This two bedroom 1 bath house is so comfy and cozy, you won't want to leave. There is a large covered deck in the back to sit, relax, read or have a glass of wine. The back yard is fenced in for your privacy and private enjoyment. There is even a little reading nook off to the side of the kitchen for the non cooks to relax and supervise. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and chest of drawers. The floors are wood with area rugs and the bedrooms are carpeted. This home is very clean and feels like new.
I grew up in Nashville and graduated with a teaching degree. After backpacking for a year and a half through Fiji, New Zealand and Australia, I decided being a flight attendant was more my calling. I lived quite a while in Australia and decided to move back to the US when I drove through Red Lodge. I met a South African and got married so now we spend a lot of time in Africa where we run a safari tour company.
Shari purchased this house in 2003
I loved this house because of the curb appeal. The old stone wall in front and the big maple trees in front and back lured me in.
I am quite the bird watcher so I love sitting on the deck and watching all the birds. I have houses, baths, and feeders around to attract them and we had a little family move in the pink bird house by the deck a couple of years ago. I'm hoping they spread the word for this year.
The house was lovely. Just like the pictures & description. We had a great visit in Red Lodge, and would definitely stay here again. Some info on how to operate the TV would have been helpful, but the binder with all the other local information was great!!
The owners take great care of this house it was spotless and cozy. We love the location. You can easily walk downtown to restaurants and coffee shops.
We came up for a quick getaway with our kids over Christmas. The house was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. We did a lot of cooking in the kitchen and found it to be well stocked and easy to use. The location is only 2 blocks from main street, making it easy to wander around without driving. Overall, it's a great place to use as a base for exploring the area.
Will book again for our next stay in Red Lodge..
We came over for a quick night away in Red Lodge and had a great stay. Shari was responsive to messages and was more than accommodating! The house is located right near main street so you can window shop, grab a coffee, and find a fun place to eat. We could even see a glimpse of the runs at the Red Lodge Mountain ski area through the back kitchen window. We made dinner at the house and found the kitchen to be well-stocked. The house was very clean and well-maintained. We plan on coming back soon and plan to tell our friends about it too!
This is my 7th or 8th scrapbooking trip to Moose Traks and this house now feels like home all thanks to the delightful owner, Shari. She really wants her guests to be taken care of and you can tell by the personal touches she adds throughout the house. It is so fun and exciting to see the new décor, furniture, games, or electronics that she has added since the last stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with great cookware, the beds and couches are very comfortable, and she has a new kitchen table...perfect for our scrapbooking needs :) One of my favorite memories about this trip was meeting Shari, she is such a sweet lady! Thanks for everything!
We are two streets off Main street so you are close enough to walk yet far enough to have the peace and quiet. At night you can hear rock creek from the bedroom window. A drive up the Beartooth pass and into Yellowstone Park is a must see. There are plenty of hiking trails and bikes can be rented to ride around town. There are numerous restaurants and shops in town to keep you busy for a few days as well.
