Beautiful ground floor apartment in the popular area of Porto de Mos, Lagos is ideal for the beach and golfing. It offers private accommodation for at least 6 people, this fully air-conditioned apartment comprises of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the double master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and opens out onto the patio, the second and third bedrooms are both twin rooms which open onto the rear terrace. The bathroom with shower is located in the hall. The kitchen is fully fitted to a high standard. The living area is well equipped with seating for all the family, dining table with 8 chairs and the living room with 2 sofas, there is a 32" FST Television, CD and DVD player with a large selection of DVD's and the living area opens out onto the large patio area which enjoys sun and shade throughout the day, a small private lawn area and there is a path down to the pool and heated jacuzzi area which is set in beautiful well-maintained gardens. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and opens onto shared balcony with second bedroom which is a twin bedroom with view of the pool. The third bedroom is a twin and has a private balcony. The living area is well equipped with luxury sofas and a solid wood dining table with 8 chairs. There is also a 32' LCD TV, DVD (large DVD library) and CD player with MP3 connection and multi room speaker system. We also have wi-fi access. The living area opens onto the balcony with view of the pool and garden and has a table and chairs and private sun loungers. The kitchen is also fully equipped with modern appliances inc. dishwasher and leads onto the rear patio with table and chairs. There is secure underground parking. The bustling centre of nearby Lagos is only 3 km drive and offers countless attractive restaurants, high quality shopping and a vibrant night life with clubs and bars to suit all tastes. Porto De Mos is ideally situated to take advantage of the western Algarve's exceptional golf courses and facilities as well as other outdoor activities including surfing and fishing with sea fishing trips leaving from Lagos marina several times a day. About Jane Barter

We are a family of 6 (all the children are boys). After visiting the Algarve when our youngest son was 5 we fell in love the place, the relaxed charm - particularly of Porto de Mos was very appealling as it made a perfect family holiday location. As the children have grown older it seems to have adapted to their eclectic range of interests - from surfing to rock climbing, quiet nights in the local beach bars to more lively times in Lagos' centre, from hiking to lounging round the pool or on the beach - It's a place that keeps everyone very happy. And with an average of 300 sunny days per year and a constant gentle breeze it's perfect getaway for both summer and winter.

The golden sands of Porto Mos blue flag beach is just 400m away with a choice of a couple of great restaurants and snack bar cafes. For golfers you have four outstanding golf courses with the Boavista 18 hole golf course just a few minutes drive away. A few minutes in the car and you are in the centre of the picturesque and historical town of Lagos with its cobbled sidewalks and colourful market square, offering a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping and markets. The award winning Lagos Marina also boasts more beautiful sites, restaurants, bars and shops. Dolphin watching, boat trips and day excursions can all be booked from here. For children there are a variety of water and theme parks within a 30 minute drive. Altogether an idyllic family holiday location.

Fantastic apartment and location

The apartment is a perfect size for a family with good facilities and a lovely pool.

It is within walking distance of the beach which is great with two fantastic restaurants/bars. It is a five minute drive from the supermarket and 10 minutes from the city centre making it ideally located.

We would definitely book this apartment again!

Great apartment

We have stayed in the Ocean apartments many times, and they never disappoint. Great location, close to the beach. This particular apartment is very spacious, the large outdoor patio is fantastic as it allows you to sunbath in private.

Lovely Family Home for all round year use.

The property was absolutely spotless and spacious for a family of four adults and two children. The children are aged 4 years and 10 months and we found the ground floor location and outside space great and they could play in a safe and secure area. Also the location of the pool was ideal and the surrounding area was beautifully maintained. Overall the property was impressive and we would highly recommend it. We would just like to point out that we felt that a car is necessary as it is quite a walk to the nearest supermarket and also for going to Lagos or Luz in the evenings. However, the taxi service was excellent and we almost always got the same driver who was very friendly and obliging.

Great accommodation, great location

Very clean, spacious accommodation. Good having the private garden / terrace if you did not want to lie at the pool. Peaceful location......only a 5 minute walk to Porto de Mos beach & 5 minute drive to Lagos. Car hire recommend. Went to Slide & Splash waterpark twice during our stay, my 12 & 8 year old loved it ( so did me & my husband ). I would definitely recommended this accommodation to friends & relatives.

Sunshine and Smiles All Round

Porto de Mos Apartment

We, two grandparents/two parents/two children, have just returned from a perfect holiday in Portugal, just a short drive from the lovely town of Lagos. The weather was great and we were outside from breakfast until we retired to the very comfortable beds. The grandchildren loved the pool, rule was that they could not get wet before breakfast or after dinner or they would never have been dry. The parents loved the security of the small apartment complex and the fact that they could relax without concerns over their children’s safety. The grandparents loved the apartment for its space, inside and out, and the fact that we could all be together in attractive surroundings without falling over each other. We felt that we had the best of all arrangements, the pool for children, the lovely garden and patio for parents to sunbathe, the town and shops a short distance away and the lovely beach just a 10 minute walk away.

The apartment was just as described with all the facilities and equipment we needed to be able to fully self-cater three meals a day, and serve up numerous snacks, and we were very comfortable. The booking procedure was simple and Jane kept us well informed prior to our arrival and checked that we were happy after our arrival. The local agent was very efficient in dealing with minor repairs to a window shutter and blown spot-lights immediately we reported these to him. We, Nanny and Granddad who arranged the holiday, almost got full marks from our very demanding family for this holiday in Portugal. The only criticism of the whole holiday, and unfortunately we had to agree with their opinion, was that the sea was colder than at Majorca!

Great holiday apartment!

I recently stayed here for 4 days with 4 girlfriends all aged mid-20s. This place was amazing and was JUST what we were after! The place was very tidy & included everything that we needed, from kitchenware, linen, comfy furniture, outdoor dining tables and sun loungers! We loved the whole place - very clean, spacious, with plenty of deck space and a great pool that we spent a lot of time at. There are numerous beaches locally and it's only a short distance from Lagos town - it's about a 25 min walk or 7 min taxi (which are very cheap). The owners were great & easy to contact, plus loved how easy it was when we arrived, no need to meet anyone as they just give you the combination for entry. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great beach break - thanks Jane!
