4 bedroom bungalow built in 2004 in the stunning Black Isle country side

The Macleod family have built a dream house in the Black Isle peninsula that blends beautifully into the landscape and brings the outside in! We are the perfect base for touring the Highlands and also the perfect place to start you journey to the West Coast of Scoland. We have 4 bedrooms one en-suite and two further bathrooms all with showers and one bath. Freesat TV in the lounge and a great family room for the kids to chill out in. Central heating throughout with double glazing. A large wooden cot and high chair is available. The kitchen is fully equipped for 6 and has a wooden floor, easy chairs and a super glass table with leather chairs. Towels are provided. Duvets, pillows and blankets all are provided. Linen is also provided. Our lets run from Friday to Friday which means you avoid the busy saturday traffic on the A9. The house is personally looked after by the owner before each guest arrives. Arrival time from 4. TV in the family room and kitchen.

A bit about us...: The bungalow was newly built in 2004 and designed to maximise on the surrounding nature and views. The are 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 6 people plus there is a lovely big cot available with mattress. We also have a high chair for smaller guests.

You will find a very well equipped kitchen and for your arrival we always have milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, salt and pepper. The kitchen is always stocked with olive oil, various sauces and you may even find the odd bottle of gin/wine if you are lucky! The utility room is fully equipped also with various cleaning items, bin liners, lenor, j clothes and so on.

Sorry, no pets allowed.

We all enjoyed out return visit to The Mill each time it grows on us more. The new washing machine and tumble dryer looked great but we did not use it as we were happy without having this chore to do on holiday. The house is looking great and was as clean and crisp as ever. We did enjoy the large TV in the living room and had such a relaxed week that we will book for longer next year. It was great to see you again Sandra and thanks for all the little extra touches that may our stay feel special

We wish to be able to welcome you to this special property for your holiday and hope you enjoy staying it as much as we do. The area is a lovely quiet spot for total relaxation and is the ideal base for travelling to the West coast or for spending the day in the highland capital of Inverness and you can travel up to Loch Ness The West coast has some super little towns including Ullapool and Gairloch and our own Achiltibuie which is worth a visit for the stunning views of the Summer Isles and the award winning Hotel The Summer isles Hotel for its wonderful menu. We also have a self catering property so you can always ask me for details of it. A fantastic place to stay. You are only half an hour away from the Cairngorm mountains and the skiing town of Aviemore. Great golf courses in Rosemarkie and Fortrose and of course the famous dolphins.

Excellent, well equipped property. Home from home.

This property is excellent, the house is wonderful it is just like home from home, only better and in a wonderful location. The house has 4 good size bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, which made getting ready to go out in the mornings so easy - no rota needed - everyone could shower at the same time.

The living areas have ample room, and the kitchen is so well equipped, everything you need is there.

We will be planning another visit in the future.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday in this wonderful house that is just like home but better. We loved the space outside with the new grass and area for the kids to safely place in . Inside we were truly spoilt by the house and its stunning rooms with ample room for the 6 of us to enjoy and the kids had the family room to allow them to do their own thing and to give us a wee bit of adult time!.

The big new TV, Sandra is amazing and suits the size of the room very well. This is out second visit to this area and we have loved exploring and going to rosemarkie and fortrose in search of the dolphins and being lucky enough to see them was an added bonus. The house is in the perfect place, just 10 mins from the highland capital of Inverness and on the other direction we can visit Sandras West coast and then enjoy the other direction of dornoch and the sandy beach and our visit to Shin Falls. Lots of nice places to eat out and thanks for the basket of welcome gifts which we did enjoy and all the local information and it was great to get a read of the visitors books going back 10 years and to get tips and advice of things to do and places to eat and we even enjoyed ordered a chinese carry out from Dingwall which was delivered to the house free of charge. A treat after a big day out at Aviemore which is a 45 min drive away.

Next year we will be back to visit you again and will be telling our friends about

you and your charming elegant property and take care and look after this special place for us.

Best holiday accommodation ever!

This house is just the perfect base to explore the highlands and we could not have wished for more. The welcome backet of "goodies" was a nice touch but not very good for the waistline!! The peace and quiet we loved and all the birds to see around was an added bonus.

We, a family of 6 had lots of space with 3 bathrooms and showers it was never a rush in the morning but as we were in no hurry to leave your beautiful home Sandra this was not a problem. looking forward to returning next year and thanks for everything.

Highland Holiday

You must be very proud of your husband for building such a lovely home! We enjoyed reading your welcome pack especially about your family.Most evenings I took a walk around the graveyard. So peaceful. Found the pirates grave,another time I spend ages watching 4 goldfinches flying about by the gate. Thank very much again for your help and understanding and we will certainly aim to return to your special property.

brilliant holiday

My family and I haved stayed at this property for 4 times now and each time we enjoy it more - the house is great and the little extra touches make it special. the new sofas and recliner in the family room are ideal for relazing after a day out in the highlands. We will return to this house again and again as it provides us with everything we need for a comfortable, warm and welcoming holiday base.

Fantastic holiday!

My family and I had a great holiday at The Mill and would recommend it to everyone. The house is just great and has everything you need for your holiday in such lovely peaceful surroundings. It is a joy to stay in such a property and we will certainly be returning again next year. Thanks Sandra for everything and the house is a credit to you. We are in a private site on the edge of a wood with your own driveway and parking for 3.cars.

Our intention has been to provide luxurious and relaxing breaks in the Highlands throughout the year - including Christmas and New Year.

The surrounding villages offer excellent amenities as well as some outstanding leisure activities such as walking, cycling, pony trekking, quad biking, fishing, bird watching, golfing, go-karting and paintballing.

In the winter, you are only an hours drive from Aviemore and there excellent skiing facilities.

Discover the dolphins in the nearby Moray Firth - there are trips to view the dolphins from nearby Cromarty and from Inverness. Dolphin watching has become a major attraction in the region and an experience unlikely to be forgotten!

The house is a home from home with many personal touches to make your holiday special.
