Located in the heart of one of Switzerland's hidden gems, namely the Village of Champex-Lac, is the modern apartment complex of Les Mayens. This luxury Chalet Penthouse Apartment is located in the prime position providing unparalleled panoramic views of the lake, set against the backdrop of the exceptional natural beauty of the Alps. Champex-Lac is ideally located to both the French and Italian Alps.

This beautiful Swiss village has a range of restaurants for a morning coffee and croissant or a relaxing meal . A wonderful place for couples or families regardless of age, looking for an active or relaxing holiday.

In summer a large choice of hiking paths that are varied enough to suit all levels of ability (part of the world famous Tour du Mont Blanc). You can hire boats, pedalos and do fishing, use the lake side play park, swim, play tennis, cycle.

In the winter, reliable snow cover for downhill ski, ski de fond, ice-skating and snowshoeing. Close proximity to many of the world famous skiing resorts like Verbier (20mins).

This luxury penthouse (Top Floor) chalet apartment is decorated and finished to a very high standard. The living room and the large balcony of the apartment provide breath-taking panoramic views of the lake and majestic peaks of the Combins range. The living room is large and open plan and it is divided into a Kitchen, dining and living room area opening onto the balcony. The master bedroom has a large double bed and built-in cupboards as well as en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds and is very spacious. For extra storage there are further built-in cupboards available in the hallway (just opposite the second bathroom). The apartment has high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams throughout which add to the amazing cabin-like atmosphere throughout the apartment. This residence also has a private cellar and storage area for skis , snow boards and boots and a private parking space on the ground floor of the development.

How To Get There: Champex -Lac resort is serviced by excellent rail and road links, open all year (Champex-Lac, 1500m above sea level). The resort is ideally situated in the heart of Swiss Alps, 30 minutes from Verbier.

By Plane:

Champex-Lac is about 1hr 40 mins from Geneva with multiple flights from the 4 London Airports plus direct flights from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster, Dublin, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton.

By Car:

We spent a week at Les Mayens in Champex. Simply the most amazing holiday we have had. The skiing conditions were great and the kids love the variety of things to do in the resort including skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and ice-skating. The ski school was great for the kids and the slopes were not packed making it more enjoyable. Short drive to Verbier where we spent a day skiing.

Apartment is modern with the most spectacular views. Easy to book and very friendly key holder to assist with any questions.

Great holiday and we will be back

Summertime break in Champex Lac

we have had a wonderful stay in this apartment in July 2015 The location is excellent & the view from the penthouse overlooking the lake is stunning . It is Central to all the village amenities . The apartment is well equipped with everything you need & comes with a secure garage space & elevator up to the top floor - a godsend with loads of luggage ! The owner has been helpful throughout our booking with information & advice & booking was a really easy .process . We hope to return to Chamoex soon .

Magnificent views

I stayed together with my girlfriend in the apartment just at the beginning of the summer season in the Alps. Prepared for any weather conditions we decided to rent a flat instead of booking a hotel. Having to spend a rainy day in a small hotel room was the last thing we wanted during our short holiday break.

The apartment turned out to be a perfect solution for our needs. It's located in the very center of Champex-Lac, just vis-a-vis the grocery store, post office, ATM, tourist information and a moment away from multiple restaurants. As vivid hikers we were also very happy with the number of routes available in the area. Champex-Lac is part of the Hikers Haute Route.

However, the real highlight of the property is the amazing view of the lake opening just in front of the windows of the living room. Having the opportunity to start each and every day with a view like that was already a fantastic treat. Besides that, the flat is very well equipped in all kitchen appliances, it has a spacious living room with a TV and a DVD recorder, two bathrooms and two bedrooms (master with a bathroom attached). What's important a fast Wi-Fi connection is included and available. Ah, and not to forget a huge balcony with plenty of space to rest comfortably after long day hiking and enjoy the sunset.

Besides maybe the pillows being a bit hard, we wouldn't be able to find any downsides of this stay and can honestly recommend it. We are very much looking forward to coming back.

Modern spacious apartment overlooking lake

Very modern and at the same time cosy apartment for winter- and summer holidays. The apartment is surprisingly modern and offers good value for money. Ideal for four persons with two separate sleeping rooms and two bath rooms.

Ideally located next to various good restaurants and offering very beautiful view over lake and mountains. Verbier ski areas are within 25 minuntes reach by car.

Fantastic location. Fabulous apartment.

Decided to spend 2 weeks in the French part of Switzerland. Easy drive from UK via Tunnel as had our lovely SHELTIE with us. Not prepared mentally for the approach road into Champex -Lac - steep hairpin bends - but soon adjusted. Apartment modern and clean with fantastic views. SHELTIE went swimming in the lake 3 or 4 times a day - she lived for this treat. First day or so - weather not the best - few light snow showers - but nevertheless enjoyed a few local walks. Then it was t-shirts and shorts for the next 10 days - a great Indian Summer as we say in the UK. Not a cloud in the sky and temperatures well in to the higher 20'c. Managed trips to Martigny, Montreaux, Verbier, Chamonix - Mont Blanc, St. Bernard dogs at the top of the St Bernard Pass and Aosta.

Champex-Lac is beautiful, relaxed and the people very friendly.

An idyllic and tranquil retreat high up in the Swiss mountains, Champex Lac offers a picturesque village surrounded by woods.
