Second floor apartment with lift access and secure underground parking, maintained to a high standard and set in a mature development in beautifully presented quiet, picturesque and spacious landscaped gardens with water feature and 2 communal pools adjacent to Duquesa Golf and Country Club . Hot and cold air conditioning with marble floors and quality furnishings will be appreciated by discerning clients who enjoy those little extras for comfort and style. Bedrooms have full size twin beds, built-in wardrobes the main bedroom having an en suite bathroom. Both bathrooms have wash basin, bath, shower and bidet. The modern kitchen has fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and little extras you often need like an iron and ironing board. Comfortable lounge-dining room with quality furnishings includes dining table and chairs, 2 sofas, coffee table.


The apartment has a direct WiFi connection through a land line with its own internal router. DVD player and Hi-Fi for radio and CD’s. Linen, bedding, towels etc. are included except beach towels.

Puerto de la Duquesa, is ten minutes walk, the picturesque Marina's quayside restaurants, intimate bars, shops a little further the fishing village of Castillo Duquesa with fine fish restaurants. Enjoy shopping, dining, clubbing in Marbella, Puerto Banus.

With 2 pools in the development and a short drive to many unspoiled, un-crowded beaches, you can just take it easy.

Explore Sierra Nevada and the splendid mountain scenery and National Parks in Andalucia, ‘White Villages’ and, within easy driving distance, the famous cities of Cadiz, Cordoba, Marbella (old town), Malaga (old town), Granada/Alhambra, Ronda, Seville, Gibraltar and Jerez or cross the Straits of Gibraltar and visit Tangier.

About Nick or Elena Gillingham

We bought this apartment as our holiday home in 2002 and have ensured it has been maintained to a high standard with a particular focus on cleanliness. Its fully equipped as we are regular users of the apartment ourselves do a lot or our own cooking and enjoy all the local facilities as well as travelling around and sightseeing. There's so much to do in the area. We also find everyone so friendly and really treat this as our second home.

We just found it so peaceful a short distance away from the marina and bars set in some of the most attractive landscaped gardens on the Costa. The designer of these gardens also designed the landscaped gardens at the Hotel Punto Romano in Marbella. You have the added benefit of there being two swimming pools with plenty of sun loungers and sun almost from dusk to dawn.

Amazing stay

Clean apart, seems lie the photos and also have a balcony. We stay two weeks in a peacefull, quiet and cosi charming place. Thank Nick for the oportunity.

Perfect location for exploring Southern Spain

Booking process very speedy and efficient,- just what was needed for our short break which was only arranged last minute.

The apartment description is 100% accurate and being met there by Deb ( having made contact with her as we left Malaga airport) was ideal. it was spotless on arrival.

We did use the aircon, but it worked so well that we only needed it on briefly and the apartment was fine for sleeping after a brief blast.

We were only two, so only made use of the one bedroom , but it would be fine for a family of four to stay.

Kitchen facilities were more than adequate for our needs - couldn't think of anything that was missing !!

We ate on the balcony : breakfast, lunches and evening meals- perfect time to visit ( September) hot enough to swim, sunbathe but ideal for walking too.

We made good use of both pools- very quiet and relaxing. Gardens are beautifully maintained.

Loved the area, visited Ronda, Casares ,Sotogrande, Marbella and of course strolled around the port @ Duquesa -we did take the car down to the port mainly because the walk back was uphill.

Would have no hesitation in returning to this apartment, thank you Nick.

Lovely apartment with great facilities

The apartment is more spacious than the photos suggest. The directions to the property were very clear and helpful. The property was clean and well equipped. The pools and gardens are beautiful and very well maintained, and there's a lovely view of the coast. Great place to hang out by either of the two pools and also close to town - about 10 minutes walk. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped if you fancy cooking basic meals, and there's a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave etc. I would recommend the property no problem. Good day trips to Tarifa and Gibralter, and lots of bars in restaurants by the port, and on the seafront in either direction.

Great apartment, fantastic location! Recommended

We stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks at the end of July / beginning of August 2012. The apartment is situated in a beautiful development just 5 minutes (by car) from the beach. The gardens are very pretty and well maintained. The swimming pools are clean and well looked after. The general atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming and we were very lucky as it wasn't overly busy during our stay. My daughter was happy to spend days on end in the swimming pool, however, the nearby beaches were also great with a lot of cafes and restaurants serving great food for very reasonable prices.

The location of the apartment is also great for day trips to Cordoba, Sevilla, Ronda, Marbella, Gibraltar and Granada. Also, small villages of Mijas and Casares are well worth the visit. There are quite a few supermarkets and shops nearby and the restaurants in Puerto de la Duquesa are abundant. We were quite frankly spoilt for choice.

The apartment itself was perfect for our family of three. It's well equipped with everything you might need on holiday and more. It feels fresh and airy. The owners are a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend and probably come back again at least once in years to come.

very nice plays to stay

We've spent week in Puerta de la Duquesa and it's a really nice place to stay. We had a car and did a lot of sightseeng to Cordoba, Granada, Gibraltar, Sewilla and Tarifa. It's close to A7 road that leads to Malaga, and just 30km from Gibraltar, where you can visit Magotes monkeys :) The apartement is comfortable for 4 person, very well equiped kitchen. It's on the hill, direct view is on the other apartement but the golf clubs surrounding and view on the sea from the pool (there are 2) is splendid. It's waking distance (15min) from marina with yachts, restaurants, shops and the beach. The only problem you may have is to find the apartment if you come at night flight :) so you better ask for direction tips and the photo from the street,not to miss it... - it took us some time and the security guys from other clubs didn't really know how to help us, remember they mostly don't speek english or very poor :) Good luck!
