire car.

The pool area is lovely and the apartment has it's own sunbeds.

The beach is popular and can be busy but a short walk along the sand will take you to quieter areas. The walk to the beach does involve a short descent over steep rough area by the car park which might be tricky to anyone who is unstable on their feet or for those pushing a buggy or wheelchair.

Porto de Mos and Lagos are both lovely, family friendly, relaxed resorts. There are lots of restaurants and shops in Lagos. The small Zoo de Lagos is worth a visit as is Cape St Vincent.

There are lots of dolphin watching trips available at the marina, we booked with Dizzy Dolphin and had a fantastic time.

I recommend this apartment and the whole area - we'll be back

We are a family of 6 (all the children are boys). After visiting the Algarve when our youngest son was 5 we fell in love the place, the relaxed charm - particularly of Porto de Mos was very appealling as it made a perfect family holiday location. As the children have grown older it seems to have adapted to their eclectic range of interests - from surfing to rock climbing, quiet nights in the local beach bars to more lively times in Lagos' centre, from hiking to lounging round the pool or on the beach - It's a place that keeps everyone very happy. And with an average of 300 sunny days per year and a constant gentle breeze it's perfect getaway for both summer and winter.

The golden sands of Porto Mos blue flag beach is just 400m away with a choice of a couple of great restaurants and snack bar cafes. For golfers you have four outstanding golf courses with the Boavista 18 hole golf course just a few minutes drive away. A few minutes in the car and you are in the centre of the picturesque and historical town of Lagos with its cobbled sidewalks and colourful market square, offering a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping and markets. The award winning Lagos Marina also boasts more beautiful sites, restaurants, bars and shops. Dolphin watching, boat trips and day excursions can all be booked from here. For children there are a variety of water and theme parks within a 30 minute drive. Altogether an idyllic family holiday location.
