Top class accommodation

Our family (kids aged 10, 7 and 1) stayed in the Scala apartment for a week in October, and had a wonderful holiday.

The apartment was perfect for us - spacious, airy and very well equipped. It felt extremely comfortable and luxurious, and having 3 good sized rooms was great for us. It was very clean and well maintained, and the housekeeper came every second day and did an excellent job - not easy with 3 children there! The kitchen was very well equipped with Meile appliances

We've had a lot of problems with buggy access on holidays since we had the baby, but there were no issues here at all. We parked in the underground car park and got the lift straight up into the apartment, there were no steps to negotiate. It was equally easy to go out for a walk with the buggy.

The grounds were well kept, although more for show than an area for the boys to play in. It was too cold to use the outdoor pool, which was a shame - I'm sure it is a lovely place to swim during the warmer months.

The indoor pool was quite small, but we had it to ourselves most days. There was also a gym, sauna and steam room.

The location is fine -its just outside Cascais - about a 15 minute walk on the promenade on the coast road which was wonderful. The walk was slightly far for little legs at night time though so we tended to eat a late lunch and in the evenings either stayed in or went to the local restaurants.

The apartment itself had sea views in the distance, and a lovely spacious balcony that got the sun for most of the day until about 4pm. It is also overlooking a road, which I was concerned might be noisy, but we didn't notice the traffic at all.

Pedro was extremely helpful - if we needed anything he responded really promptly. My son forgot his trainers and he very kindly mailed them to us after we left.

We had a very pleasant week. We had big plans to do a lot of the tourist sites in Lisbon, but ended up spending several lovely, warm afternoons wandering around Cascais - on the beaches, and in the very impressive municipal park. Lisbon was fun, lunch at the docas feeding the fish after a day at the aquarium (definitely worth a visit - the best I've ever been to). I wouldn't recommend the zoo though- it was very run down.

We have been to Cascais & Lisbon several times, and although it could be better to be nearer to the centre, I know that because of the high quality of the accomodation, if we go back, we will stay in Scala apartments again

Wonderful

We were a party of 6 adults and had an amazing holiday here and the weather was perfect - mid 20s. The apartment is very spacious and we made good use of both the indoor and outdoor pools and the gym which were always very quiet.

All the fittings in the apartment were high end and we loved the sofas - made for an evening snooze!!

We had maid service 3 times during our weeks stay and the apartment was very clean with plenty of crockery, cutlery etc.

A 20 minute stroll brings you to many restaurants and the delightful town of Cascais. The train to Lisbon is worth doing as well as a bus trip to Sintra and the 7km cycle track to Guincho.

We had an evening flight home and Pedro kindly let us delay our checkout which was much appreciated.

Great apartment, great location!!!!!

I have recently returned from a week in Scala, and I can not recommend it highly enough. We were a party of 8 with teenagers and it was just perfect. 5 mins by taxi or a short walk to the lovely town of Caiscais with plenty of really good restaurants. The Marina is another great place for really good food, Would highly recommend Latitude 38 and Giordini's both lovely and fab setting on the Marina. The Apartment itself was the best we have ever stayed in, attention to detail was very high. Plenty of space and spotlessly clean. A cleaner came in every 2 days. The TV channels were great for the teenagers. Weather was great for this time of the year which added to the whole experience. Would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return soon. Make sure you take a train trip to Lisbon and take tram 28 and see how the locals really live. Make sure you ask the taxi price to Scala from Lisbon, should only cost approx 50 euro we were overcharged (75 euro)..

We stayed in Scala 2 for 10 days in Spetember ( 4 adults and one baby) and found it to be very comfortable and well equipped. The accomodation is very plush and has all mod cons, and is very tastefully furnished. There were a few problems with some of the lights for the first day or two which was a bit annoying but as soon as we rang the owner to let him know he sorted them out very promptly. The apartment is a good 20 minute walk into the centre of Cascias but there is a nice ocean side walk nearby and a couple of nice restaurants and supermarket etc - there isnt much around the immediate area but its very nice and very quiet and relaxing. Apartment was regularly cleaned which was a bonus. Terraces were lovely and big but could have beneftied from a parasol or sun canopy perhaps to protect from the midday sun. Overall very nice place to stay and would recommend

Feels like home

We had an enjoyable stay in Cascais. The apartment was as described. Modern, very well equipped, large and spacious and and tastefully decorated. Garden was large with plenty of sun and a large pool to swim in. Good equipped gym. Very well located, near the Lisbon and Sintra, and I, personally appreciated the proximity of the beach . Walking distance to Cascais centre is approximately 25 minutes but it is a nice walk along the coast. Can highly recommend the apartment and would happily come again. Immediate and excellent assistance with whatever problem or question arises. Thank you Antonio for all the good care.

Excellentes vacances et excellent logement

Nous voulons laisser une appréciation afin de rassurer les futurs lecteurs pour ce logement.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines hyper agréables dans ce superbe logement.

Il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour apprécier au mieux cette période de détente : le logement d'abord, très spacieux, très bien décoré, très pratique (espaces jour et nuit bien séparés), très bien équipé pour faire la cuisine (prenez vos capsules Nespresso) ou pour le linge (laver-sécher-repasser), avec une chambre parentale magnifique, une belle terrasse où nous avons pris tous nos repas.

Seul bémol, la climatisation assez bruyante et se déclenchant de façon automatique même arrêtée dans certaines chambres.

Ce luxueux condominium offre tous les services attendus : les piscines 'nickels', les transats pour la bronzette, l'ensemble couvert piscine-hammam-sauna, un magnifique jardin très bien entretenu, et aussi beaucoup de sécurité (à l'entrée, ...), et enfin un garage en sous-sol pour 2 voitures.

Il y a à 10 minutes à pied, une excellente boulangerie-pâtisserie (Sacolinha) et un petit supermarché (VIP) avec une excellente boucherie. Le reste est quand assez loin à pied et très en pente (20-30 minutes), par exemple pour le centre, la gare ferroviaire (pour aller à Lisbonne en +/- 45 minutes) ou le marché (samedi et mercredi, pour les fruits et légumes), mais nous l'avons fait régulièrement pendant une semaine sans la voiture.

Il y a quelques restaurants assez proches à la vieille demeure Casa da Guia.

Enfin, nous avons beaucoup apprécié Pedro et ses collègues, pour leur gentillesse, leur réactivité à nos demandes ou aux petits soucis rencontrés et pour leur service (pour l'impression des billets d'avion ou la réservation du taxi très tôt le matin).

The Apartment is located in a very quiet and relaxing area of Cascais, 2 minutes walking from a 10 Km Ocean Front Cycle way and with plenty of Sea Food and Portuguese Style Restaurants. Within Walking Distance there are all the services you may need for your stay (Bakery, Supermarket, Banks, Hairdresser etc.) and Cascais's Marina with its Bars,Pubs and Restaurants.
