Why Countryliv-inn chose Lanesboro

Country Liv Inn is a very private country home nestled in 'God's Country' just 8 miles north of Lanesboro, MN. . This renovated farmhouse is owned and operated by four siblings who grew up at the homestead that was once known as 'Eide's Dairy', as you will notice on the nearby barn. The farm has been in the family for 5 generations and is near and dear to us. Restoring our family home and now sharing it with you is our ultimate desire.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The serenity and simplicity of this cozy home is extended as one enjoys the outdoors of this farm setting. The patio includes outdoor seating and wood or charcoal grilling. The 3-acre spacious yard has a fire pit and plenty of room for yard games and camping.

Loved the Country Living!

  • 5 of 5

Even if only for four short days, the peace and quiet of this property/farmhouse was a perfect get away. The house was very clean, cozy and warm. Owners were pleasant to work with...we will be back!

Charming home! What a beautiful and peaceful getaway for me, my husband, daughter and our dog too!

  • 4 of 5

We originally chose Country Livin' due to its proximity to streams for fishing, as well as the Driftless Region's unusual rock formations and fossils. We also needed a place that would accept our dog. We ended having an amazing stay with fun fishing spots, great rock hunting locations, shopping in Lanesboro, and a chance to see trout trying to migrate up waterfalls to spawn. It was both fun and educational for all three of us. We will be back!

Enjoyed our stay

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our stay in the country liv-inn farm house while we were visiting family in the area. We really liked the house, deck, and nice green lawn. The house had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. It is very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much

Very comfortable home.

We came down to bike in Lanesboro. This was close enough to Lanesboro to be there shortly, but far enough out in the sticks to have the "away from it all" feeling.

Great place to get away

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a mini vacation before our lives got hectic again with work and a soon to be new addition to the family in December. The place is lovely with all the comforts of home. The best part was the how quiet it was and the scenery reminded me of where I grew up in southern Wisconsin. The house is centrally located from such towns as Lanesboro, Preston, or Rushford, but also from bigger areas such as Rochester, Lacrosse, and Decorah which makes it a great starting point for your day if you wish to see such sights as that area in southern Minnesota/Northern Iowa provides. They also allow pets which was a must for us as we wanted to bring along our dog. She loved the amount of room there was to run around and was interested in the cattle...but only from a far distance!

It was much needed place for us to just get away and spend time together. We hope to someday go back and stay again.

A big Thank You to the gracious hosts!
