The house is just around the corner from fabulous restaurants, shops and night life. Its close enough for children to walk to the boardwalk or beach with no roads to cross. You can park your car and never use it during your stay. Walk around town or to the beach. Relax on the screened porch.

Hi Holly and Larry!
Just wanted to thank you again for allowing us to vacation in your home. We all had a fabulous time, the BEST place we have stayed in all our years by far. The house was close enough to everything allowing us to take the stroller all over and not have to worry about parking everywhere we went.
We did the Old Time Photos which has become a tradition with our little ones and spent too much money in the arcades playing games. Having gone for many years, we also hit a few of our favorite hot spots to eat. We had both sets of grandparents with us at diffeent times, allowing me and my husband some time to go to lunch by ourselves or walk on the beach at night which was wonderful! The neighbor next door in the blue house even popped in to say "Hello", which was super nice.
Your house provided us with everything we needed plus more!! I'm sure you found it in respectful condition after our stay. We needed to "tweak" a few things so they would be out of reach of our 20 month old but we took great care of your home, I promise. What is the process in returning the deposit? I know that you will need to check the place out if you haven't already to ensure it's condition. No rush on it whatsoever, just wondering what happens next.
If I could name just one thing going forward, it would be great if one of the queen beds were on the first floor. The downstairs bedroom is a HUGE bonus in my opinion so that would be one thing I would "nitpick" about if I were asked. Our older son was thrilled about the bunk beds, even though he slept on the lower bed, he thought he was the cat's meow! He has askd that we get him bunk beds for his room at home.
I just wanted to thank you both again for the special touches from the very beginning to the end, making this easy and comfortable through the whole process. Thanks for opening your home to renters like us, it was perfect!!
My family and I rented this house for a two-week beach vacation in August 2016 and were really excited for our time in Rehoboth. I wish I could be more positive but unfortunately--the house was a disappointment.
Pros: Location (one block to the beach); size; outdoor shower.
Cons: Almost everything else.
The house was miserably hot, especially upstairs, where at times the thermostat (which was controlled remotely by the owner--we couldn't adjust it) registered 80 degrees. We have two small children and there were nights they couldn't sleep upstairs because they were so uncomfortable. We resorted to driving around in the car quite frequently so we could all cool off. The house was also not super well maintained--it was shabby. The (very small) stove was filthy (my husband took apart the burners and spent over an hour scrubbing thick, sludgy, greasy residue off the stovetop before we felt like it was safe enough to use.) The refrigerator was missing the piece of metal on the inside front of the door that keeps things secure on the shelf--there was a bungee cord in its place. (To be fair, when my husband called the owner he did send over a brand-new fridge--BUT, he never gave us a heads' up as to when it would be happening, so as we were on our way out the door one morning three random guys showed up to switch out the refrigerators--which meant we had to spend three hours of our vacation waiting at the house so we could move our food from the old unit into the new one. That was SUPER annoying.) The house had a terrible ant problem--you couldn't leave any food out anywhere for more than 30 minutes or tiny ants would descend by the hundreds. News flash: it's not hard to call an exterminator and take care of ants. The furniture throughout the house was worn, the living room only had three pieces of what was obviously an outdoor patio set, the bed pillows were disgusting.
Overall, a complete waste of (an enormous amount) of money. Friends of ours rented a house on the same street, one block further from the beach, for less than we paid and it was amazing--updated & fully stocked kitchen, great AC, comfortable furniture. We spent a LOT of time with them.
We had my 14 mo old grandson so naps were not a problem with the house so close to beach We also had our own " kids" late 20's snd 30 year olds going out. We could all walk to terrific resturants or stroll broadwalk The house was comfortable and porch was great for evening games .
Just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk, the house on Maryland Avenue was ideal for our family get away. The front porch is the perfect gathering place and proved to be the most popular spot in the house. Excellent restaurants and local markets are just a short walk (Eden, Jakes, Henlopen Oyster House). For the kids, Fun Land is a favorite attraction which was again, an easy walk. Plenty of off street parking was available and lots of space in the back yard for a barbeque. The owner is very responsive, informative and great to work with.
It was a brilliant holiday for our family! Glad we selected this property!!
we had a great vacation and the location is definitely fantastic. In walking distance to everything and therefor very suitable for families with younger kids. I gave it 4 stars mainly because of the location, enclosed porch, spacious rooms and the ease of dealing with the owner. I will say though, that the house is very tired and needs many updates, such as a new fridge, stove, door handles, plus the kitchen needs a make over. The mattresses were covered in plastic, which made quite a lot of noise every time you turned over, so they are not for light sleepers.
The house comes with a small charcoal grill and a picnic table for 6 people, which I found a bit odd for a house that can accommodate 10 people. It was not a problem though since Larry was kind enough to provide us with an extra table, two benches and an additional BBQ grill.
The above deficiencies did not in anyway ruin our vacation and Larry even kept his promised on ordering great weather : )
This home is amazing. So close to the beach with a perfect porch for taking in the fresh ocean air. Just steps from businesses and even closer to the sun soaked beach. The outdoor bathhouse provided a convenient way to wash off and the driveway fits 4+ cars which was great for preventing downtown parking costs.
Perfect house for our five very young kids. Steps from the beach and great access to everything. Our favorite house of all our Rehoboth Beach stays. Thanks so much for a great week.
