The Suite is for two people with a glass balcony and a lovely terrace with wooden furniture. The living room is the main space and it has an additional space as a bedroom with two single beds. The dinnin-room is a place where you can enjoy your family & friends life and it's very big and confortable. The kitchen is a complete space covered with wooden furniture, high-quality cooking equipmen. The bathroom is equipped with bath and shower. Linus and towels included. Books, hair dryer,DVD, TV, Stereo, baby furniture are available. The house is located in the Historical centre just on the corner of the main street (Palacios) next to the pedestrian area. The Shore of the Seafood is two streets away to taste the typical Andalousian 'tapas' & fried fish 'pescaito frito' and the best Xerry wine from ours traditional factories

LA CASA ROSA'S QUARTER: La Casa Rosa is in the heart of El Puerto de Santa Maria. At the same corner is the Main Street called Palacios, it's the city life area and it's next to the pedestrian zone. Two streets down is the River side, which is the soul around all the city goes on, and where you could find the traditional and creative restaurants, the bars where taste traditional 'tapa and Xerrry wine' and the pubs, discos, shopping area...

2 minutes from the Pink House you can visit the old Prioral Church, the middle age castle from our king Alfonso the 10th, The Rafael Alberty Foundation, the winerie Osborne with the traditional spanier Toro

How to get a ship to Cadiz? it's very easy, the river's ship port is only 3 minutes from the house, and the way from El Puerto Santa Maria to Cadiz is one of the best ways to know how and why has been our History close to the sea all around the centuries

THE GOLDEN VELVET SAND: More than 15 Km of marvelous fine sandy beaches and beautiful promenade and river promenade walk.

Shopping areas and all the flavour of Andalusia.

Enjoy El Puerto de Santa Maria and relax on their softsand. Practice your favourite sport (paddle, tennis, golf, sailing, fishing, diving or whatever) or simply looking at the sunset or marvelous landscape that El Puerto offers to you.

GASTRONOMY: As El Puerto is located on the coast and is surrounded by vineyards and wineries, it has all the necessary elements to develop an important and well considered famous wine: Xerry...

If there is something that distinguishes El Puerto from other cities, it is its exquisite gastronomy. The variety of products of the Bay of Cadiz, fish, seafood and crustaceans and its fields of fruit, trees, vegetables and legumes and more than astonishing.

Eating sea- food in El Puerto has turned into an authentic institution, into something like an initiation ritual for visitors, in a tourist attraction; it isn't strange main mental picture in their memories or in their wishes it's that of the Ribera del Marisco with its popular seafood restaurants

They have got a large variety of sea-food for every taste: prawns, tiger-prawns, norwegian lobster, crabs claws and legs, sea-snail, shrimps, barnacle, spiny lobster and claws of the island.

Taste the whole of this variety with the Xerry wine...

About Conchi

All our life turns around History. That's why we decided to live La Casa Rosa and to share the main floor Loft with guests from all around the world.

We love nature, art and music and most of all to share good moments with all the people we have around.

We are lovers of history and our work turns around culture, that's why we live an Historical House typical from our area, Cadiz Bay .

La Casa Rosa was the Art Studio of Luis C. Zambrano Valdivia Showroom. It was a workshops place for furniture Restoration and Painting.

We decided to share La Casa Rosa as Holiday Home in 2009.

Now all of that coexist with our guests .

We programm Cultural Events from time to time, announced through social networks.

These houses were built by transatlantic traders from 17th century. They started the business overseas with America, risking fortunes, ships and lives; an uncertain era in which even 'the sea' was not the only danger, having more as pirates and corsairs lurked the coveted spoils of goods carried.

Many managed wealth and fame, leading privileged lives with good economic, social and cultural position, showing it through its magnificent houses built with the utmost refinement of the time.

La Casa Rosa celebrates its 150th birthday in April 2014, and it is an honor to join the group of people who have enjoyed over its long history. It's a dare to say we are 'owners' it is anaware of the people who was here before along the centuries ... but let's say we decided to care care of it 12 years ago of this 'Jewel Historic' and delight our lives in a home full of flavor and beauty from the past..

The house underwent a respectful restoration preserving the original elements (beams, tiled floors, marble, main doors, joinery ... were preserved the undivided space in which to enjoy the true luxury of these houses: the volume ...

Conchi purchased this apartment in 2002

Why Conchi chose Costa de la Luz - Cadiz

This is a unique space surrounded by original Art and decorated with antiqueties, vintage recycled pieces, and family heritage that live in harmony, creating a home and a welcoming atmosphere.

The location is perfect for the experience of being 'an inhabitant 'in our small town. You'll be mix in the daily life of the place, comfortably accessing to the fresh market, enjoying the day and night life of the city and you'll visit the province from this central and strategic point. Jerez, Cadiz, Rota, Sanlúcar Chiclana, Medina or Arcos are within a half hour !!!

El Puerto de Santa María is a 'headquarters' perfect to meet our province, as it is in the center of the main roads, both to go to the White Villages, south (Los Canos, Tarifa, Zahara) or Bay itself and the Doñana National Park.

What makes this apartment unique

Surround yourself with beautiful things creates a huge welfare state.

That is something we crave in our daily life, and also on vacation that must to be a unique experience. All of this give us those benefits, relaxation and energy that both need to return to our routine.

La Casa Rosa gives you those breakfasts 'al fresco' under the sun on the balcony, you'll be reading in the rockingchair any book from our library, seeing people wandering in the street. you could have relaxing moments on the suite with a lightly atmorphere or you could be listening your favorite music .... or you will have that romantic dinner in the moonlight with a good glass of wine ...

Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at Conchi's place for about a week from mid-October and would have no hesitation in booking again.

We are a family of four with two children, aged 14 and 10, and wanted to experience something of the Spanish (Andalusian) way of life combined with some good weather and - especially for the children - to have a beach close by.

For us the apartment was perfect for our needs. It is in the middle of the old town, and you can walk everywhere, which we did every day exploring the town, but always spending some time in the afternoon at the various beaches which are all close by. The weather was perfect - mid to late 20 degrees Celsius.

The Muralla Beach near Port Sherry is picturesque and there are cafes and restaurants along the promenade. Santa Catalina, a bit further up the coast, was more popular with the children because of the bigger waves. It's a long stretch of beach and in October it's wonderfully under-populated. (Chairs and beach umbrella are available in La Casa Rosa).

We had a car though, which is also advisable for the beaches (although there is one closer at hand, a 20 min walk, and there are bus services) and also for visiting the region, but is certainly not vital if you want to stay within the town. There is a good train connection - the station is also a short walking distance to La Casa Rosa. Car parking is a bit of a problem, but if you can't find a space in the road near the apartment, there is usually something free one or two blocks away, plus you can pay for a cheap parking (we never did). The town itself is a maze of narrow streets. Just approach each junction slowly, prepare to give way and try not to drive down one-way streets the wrong way - but the local drivers seem very forgiving when you do.

There's a regular boat service across the bay of Cadiz to Cadiz, which is a must-visit, and, of course, El Puerto is unmistakeably part of the sherry triangle. Bodegas are everywhere; a smell of sherry is in the air.

Life meanwhile goes on in the historic streets of the town. Outside the apartment, deliveries are made, the streets are cleaned, the shops and cafes open, the children go to the nearby school, people meet and talk, somewhere someone is listening to flamenco. You are living that, too, at La Casa Rosa.

Our wonderful holiday in La Casa Rosa

  • 5 of 5

We made a booking to stay only a week in this beautiful apartment in Puerto Santa Maria intending to then spend our second week's holiday moving around andalucia, within hours of arriving at the apartment in this lovely town we both decided to spend our full holiday there.

On arrival we were absolutely delighted by the apartment , it is spacious and elegantly proportioned with high beamed ceilings and traditional pattern tiled floors. Although the building itself is is very old it is furnished in an attractive contemporary manner and hung with wonderful artwork made by Luis. We found a well equipped kitchen - a greengrocer downstairs, and some wonderful local shops to buy fine andalucian produce. Each morning we enjoyed eating breakfast, drinking coffee and planning our day's activities on the lovely little balcony overlooking the street in the sunshine.

Conchi and her family were wonderful hosts. While the apartment gave us the feeling we were living in Puerto, not just visitors, Conchi gave us all the inside info about where to visit and when. She and her husband are both archeologists and could give us a great overview of Puerto, Cadiz and Andalucian penninsuala over the several thousand years of its existence!

Puerto is a destination for people who wish to see the fabled 'real Spain'. Keen to avoid the new build white-washed holiday villa experience and found living in Puerto we could quickly start to blend-in. In fact in our whole visit to Puerto we rarely even heard English voices - strange experience! Puerto has many lovely, authentic and very reasonably priced bars and cafe's, serving fine tapas with an emphasis on fresh fish. It also has splendid churches, the most impressive of which is 2mins walk from the apartment, a castle, and the many sherry bodegas. The bodega's are a great place to visit and even better to drink in (ask Conchi which ones!). Puerto also has several fine beaches in walking distance or just a short bus ride away.

Wanting to stretch our horizons a little we had a couple of days out in Cadiz which is bigger, older (although a little busier) than Puerto. Cadiz is a 20 minute boad ride away from Puerto, the ride across the bay in the bright sunshine is a treat in itself! Wanting to go further afield we also took the 1hr train to Seville one day, a great day out - and the train service is to be greatly envied!!

A fantastic, fun, memorable and romantic break!

Thank you so much Conchi and Luis!

Excellent experience!!

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying in this apartment, has a lot of charm and felt very comfortable! Had everything we needed during our three day stay. Conchi and Luis were great to deal with and provided us with excellent advice on touring Cadiz, as well as other locations on our trip. Easy access to Cadiz by using the ferry system, which is within walking distance from the apartment. Owners have numerous resources waiting for guests relating to local activities and places of interest. Would definitely stay there again!

central, original, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We have just had a week at Casa Rosa and the apartment was perfect for us. The location is in the old town, close to everything but the street is surprisingly quiet for where it is. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and full of original/artistic touches. It is well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Fantastic welcome from Milagri. I would recommend this place to anyone

Great!!

  • 5 of 5

The loft is awesome! My boyfriend and I spent the weekend and we had a great experience there! The location is perfect because you are in the restaurants and pubs area, surrounding by all the monuments and just five minutes by car to the beaches! The loft is really nice decorated and even you are in the city center, it is really quiet! I would highly recommend this appartment and if I ever have the opportunity, I will repeat for sure!

Eine wunderbare Zeit in der Loft, dass ich werde wieder probieren!!!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was beautiful and had lots of character you can step out of the door and walk to restaurants

, shops and bars and the ferry to Cadiz is a 5 minute walk away.

Conchi could not do enough for us, giving us information about restaurants, travel arrangements etc, we had a car I left it in car park and it did not move for 5 days. You can walk to railway station and hope on a train to Jerez and saville. My wife and myself really enjoyed our stay.
