The condo was exactly as listed! Close to the beach and bay and upgraded nicely! Jessica was an excellent host! 2 bedroom 2 bath and PARKING was perfect for wife and three kids! We will be definitely trying to stay here again! Thank you Jessica!

Needs some attention

This property is in a nice, older complex that is mostly year-round residents. It is quiet and family-friendly. The property manager, Frank, was very pleasant and insightful. The apartment is quaint. The misnomer that it is a "penthouse" is pretty deceptive. It is not that by any stretch of the imagination. The location was nice. It's on the south end of Mission, one long block from the ocean and one block from the bay. The apartment served its purpose as a place to stay, but it was not cleaned very well before we showed up. How can you ask your guests to remove shoes when entering but the floors are covered in sand or dirt and kitchen filth when we arrive? The maintenance of the property does not seem to be a priority. Multiple minor issues: refrigerator light, loose/broken outlet plates, inoperable lamps, toilet that shrills randomly all day/night, old mattresses with no support, stripped stove control, dirty dishes in the cabinets, broken couch, etc. All of the furnishings look like they could have been found at a garage/estate sale (old and in poor condition). We had a great visit to the area, but we will not be staying at this place again.

Mission Beach hidden gem condo!

What a great condo, experience and value!! We will definitely stay there again! They had nice plush towels, comfortable beds, all the appliances you'd need and a fantastic view and location!

Great location, clean, owner was great and responsive.

Not too much cross ventilation, so a little warm--but the fans really helped. Wi-Fi worked great. We would have liked a grill to cook outside because the weather was so beautiful--but it was a minor issue.

Perfect Beach Retreat for Family of 4!!

This rental was perfect for our family of 4 with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, balcony, and all the condo necessities such as beach towels, linens, kitchen & dining supplies, and fun stuff too ..board games, wireless speaker, free wifi and a few beach toys. We loved the proximity to the beach and bayside and was so nice to walk to the sand in either direction. Couldn't ask for a better location! A couple blocks away to the South had a great pizza place, taco stand and a local coffee shop and to the North the Belmont Park area. Rebecca was super responsive to all my questions and was so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this unit and renting from Rebecca with her fantastic customer service. This was my first time going through VRBO and so relieved that we had a great experience!

Why they chose this property

My husband and I manage this condo ourselves. This is a very nice unit that we used to live in. Beach residents for over 15 years, we moved inland to raise a family in a house with a garage and yard.

As an avid water and outdoor sports family, we still claim South Mission as our home break. We stay in this condo when we can, keep in touch with the neighbors, and maintain the condo as a 'home away from home' where we would be proud to have our own family and friends stay.

We have a great track record of renting to families and responsible adults. We have several return families year after year -- you can see some of the great reviews they've left on the other site

What makes this property unique

Excellent location with a short walk to the beach or bay, Belmont Park, and 2 close by playgrounds. Views from the 4th floor above surrounding buildings because this building was constructed before the 3-floor height limitation. Covered parking, elevator, security building, garbage chute, on-site laundry room.
