The dining and sitting areas, for 4/6 people, have lovely views across the marina and harbour. Both double bedrooms have new en suite shower rooms. Access is by external steps to the first floor entrance, and there is a garage at street level.

Very clean and tidy house. Everything you need

Easy to find. The house was clean and tidy. Had all you needed in the kitchen. Wi-fi was good. Not noisy at night even with 2 pubs down the road. Would stay there again.

Fabulous break! Excellent value for money!!!

We stayed in this property in October and the longer we stayed the more we loved it! It's tucked away down a quiet road and has a warm abs welcoming dog friendly pub just a few doors up ( food was gorgeous )!! We visited the Barbican and the Hoe daily so the water taxi which is approx a 15 minute walk was very handy! And the dog got to travel for free which was great ! The accommodation is spotless and very cozy and each night I slept like a log! I also have a 5 door hatchback which fits snug in te garage so for the week I was there I could lock my car away and not have to worry ( there is a free car park up the road too ) we had a fab time and are planning to stay there next year! Owners were very helpful upon booking and made several suggestions for the visit which was helpful! Highly recommended !

Lovely location

The property is in good order and is well equipped. The two bedrooms each have nice ensuits. The cooking facilities are great. There is room for one car to park infront of the garage and the garage can also be used to park a car in. The view from the bedrooms and lounge are pleasant they look out over the water. There are steps you need to negotiate to get to the front door which is on the second level. The local pub is very nice although quite expensive for food and drinks. Access to property is ok and can be gained by two routes.There is a nice walk along the coast which starts very close to the property. Shops are a car ride away but not too far. In all we had a wonderful peaceful stay for the week.

Home Away from Home

We stayed in this home for the month of September. It truly was a home away from home for us. In addition to the pleasant interior, the beds are very comfortable and the internet connection is excellent. Close to pubs and coastal walks, beautiful views from the windows—we will be returning in April for two weeks.

New Year in Turnchapel

We have just got back home from our relaxing stay at Dunstone, in Turnchapel. It was a lovely break and the house was clean, warm and cosy. All facilities that you could require were in the property, it was like home from home. We enjoyed sitting chatting and watching the boats going in and out together with consuming our Christmas goodies before the next diet! The short walks nearby must have done us some good and it was warm and mild at 12 degrees although damp some times.

The villagers were very friendly and at the Clovelly Bay pub a lot saw the New Year in, the horns on the ships could be heard and it made a lovely end to the year. The village was very peaceful and quiet restored following the new year greetings. We found the Morrison's store which was very large and again had all that you would need to have a great holiday and the fillet steak and gammon from the butcher counter was excellent. I am sure that anybody wishing to stay at Dunstone would have a lovely and marvellous time, I will be going back later in the year with my family.

Turnchapel is a historic, conservation village on Clovelly Bay, Plymouth Sound, next to the Mountbatten marina and sailing activities centre. The village is adjacent to the beautiful South Hams, with superb coastal walks, beaches and countryside. Turnchapel has a Health and Fitness centre with a well-equipped gym, aerobics studio, squash courts and swimming pool. Two traditional real ale pubs serve food. Within easy walking distance, Mountbatten has two more restaurants and a pub. Staddon Heights Golf Club is a 5 minute drive. Plymouth city centre is easily accessible by car or bus. Alternatively, visitors can take a water taxi from Mountbatten and land at the historic Mayflower steps, in the centre of the mediaeval Barbican, with a wide selection of pubs and restaurants. Nearby Plymouth Hoe, and one of the finest waterfronts in the world, is a lovely stroll. The city has a full range of modern shopping outlets. Day trips recommended to Cornwall, Dartmoor and North and East Devon
