So much potential....so little delivery on that potential
First I will say the view looking over the intercostal is spectacular. The layout of the room itself is also great. You can have guests and both can have privacy. When we arrived at the unit we had to do some cleaning of our own. The refrigerator was dirty so we really had to clean it good. The floors were also very dirty. We tried to clean as best we could but there were still issues (my friends rented units with carpets and those were worse - stains all over - 2 separate rentals). The bed had hair all over it and the sheets were not clean. We had to do laundry on the first day we arrived to clean all the sheets. Also I had to flip the mattress because there was so much hair on it (there was no vacuum to get it off only a broom in the room). When I did, dust flew out from under the bed. Once we had the unit cleaned, it was good. However, the pool had no heater for the first 21 out of the 28 days I was there. Everyday they told me it was being fixed in a couple of days. Hey, they were right on day 22. I also lost air conditioning one day. The service guy was prompt and fixed it quickly. Finally there was a leak in the main toilet that actually leaked through the pipe in the hallway not in my room so I had to stop using the main bathroom for the last week of my trip. As per the overall building itself, the elevators were a nightmare. One day we waited 1/2 hour (we timed it) and then just took the steps (hint if you go here - hit both the up and down buttons and just get on any elevator that stops on your floor). We were on the 9th floor so the walk wasn't too bad. They only have 2 elevators for a 30+ story building - horrible design. For a building that was built in 2013 and is only 5 years old, the wear and tear makes it seem much older. The staff was very friendly. The shuttle service to the beach is nice but it's a short walk if you just want to go over the bridge. Again, the building could have been so much better. It's in a great location. The views from my room were spectacular and the balcony big and roomy but there were a lot of problems. I felt I should have received some sort of discount for all of the issues. We'll see but I'm not holding my breath. I loved the area. 1 mile from Gulfstream Park and 15 minutes from the Hard Rock Casino. A little gem next door to this place. An Italian restaurant with a Piano Player 6 nights a week. Good food, great music and friendly people.
Looks good on the outside but poor overall services
I’ve been to a lot of resort and by far it’s the worst. There’s only two elevators for a 30 floors building. We waited 15-20 minutes each time for it. Between 4 to 6 pm it was a nightmare. As for the valet parking ( there is no self park) we always called it 30 minutes in advance and we had to wait 30 minutes more in the lobby. I’ve never seen this. During the day, we parked at the Walmart on the other side of the street. So much easier and faster. But we still had to pay the 30$/night for a service the couldn’t provide adequately. They didn’t have enough chairs for all the people at the pool so they bring some more at one point. But then, there was no room to move. It was so crowded. Same thing for the chairs at the beach. If you weren’t at the beach by 10 in the morning, there were no chairs left. I won’t be back here for sure and I don’t recommend it either.
