About the property

The apartment is spacious, on a south-east facing corner and centrally located

The Rue de France apartment is located only 3minutes away from the main beach in Nice. South of France's Mediterranean haven with plenty to see and do during your holiday. Relax, stretch and spread out in the 100 square metre space or enjoy the bustling palm fringed boardwalk of Promenade des Anglais and stroll towards the splendid old town and port.

Dine in style, with a French-bourgeois backdrop, from the large lounge, which leads on from a fully equipped self-catered, American style kitchen. Three double bedrooms allow friends and family to stay in comfort, blissfully silent at night with full double glazing windows throughout.

Great apartment, great location

  • 5 of 5

Everything we wanted was within easy reach to the apartment - short bus ride away from the airport, short walk from the bus stop, local supermarche across the road (went there every morning to buy fresh baguettes for breakfast). After a couple of days I wanted a shopping trolley like all the locals to put my shopping into.No need for transport if you wish to stay locally as main shops, cafes, old town and train station are all walking distance. Monaco is a very cheap and short train ride away and makes an excellent day out. Apartment is bright and bedrooms are spacious. Main hallway is due for refurbishment but as we were not living in the hallway this did not spoil the quality of our holday. I accepted it as part of French living.

Excellent location, clean and bright flat

  • 4 of 5

The initial hallway was quite dark and dingy but this was in complete contrast to the actual apartment which was spacious, bright and airy. It was a little noisy when we left the windows open at night so we just used the fans on warm nights. It was only 2 minutes from the beach and the supermarket was even closer, very convenient. Overall very happy with our stay and definitely the best value place we have stayed in Nice.

Good location.

Very helpful and easy to book. Main building takes a bit of getting used to, but the apartment is lovely and spacious once inside. Close to all amenities, location is great for beach front, lots to do outside, which is why we chose it.

As early as 7BC the Romans named a province Alpes Maritime - the capital was then Cemenelum, today Cimiez, a suburb in the North of Nice. In 1860, when Nice became French, it was still a small town and the department had fewer than 200,000 inhabitants. However, the population grew quickly from 300,000 at the beginning of the 20th century to over a million. With a distinctly Italian flavour, Nice has been a favourite with English speaking visitors for over 200 years and is now the fifth largest and second most visited city in France. There are panoramic views from the Parc de Chateau and long pebbly beaches for sun worshippers. In Cimiez, Roman bath ruins testify to its importance at the height of the Roman empire. Nice has a great street life, especially during Carnival, a two-week celebration involving parades and dances, culminating in fireworks on Shrove Tuesday.

Other Activities: Wine tasting, art gallery visitis

Ski: A short drive from Nice, skiing on the pistes of Isola 2000 and Auron which are only 1hr 30 min away.

You are perfectly placed in Rue de France. Not only because of the light, airiness and comfort of the large apartment with high ceilings and windows with a side view towards Promenade de Anglias and Mediterranean sea, but the proximity to everything for the ultimate city break. With a selection of superb museums and galleries, some of the best in France, to visit and the closeness of the local fresh food markets, mini-supermarket and fashionable shopping district.

With a 90 minute drive you can be in Italy, Monte Carlo, St Tropez, enjoying the region's many vineyards fine wines or skiing in the Southern alps.

There are nightclubs, casinos and excellent restaurants all within walking distance and the airport is only 20 minutes away on the regular local bus service directly to the departure terminals.

For the fitness freaks you can jog, run, walk, cycle or roller-blade.
