About this property

Luxury villa @ Alhaurin Golf nr Mijas, pvt heated pool, wifi, aircon, fab views

Our well-equipped semi-detached villa has internet / wifi & full air-con, and large areas of sunny and shaded terracing from which you can enjoy the fabulous views in all directions, and especially across to the hills and setting sun in the West. A secure gate leads to a large private pool (8M x 4M, 1.4-1.8M depth) which is for the exclusive use of our villa from 15 April - 31 October. It has its own toilet, shower room and gas barbecue, and attractive lighting to entice you to enjoy an evening dip! The pool railings were fixed in 2020. Pool heating is INCLUDED in the rental charge except during July & August when it's not required.

Ground floor: large dining /sitting room with lovely views across to the hills, smart TV with access through IPTV to dozens of UK, Spanish & international TV & radio stations & internet, DVD player, kitchen + washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, and there is also a downstairs toilet. The water pressure problem has been fixed.

Upstairs: three twin bedrooms and family bath/shower room. Two bedrooms have stunning views, one with balcony and the other with en-suite bath/shower room. Free off-road parking and welcome pack on request. Ideal for a long or short stay at any time of the year

Local guides, maps, sightseeing etc: We provide a detailed villa guide together with local sightseeing suggestions to all guests, together with route instructions to enable you to find our villa easily from Malaga airport, and our Spanish- and English-speaking local agent will be delighted to meet you on arrival and show you round. Lots of local maps and guide books are provided.

Transport: A car is strongly recommended, but we can also recommend reliable taxi services to and from the airport and locally while you are enjoying all the facilities at Alhaurin Golf and our villa.

Golf: Casa Bruja is absolutely the perfect location for a golf-based vacation. The villa is directly opposite the 12th tee of the prestigious and challenging main 18 hole course at Alhaurin Golf which was designed by Seve Ballesteros, and there are two other courses on site. There are at least 40 other courses within a 40km radius of the villa; for further details, please see the website for Alhaurin Golf.

Please note that the villa has SIX single beds and one cot for a small baby less than 1yr old.

Relaxing stay in lovely villa - we will return
We found the villa to be very clean and well equipped. We particularly liked the pool area and were lucky to have fantastic weather so the pool got a lot of use. The agent Sergiu was very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in an apartment on the Alhaurin golf urbanisation before while on a golf holiday and like it very much - when we return we will certainly aim to stay at Casa Bruja

Very affordable with great pool
An overall great stay with a few home improvements needed here and there. Location - set within a row of houses facing the golf course. Very easy access and quiet area. From the coast inland it’s around 20 minutes on good roads winding gently up mountainside. Due to the current situation with Covid-19, we didn’t explore much but location is good for Malaga visit and we did visit Mijas Pueblo highly recommend although the roads to get there are extremely winding so just drive carefully. Casa Bruja- one thing I would say that due to quite a few stairs, I would not say this was suitable for the disabled nor toddling children, although I am sure Simon would accommodate with stair gates etc if asked. The front door is accessed via a gate at the bottom of a short flight of stairs. To the right of the front door there is a lovely seating area we enjoyed at breakfast time.Upon entry into the house you have a large living/dining area to your right and a shower wc and kitchen. Upstairs there are 3 comfortable bedrooms all with twin beds that can be separated if required. The master has a large bathroom and the other bedrooms share another. On of these bedrooms also have a balcony with views of the golf course. From the fully equipped kitchen there is a door that leads to the pool area. As you step out onto an outside dining area there is another flight of stairs that lead to the pool area. Once up there you will find a lovely pool and covered seating area. There is also a good shower wc here. NB the WiFi does not reach this area. The pool has some shallow steps and then it’s a deep 1.4m. This was no issue for us as the children are confident swimmers but the only shallow area is on the actual steps.One gas BBQ and one charcoal BBQ , we used both very well. Recommend rinsing off at the poolside shower as we found this very effective at the end of the day. Sun shines into the evening but due to the time of year, mosquitos were about sometimes making it impossible to sit outside comfortably. The pool area railings are loose and there is a water pressure issue making showers inside the house very interesting. This does not deter from the assets of Casa Bruja but if you are looking for luxury accommodation then look elsewhere and be ready to pay more. To sum up, great ,affordable ,home comforts, excellent private pool and above all great communication with both owner and agent. Will be recommending and returning. Thankyou Casa Bruja.

We are a retired couple who fell in love with Spain & Andalucia while enjoying a short break in Fuengirola. Simon is a retired IT consultant and Gisela is a retired language teacher. We bought our villa off plan in 2003 and we have hugely enjoyed it ever since.

Why they chose this property

We have enjoyed coming to this area for the last 20 years, mainly because the weather is usually wonderful, it's an excellent centre for exploring Andalucia, the local people are very friendly and there are fabulous local beaches and spectacular scenery... and it's directly on a golf course! The property has outstanding views across to the hills and towards the setting sun.

What makes this property unique

The views at the front are fabulous, and so is the private heated pool. It's the perfect place to relax, as a base for playing golf, or as a centre from which you can explore the beautiful surrounding countryside of Andalucia and its world-famous cities of Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, Ronda, and many others. There are several fabulous sandy beaches within 20-40 mins drive, particularly at La Cala & Fuengirola, Marbella & Puerto Banus.
