Have you ever stayed in a home with a Japanese soaking tub? Now is your chance! Stay at this oceanview Neskowin home for a unique vacation!
Overlooking the ocean march and with unparalleled views of the Pacific for miles, this home is a little slice of paradise in a small town. Visit the art gallery or pick up a few necessities at the local grocery. While this home is in a quiet, away-from-it-all location, supermarkets are still easy to access in nearby Lincoln City and Pacific City.
Meanwhile, the house is surrounded by natural beauty: unobstructed, pristine ocean views. The trail down to the beach takes you through the wetlands where trails lead you on a little adventure. There is no view of your neighbors nearby, so you'll feel like you have all the place to yourself.
A large, open space welcomes you as you enter the beach house. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the ocean - perfect for storm watching. The greatest feature of all is the retractable wall that creates an open air living space that allows you to feel the ocean breeze and listen to the sounds of the sea. On the nicest of days, head out to the deck with a telescope for whale watching!
The fully stocked kitchen and six-seat dining table will inspire memorable family meals. Head to the living room for a movie on the large flatscreen TV with DirecTV and DVD. Let the kids fall asleep on the fold out sofa (it will hold two adults), while the sound and warmth of the wood fireplace relaxes everyone. This main floor has a half bathroom on the main floor and home office in the loft, as well.
On the lower level, both bedrooms boast two full bathrooms. The bathrooms are so nice in fact that the master bathroom, with the spacious shower and separate Japanese soaking tub, was featured in Oregon's "1859" magazine! The master bedroom has a queen bed and a small wood stove to go with the ocean views for a romantic retreat. A queen bed and ocean views are also found in the second bedroom.
A small fitness room with a rowing machine in the lower level. There's also a private washer and dryer and WiFi.
This Neskowin vacation beach house can't be beat. Book your family's next getaway here!
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
What a stunning vacation home! We had the most beautiful weekend here, and I have recommended it to several people now. We had everything we needed to be warm, cozy and relaxed. We will definitely seek out this rental again and again for future trips.
I've stayed here twice with friends and I obviously like the spot because I came back. A lot of the details were there that are generally missing in rentals which makes it feel more homey. I only have four problems with the place which are really just annoyances.
1. The acoustics are really bad and if sitting at the table it is difficult to hear someone close by, not ideal for groups.
2. There is a one-car-in-driveway rule and they direct you to park in the garage but the garage is full. So you're either breaking the additional contract they send you or you're rearranging someone garage.
3. There aren't explicit directions to get to the beach and although we've found it - both times friends always got lost and turned around and couldn't find it.
4. There is an additional contract that you have to sign that includes a daily water use cap, a septic monitor and alarm you must watch and (like I mentioned before) strict parking. All of which incur heavy fines if broken.
I'd definitely say you should stay here but since this place is well taken care of I would expect additional rules and responsibilities one might not want on vacation.
I am sad that it's come to the point where I'm motivated to write a review on this place, but the management (via Vacasa) has completely failed us and I feel the need to share.
We stayed at the property to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary in April '16, ready to relax and enjoy the scenery. The style of the house looked so perfect, and we were really excited. Unfortunately upon arrival, we had quite a bit of cleaning to do to bring it up to the standards of actually staying, relaxing, and enjoying the place.
What we found was:
Dirty kitchen sinks, with food stuck
Crumbs all over the kitchen floor
Slept-in sheets (!!!) that we had to wash, and dry, and three hours later finally dress the bed
Toothpaste stains in the master bath sink (so gross)
Hair *stuck* to the top of the toilet
Feathers and random trash all over the floor throughout the house
No knob on the bathroom door - don't pull it all the way shut or you'll get locked in! (learned the hard way)
Our initial outreach to the management (CC'ing the owner) was ignored, and we had to follow up multiple times to get a response. Finally a MONTH later on May 10th, we were promised (by Vacasa) a refund of the cleaning fee x2, and we were asked for our address so they could send a check. Well here we are on September 4th and no refund has been received. Despicable, embarrassing, and if I were the owner of this place, I'd switch management companies IMMEDIATELY. It is seriously a gorgeous home and it's sad to see how poorly it is being managed. Never, never, never again.
If you don't care about cleanliness, germs, or being forced to think about someone sleeping in the bed you're about to sleep in mere hours before you arrived, then this place is for you.
The pictures pretty accurately capture the extraordinary beauty of this house. It isn't the most comfy place you'll ever stay, but it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful houses I've ever seen. The only major problem with it is that when we arrived it was quite dirty, and we had to spend well over an hour cleaning up. Luckily the place was so amazing, we didn't really care. We especially loved making a fire in the outdoor fireplace and watching the sunset. Hopefully you will be blessed with clear weather so you can enjoy the view, but the house has its own beauty so the experience is not entirely dependent upon the fog. Neskowin itself is pretty, but the highlight of your stay will definitely be this architectural gem.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house and would recommend to anyone who doesn't have small children.
