We have stayed in this apartment 6 holidays. I like the location as it is near the train and bus station. We get the train from Madrid and then walk from the station to the apartment. The apartment is always clean and the owners are very kind and helpful. It is a very large apartment and everything is new and modern. There is never anything broken. The apartment is in very quiet area but at the end of the small street is the main square so we only have to walk a short distance to sit out in the sun or take a coffee in the bars. At night we like to go for a walk in the city then to the local restaurants which are all very good. Some are small family restaurant and some big with seats to sit outside which we like. We have come to Cadiz in Winter, Spring and Summer and it is always beautiful and the weather good. Even in winter it is warm there.
We are Spanish so we like the beach. Sometimes we go to the local beach but we like also the beach at Cortadura and take the city train to this beach. It is only a few minutes on the train. I like shopping and history and my husband like history and culture. The owners know Cadiz like experts so always we take their advice for new things to see in the city.
The owners always come to meet us and we think they are part of our family now. I recommend you go to Cadiz and stay at this apartment. Have a happy holiday in Cadiz.
Second time we have stayed here. Love the new décor and the extras. House every bit as clean as last time, lovely crisp sheets and shiny taps. My wife likes the shiny taps! A great apartment, right in the heart of everything, and your neighbours are so nice, they always chat to us and our lack of Spanish does not seem to matter. Really enjoyed working our way along the bars and restaurants in Calle Plocia and also went to the park beside the Parador Atlantico. Had a great afternoon there in the sun, watching the world go by. Museum was excellent and we spent Sunday in the Barrio LaVenya. Great fish restaurants tucked away in the back streets. Would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone. Jim and Val
Absolutely perfect in every way! The location was central to everything yet very quiet. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable, and though there was no air conditioning, there were overhead bedroom fans and several floor fans that kept the apartment a very comfortable temperature even on the hottest days. The owner Derek met us on arrival and was very knowledgable and helpful. I ended up forgetting my iphone charger and Derek was great about shipping it back to me at no charge. I really can't speak highly enough about this apartment, it exceeded all of our expectations, as did the town of Cadiz.
This apartment, in the beautiful Old Town region of Cadiz, is perfect! It is central - near to bars, restaurants, tourist info office, bus stops and the train station - but is in a quiet street so very peaceful. It's spotlessly clean, with lots of space and great facilities - laundry stuff, dvds, wifi, books, games, etc, We'd definitely recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Cadiz.
The lovely beaches were a short bus ride or 10min walk away through the lovely narrow streets. For a real taste of Spanish family life check out the beach at Playa de la Caleta on a Sunday afternoon - packed but wonderful for atmosphere!
The owners, Derek and Lesley at Cadiz Casa, made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Before we arrived, they also answered questions we had about the area, and provided clear directions for our drive down from Malaga which was very helpful. We would recommend this wonderful company to anyone looking for a break in Spain - very reliable and stress free!
My wife and I had a wonderful week in this Cadiz property. Derek met us after our rail journey from Seville and showed us around. The apartment was clean and very secure and located in an excellent position. There is a supermarket nearby so carrying bottled water was no problem. Within walking distance there is also an indoor market selling meat, fish, fruit and vegetables. Next to this is a Carrefour supermarket. Cadiz is a beautiful city both by day and night with plenty of tapas bars. Local buses are frequent and cheap. As we were there for seven days we took the opportunity to visit Jerez twice. This is another excellent place to see and only 45 minutes by train from the Renfe station using the Cercanias C1 Line. We also used the Ferry to visit Puerto De Santa Maria. It was quicker and cheaper than train. All these services are very close to the apartment. A most enjoyable holiday. Highly recommended.
We fit 3 adults and 3 children into this apartment for 4 nights and had an excellent stay. The apartment was immaculate and the kitchen was well-stocked. Everything was in good working order as well. The location made it possible to walk everywhere in old Cadiz, including the train station. Also, it was the only place we rented in Spain that provided a high-chair for our 18-month-old. There were movies, brochures, and maps, and comfortable furniture. The only thing we missed was internet access and an elevator (due to having a stroller), but these were minor issues and we had an internet cafe just across from the building. I would highly recommend this unit. It is a great value and the owners were very professional and accomodating.
Ideally placed for sightseeing tours of Cadiz, visit the Cathedral, The Castle (Caleta) , Roman Theatre Ruins, The famous Torres de Cadiz, numerous Churches and Squares or just soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the oldest City in Europe. Enjoy the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez (30 min by car) or watch a practice day for only 3 euros. Trips to Morocco by Ferry. The famous Royal Jerez Horse Academy or Sherry bodegas (tours available) - 30 min by car or train. Visit the Flamenco clubs in Cadiz and sample the local 'fino'(sherry). Enjoy the wonderful tapas bars and fish restaurants of Cadiz and Puerto de Santa Maria. Go bird watching in The Grazelema mountains (40 min by car).Fabulous shopping 4 minutes walk from the apartment. Cadiz is reckoned by many, including the Spanish, to host the best and liveliest fiestas, notably the annual Carnival in (February) and Semana Santa (Easter week), but there are many more throughout the year. For the sporty there are endless lush green golf courses.
