Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Red Lodge

This two bedroom 1 bath house is so comfy and cozy, you won't want to leave. There is a large covered deck in the back to sit, relax, read or have a glass of wine. The back yard is fenced in for your privacy and private enjoyment. There is even a little reading nook off to the side of the kitchen for the non cooks to relax and supervise. Both bedrooms have queen size beds and chest of drawers. The floors are wood with area rugs and the bedrooms are carpeted. This home is very clean and feels like new.

About Shari

I grew up in Nashville and graduated with a teaching degree. After backpacking for a year and a half through Fiji, New Zealand and Australia, I decided being a flight attendant was more my calling. I lived quite a while in Australia and decided to move back to the US when I drove through Red Lodge. I met a South African and got married so now we spend a lot of time in Africa where we run a safari tour company.

Shari purchased this house in 2003

Why Shari chose Beartooth Mountains

I loved this house because of the curb appeal. The old stone wall in front and the big maple trees in front and back lured me in.

What makes this house unique

I am quite the bird watcher so I love sitting on the deck and watching all the birds. I have houses, baths, and feeders around to attract them and we had a little family move in the pink bird house by the deck a couple of years ago. I'm hoping they spread the word for this year.

A happy repeat renter

This is my 7th or 8th scrapbooking trip to Moose Traks and this house now feels like home all thanks to the delightful owner, Shari. She really wants her guests to be taken care of and you can tell by the personal touches she adds throughout the house. It is so fun and exciting to see the new décor, furniture, games, or electronics that she has added since the last stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with great cookware, the beds and couches are very comfortable, and she has a new kitchen table...perfect for our scrapbooking needs :) One of my favorite memories about this trip was meeting Shari, she is such a sweet lady! Thanks for everything!

Welcome Oasis

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our two friends arrived at Moosetracks, our fingernails still imbedded in our arm rests from our experience of crossing the Beartooth Pass. ( this time the gale force winds made it extra 'exciting'). "Wine!", I said. We entered the house and immediately were enveloped by the cozy atmosphere, charming decor, perfectly equipped kitchen .... And that back deck! As we sat there sipping our wine I asked my friends. "Do you think we actually blew off the Pass? Are we in Heaven?" Because that's what it felt like. Comfortable furniture, beautifully landscaped yard, curtains gently billowing in the breeze... Ahhhh.

We will stay at Moosetracks again if we're in the area. It's immaculate too... Bring your own dust.

House was clean, had everything we needed and was two blocks from the main dowtown area

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as expected, was very clean, and was close to town - All that we needed for the long weekend. The one downfall is that there isn't any view to speak of but with it being walking distance from the bars and restaurants it is very convenient.

A fantastic Red Lodge retreat with all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at Moose Traks. The weather was great so much of our time was spent on the amazing back patio, which is a perfect outdoor living space. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds and furniture comfortable, and Shari has a great guide to Red Lodge with restaurant information, menus, and information on regional activities. With just a couple of block to walk to the main street, the car can stay parked in the shade of the lovely front yard pines. I've used vacation rentals around the world, and this one is one of the best maintained, well equipped, and private spaces I have rented! Thanks for a lovely couple of days!

It was wonderful and perfect

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Moose Traks. It was exactly what my wife and two daughters needed after traveling for 5 days and staying in rustic cabins and hotels. The attention to detail was impressive. You have a beautiful place. The yard was serene. The bed was luxurious. First time my back hasn't hurt in a month. Red Lodge is awesome. Saw some great music too

We are two streets off Main street so you are close enough to walk yet far enough to have the peace and quiet. At night you can hear rock creek from the bedroom window. A drive up the Beartooth pass and into Yellowstone Park is a must see. There are plenty of hiking trails and bikes can be rented to ride around town. There are numerous restaurants and shops in town to keep you busy for a few days as well.
