1920's Character Spanish Bungalow

Character 1920's Spanish House in Atwater Village, exudes character. It has vintage kitchen and bath and original hardwood floors. There are loads of light with the french windows are draped with light sheers. This casa is pleasantly vibrantly decorated in light neutral greens, oranges, and beiges for your relaxation. Relax on the inviting rear deck, and watch the ducks flying overhead to the La river which is a very short stroll to away, where you will see ducks, birds and other wildlife. There is a bike path along this river that goes on for miles. (link for more info) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atwater_Village. Or watch the hummingbirds or possibly see a raccoon and skunks out occasionally. The small kitchen is fully equipped as well as a equipped with laundry. There is ac and heat for your comfort as well as wifi and cable . One bedroom has a California king high end matress with vaulted ceiling, and a separate tv/DVD player for your comfort. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans as well.

.Atwater Village was named one of top 6 emerging cities in details magazine .

it is a safe, friendly and secure neighborhood with a short walk to Atwater's famous Sunday markets and famed restaurants such as the award-winning Canele, Proof Bakery, Atwater Village Farm (site of the Beastie Boys old recording studio), ATX Crossing Kitchen, Villa Corona (Anthony Bourdain's fav), Vietnoodle, Bon Vivant, Baracoa Cuban Café, Indochine, Sweets for the Soul, Village Bakery & Café, Kaldi Coffee & Tea, Tam O’Shanter, The Griffin, Hugo’s Tacos, Bigfoot Lodge,The Roost, India Sweets and Spices, EAT, Revo, Sepan Chicken. Plus local breweries in Atwater and Eagle Rock, Our home is a short drive to Burbank, ABC, NBC and Disney Studios, Silverlake, Eagle Rock, Los Feliz, Griffith Park, LA Zoo, Gene Autry Western Museum, Hollywood, Downtown, Dodgers Stadium, USC, Glendale Community College, Fashion Institute and more. You are less than a mile from Griffith Park, one of the largest parks in California, which has tennis, pools, zoo, horseback, hiking, and much more!!! Atwater Village is conveniently located near freeways and adjacent to Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Glendale and 15 minutes from Burbank, Pasadena, Hollywood, and Downtown LA. This house is only 2 minutes from the Golden State Freeway (5 freeway) yet very quiet. Why fight with the hustle and bustle of the west side, see why so many people are enjoying the more relaxed and friendlier east side, which is still minutes from all the tourist attractions.

Meeting new grandson.

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd stay in Atwater Village. We stayed in the house next door last July which is also owned by Kevin. The house was very neat and tidy. Glendale Ave is within walking distance, just a couple of minutes away where there are nice restaurants, and shops, small grocery store. On Sundays, there is a wonderful Farmers Market.Conveniently located to our new grandson's home in Eagle Rock.Kevin does a nice job with his properties.

Great for what we needed

  • 4 of 5

Our daughter had an all weekend volleyball tournament at the LA Convention center and this quaint home was just what we needed. The location is great, enjoyed walking to the local little stores. Loved Proof bakery! It was nice to have comforts of home and more room than a overpriced hotel in downtown. Great to have a kitchen to cook some of our meals in. We definitely would recommend staying here. The house itself is older but charming. Loved the massage chair after a long day. Thanks Kevin!

Great spot!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed with Kevin several times and it is always a pleasure. This house and the identical house next door are great for two couples or a family of four. Kevin is very responsive and always interested in making sure your stay is a good one. Walking up to Glendale Blvd. a short distance away gets you to Starbucks, Proof Bakery (best sandwiches ever!) 55 Degrees Wine Shop and BonVivant (delicious food and great wine list!) We will definitely stay here again!

Great home and a MUST for vacationers!

  • 5 of 5

This is the 1st time we did a vacation house rental- we have always done hotel with Hilton and Marriott---we definitely will do this again. The Spanish bungalow is Perfect and dainty-it's as if we never left home! All the comforts of home we got staying in this house---kitchen appliances, pots n pans, plates, bath shampoo/conditioner, etc. the best part of the house is the massage chair- my husband did not want to get up...he would have slept in that chair! The tv have direct tv so you have all the entertainment you have for kids. The house have wifi so my grandkids had a great time using their tablets! The front and back porch have chairs and tables for morning coffees and just enjoying your morning and evening. The beds in both rooms are clean and comfortable. Even the kitchen is equipped with some groceries and kitchen supplies like paper towels, coffee filter, sugar, dishwashing soap, coffee maker, etc. My sister from out of state who stayed at a hotel wanted to see the house and came to see it- she was so impressed with it, I gave her Kevin's listing of his properties in this website for her next stay here when she visits California. Kevin was awesome with his instruction, I did not need to contact him again since the house is equipped with everything we need from supplies to entertainment. This is definitely an experience that we will do again- no more hotel stays- a "must" for vacationers/travelers who needs the feel of never leaving their home- just in a different location and still enjoy their vacation. The price for the stay is so much better and reasonable compared to hotel price that charges all those hidden tax charges with limited comforts of home. This is a hidden jewel for us vacationers!

Great House & Location

  • 5 of 5

House was perfect for my family and Father-in-law to stay at... great place to stay! Very nice house and safe, quiet neighborhood. Kevin was very responsive and a pleasure to do business with. Will definitely be looking into staying here again for our next visit. Enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the mornings, walks along the "river" and Glendale Blvd. Great coffee just past Starbucks at Kaldi. Had a great breakfast at Home (restaurant just across the river to the south). Very quick drive to Los Feliz, the Observatory, The Americana outdoor mall and much more. Highly recommend a horse ride from Circle K Riding Stables about a 10min drive by Griffith Park. DO WATCH THE PARKING SIGNS if you have a car... only on Thurs and Friday... I didn't notice Thurs and a nice neighbor knocked and reminded me so I didn't get a ticket. Friday I overslept and got a ticket... my own fault, just be aware of the signs.

Written up in details magazine as one of top emerging cities in world, Only about a few 100 ft from LA river which is very nice in this area because it feels like a real river. Here there are many birds and duck. Family of raccoons visit occascionally, and a very large bumble bee, harmless just makes a lot of noise.LOL. I have 2 bikes where you can ride them along this river which has a bike path that goes for miles and miles.Walk to GRIFFITH PARK, which has everything like hiking, tennis, horseback, pool, tennis court, soccer, and more. Less than 1/4 mile to all of Atwaters Shops, eateries, coffee houses, even Trader Joes is less than 1/4 mile away!!
