We are now back in Austria, but we want to say thanks for a wonderful holiday. Everything was perfect: the pool, the atmosphere and the colours of the sea. We enjoyed the local tavernas, eating delicious fish with rose wine. Giorgos the manager was very helpful and friendly. Many thanks.
We booked a week but wish we could have stayed for longer. The villa provided everything you needed and George the villa manager is a star he was at the end of the phone whenever you needed him. It is difficult to find words to describe such a magical place. Stunning views, amazing sunrise, immaculate accomadation, relaxing and a great place to unwind and recharge your batteries. The view from the pool looked out to the sea and mountains, nothing but the sound of insects ( cicadas), birds and the odd horn from a cruise ship, Magical......
We will definitely be going back.
Fantastic property with equaly you superb views out to sea.
The area is rural and very relaxing, very little noise pollution and fantastic night sky,s.
The property itself has everything you might need for a get away from it all holiday ..
We had a fantastic time, most of it spent by the pool and sitting by the glorious gardens of the villa
I would highly recommend this property..
Thanks Bob, you have a wonderfully home.

Villa Simla was a perfect place to enjoy a break away from it all. It is situated high above the Ionian sea with a truly magnificent panoramic view, a gloriously refreshing pool and lovely facilities.
The friendly 'George' was there to greet us and show us how it all worked and always just up the road if we needed anything. You'll need a car because it is a few kilometres from the coast and the wealth of lovely restaurants overlooking quaint coves and crystal clear water.
If you are looking for nightlife and lots of Brits...go to the other end of the island. Here you get peace, tranquillity and a real taste of Zante!
Everything about this stay was fantastic. The property was beautiful, in a stunning location, with lots of beaches, walks, restaurants and views nearby. The manager, Gyorgos, was extremely nice and helpful, and did everything we could ask for, and more. We were there for more than two months, and could have stayed longer!
The inside of the property lived up to the photos on the website, the pool was also as shown and has those stunning views.
The property is a very private, beautiful well maintained, clean with very fresh and clean bedclothes and the option to have them changed through the week.
The manager George is a kind and friendly guy who will help with local advice and directions if required.
The Island is small , giving us a short travel time to any part of the Island. We did take at sat-nav but found we did not need it.
We hired a boat for the day to see the coast including the shipwreck, blue caves and the sulphur waters of Xygia, this was great way to see the sites,
we travelled inland enjoying stopping in the small villages to do bit of shopping or have a coffee etc.Volimes is only a few minutes up the road, we found a bakery there and shopping was very good for gifts. There is lots of restaurants and tavernas within easy Distance of Simila. Our favourites for service and stunning views was the Old Windmill ten minutes away at Askos.
We would have no problem reccomending Simila to our friends.
My husband and I have just returned from Villa Simla, where we stayed for our honeymoon. We cannot praise this place highly enough and think it is massively underpriced!
A massive thank you to Bob, the owner for a wonderful stay, and for putting up with my many questions and for answering my emails in super fast time.
I think we had both expected Simla to be similar to the photos but maybe a little worn around the edges, but it isn't. In fact, I think the photos don't do the place justice! The stonework is beautifully rustic, in keeping with the surroundings and Greek tradition, and you can really tell that somebody has put a lot of thought into the decor. There is a lovely mix of traditional and new furnishings, making it a real home from home.
Simla is located in a very peaceful, rural area, with just a couple of other villas nearby - the perfect place to unwind. Because of it's isolated location, a car is absolutely essential. After having spent a week in the busy, touristy Laganas, we found Simla a great place from which to explore the north of the island. We loved driving around the hills and villages, going on boat trips, visiting the shipwreck and eating at different tavernas.
Giorgos, who looks after the villa for Bob, is a wonderfully warm person who just couldn't do enough for us! Thank you so much!
Simla has everything you could possibly need - pots and pans, herbs, cutlery and crockery, CD player, DVD player, huge bag of games, BBQ, private pool, towels, air con in the bedrooms... The only slight negative might be that the wifi doesn't have a great range and will only allow one device to be connected at a time, but how about just switching it off for a while? Relax and enjoy the scenery!
So basically, Simla is pretty perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful break. Neither of us have ever been so sad to see a holiday come to an end!
