Excellent Base for Lisbon Area

This apartment is fantastic. We are a French family of 5, used to rent places around the world at this price, and this one will stay in our memories.

The apartment is well furnished (modern), spacious (amazing living room), extremely clean (housewife comes every 2 days), well located (close to Lisbon, Sintra and sandy beaches).

My kids were impressed by the cars in the garage, Porch and Mc Larren, not a museum but working ones. My wife loved the swimming pools, inside and outside. Cooking was for me a real pleasure, with decent material, space and easy to find ingredients.

As mentioned in other reviews, Pedro is extremely helpful. We experience an internet router issue and he came at 10pm with his own one to make it work.

I definitely recommend this apartment for families.

Stunning apartment

We agree with all the other reviews of this apartment. Pedro was there promptly to meet us on arrival show us around and give us lots of tips regarding places to shop for food and dine out. He couldn't have been more helpful, and when we contacted him later re small matters eg lots of light bulbs not working he promptly appeared with replacements and changed them himself. On departure my wife left a gold earring in the bedroom and was terribly upset as they were an anniversary present from years ago- Pedro once again came up trumps and not only found it on the third search!! after the next tenants had left but posted it safely to us in the uk- bravo Pedro.

The apartment is exactly as it looks in the pictures and our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pools are delightful, gardens lovely, gym sauna etc all good. Our only small grumble about the outside is the fact that the boards around the pool get very hot and when wet are a little slippy.

Inside the apartment we agree with comments about lack of loo roll and other basic amenities eg no dishwasher tabs etc. A shelf in the shower would be good for shampoo etc.

Cascais is delightful and everyone we met was so very kind and helpful. Sintra is beautiful and well worth the trip. Lisbon also well worth a visit-easily done by train. All in all a lovely holiday would definitely return.

Luxurious apartment and grounds.

Just returned from this lovely, comfortable, luxurious apartment which is in safe, well maintained grounds with 24 hour security guard at the entry to complex. Beautiful balcony. The whole apartment was absolutely spotless. Plenty of good quality crockery, glasses, pans etc. Indoor and outdoor pools stunning. Cascais has lovely restaurants but if you wish to self-cater – there are plenty bakeries, supermarkets etc. We didn’t hire a car–we didn’t need one. There is a bus stop near the entrance to the complex with bus right to the centre of Cascais but taxis are very reasonable indeed. There are regular trains to Lisbon and local buses to Sintra etc. Two lifts to apartment, so ideal for elderly or buggies. We felt there could have been more towels supplied (and oan ven glove) and spare toilet paper would have been nice and some basic essentuals! (ie hand soap and cleaning fluids) Overall - highly recommended!

Scala Apartments -Luxury!

My family stayed here in October for a week. The apartment was extreemly well appointed - high quality furniture and appliances. It was immaculately clean when we arrived. The weather turned stormy - but it didn't seem to matter as we were so comfortable in the apartment. Michael and Pedro were very attentive and helpful. We would have no hetitation in returning !

We must recommend a local restaurant (ate there 3 times in the week!) - "Mar Do Inferno" -which is on the seafront - a 10 minute walk from the apartment.. Fabulously fresh seafood. We hired a car- so did all the touristy things like visiting Lisbon and Sintra, but Cascais is a charming town and an easy 15min stroll from the apartment.

Couldn't be any better than this!!

My family have just returned from staying at this apartment and we cannot speak highly enough of it. This really is ultimate luxury - from the extremely large and impressive apartment to the multiple outdoor/indoor swimming pools and gym.

The apartment itself is just a 15minute walk from the great town centre along a stunning promenade and just 5 minutes from a selection of great restaurants which cater for all types of food requirements.

Our daily routine consisted of going to the local bakery for some fresh bread and unbelievable cakes, then strolling down to the town centre which has real character and great beaches, coming back to relax by the pool or on balcony and then a meal in the evening at one of the great local restaurants... it's a life we could certainly get used to!

In summary, this apartment really could cater for anyone... from romantic break away or family holiday... we'll certainly be going back as soon as we can.

Scala 2

Really lovely modern, spacious apartment, 2 pools and grounds immaculately kept, and secure parking out of the heat which was very helpful.

Apartment block is in a great location - About a 20 min walk into Cascais centre but lots of lovely restaurants within a 5-10 min walk, and fantastic bakery (and small supermarket) 5 mins away to get fresh bread every morning!!

Didnt use beaches in centre of Cascais, but amazing uncrowded beaches at Guincho (10 mins north) and Adraga and Grande (20-30 mins). Worth a visit if only to see the amazing surf and body boarders! Sintra is spectacular and a definite 'must see', so car hire an advantage.

The only improvement would be mirrors in the bedrooms as the only ones are in the bathrooms and lounge, which makes it difficult to dry hair etc.!

Would definitely recommend the apartment - we loved it so much we have already booked for next year!

The Apartment is located in a very quiet and relaxing area of Cascais, 2 minutes walking from a 10 Km Ocean Front Cycle way and with plenty of Sea Food and Portuguese Style Restaurants.
