Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Kensington and Chelsea - Nell Gwynn House

1 Bedroom luxury apartment, sleeps 2 - 3 in relaxed & comfortable surroundings.

Ideal for two, but a comfortable sofa bed provides an extra bed. It's light, airy, and a perfect place to base yourself for a business or holiday visit.

The apartment is situated on the fourth floor (with lifts) and benefits from double aspect windows and double glazing and very pleasant views, making it a sunny and pleasant place to stay.

About Tessa Tennant

I've lived in wonderful London all my adult life, but have now

moved to the South Coast of England, looking across the River,

and the Isle of Wight ferry. I still have lots of friends in London so use the apartment at Nell Gwynn House when it is occasionally not booked as my London bolt hole. I just love being there - the location, the peace, the lovely porters, and all the great feedback I get from guests staying there. The biggest compliment is how many people come back again and again and now call the apartment their 'London' home.

Tessa Tennant purchased this apartment in 2010

Why Tessa Tennant chose Kensington and Chelsea

Convenient, easy to keep, 24 hour porters, elegant reception

and a well maintained block.

What makes this apartment unique

Its not unique, there are lots of flats and studios rented out in the block, but my apartment is a home as well as a rental property and

its important that guests feel that. Its very light, well maintained

and decorated and the location is just about unbeatable .....try it and see.....

Great apartment and location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much. The photos don't do justice to the place. Although it is advertised as small, it feels very comfortable. Tessa has thought of everything. We highly recommend the place.

Lovely unit

  • 5 of 5

My sister & I recently stayed in this property and would gladly stay again. Bus stop and supermarket across the road, the tube not far away. The unit is well appointed, airy and comfy with 24 hour concierge which was a good security feature. Having our own washer/dryer was a godsend after being on a 3 week tour. The unit is well appointed and the extras like tea & coffee supplies/ bathroom products were appreciated. Tessa was wonderful to deal with and couldn't be more helpful. We had a wonderful stay. Cozy and Close to Everything

  • 5 of 5

This is a charming flat located in an Art Deco building in a very safe part of London. Short walk to 2 tube stops, Starbucks and a Sainsbury's Local across the street. The kitchen is fully functional and easy to make any meals you choose to eat in. (Sainsbury's has great fresh croissants for less than a pound each and Tessa provides fresh coffee for the French press in the cupboard.) Lots of cafés and some good pubs nearby too. Terrific shopping at the boutiques on Sloane Avenue and King's Road and Stella MCartney's boutique is just a couple blocks away. The Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum and the Natural History Museum are a short walk as well. Added to the already good mix is Tessa who is very responsive to her tenants. Highly recommend this flat.

Fantastic Apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was great! An easy 10 min walk from the South Kensington tube station. I like this station for luggage handling from Heathrow. Only a few stairs to climb on arrival, and all down hill with the heavy bags on departure!! Also, this station provided easy access with minimal changes for most of the attractions I visited. The apartment was very clean, and provided everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice, comfortable apartment in great location

  • 5 of 5

The building is in a great location, convenient to both the South Kensington and Sloane Square Underground stations. There is a drug store, grocery and Starbucks right across the street. The building itself has been recently refurbished, and the lobby, elevators and other public areas are up to date and attractive. Staff are on duty at the front desk.

The apartment itself is compact but very well laid out. My wife and I stayed here comfortably with our teenage son, who slept on the pull-out sofa. The bathroom and kitchen are modern and very clean. The apartment is a corner unit, so has windows on two sides that can be opened and provide nice views; there is no problem with street noise. The owner takes very good care of the property, and provided helpful written instructions for the appliances and equipment. Based on the comments posted on Homeaway and in the guest book in the apartment, this apartment has a loyal following of happy visitors. We would stay here again.

  • 5 of 5

This is our third stay in this delightful cosy flat . It is perfect for a couple, secure, spotlessly clean with good bathroom and kitchenette. The location is great, short walk to South Kensington and King's Road.Plenty of buses and South Ken or Sloand Square short walk away . Good supermarket across the road and plenty of cafes and restaurants .

Tessa the owner is delightful and responds promptly to any inquiries.
