I'm not sure how anyone could possibly find something wrong with this place. The house is beautiful, clean, functional and in a convenient location. Everything was in working order (AC, appliances, pool, ice maker) and the owner was nothing but helpful / responsive. The pictures speak for themselves in terms of the stunning decor. The living areas are spacious and extremely inviting. The bedrooms are very comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and in almost every room. The outside / pool area is huge. The house has every modern affinity you could ask for (Sonos, TVs in every room, top of the line appliances, etc). I would leave a 6 star review if I could and would absolutely stay here again.
So much is broken in the house and the owner didn’t keep his word!
While this house looks beautiful, there was so much broken that we spent the better part of the first week there calling the owner, waiting for repairmen, dealing with the town officials from East Hampton and being significantly inconvenienced. The master bath shower leaked into the den. We couldn’t take showers in the master bath and had towels on the floor of the den. The AC broke and for 3 nights we didn’t have AC in 4 bedrooms when it was super hot out. Moreover, the screens to many of the doors were broken so we couldn’t open them when the AC was broken since all the bugs would come in. The pool lights were broken, the ice maker didn’t work and i ne of the dish washers didn’t work. An official from the town of East Hampton came 3 days in a row because the neighbors complained that the owner broke the rental and noise ordinances. We were on the phone all week with the owner who offered to reimburse us 1/2 of our rent, but when the rental period was over, he sent a text saying he would only reimburse us $200. This is so dishonest and disingenuous. While the house looks beautiful, I would never trust this owner! Renter beware...
I am very sorry that my home was such a disappointment to you and your family. It is my sincerest intention to due my very best to ensure each and every guest has a memorable time in my home. I do appreciate your feedback but there are quite a few discrepancies with your review. For myself and for future guests I would like to respond with transparency and honesty to your review.
While there was a shower leak in my home I did contact you 5 days prior to your arrival letting you know of the situation and gave you several options to cancel, find a new place, or postpone your arrival until the work was finished. You chose to arrive and infact asked you could arrive a day early at no cost as a gesture for your inconvenience. I agreed under the understanding that you were aware that there would be repairs taking place. So I am little surprised to here that this was a complaint of yours as you were well aware of the situation. It was also a tiny leak and at no time did anyone ask you to take shorter showers or not use the shower at all as it was a vey small leak similar to that of a dripping faucet. Upon that I did give you discount rate for the days the leak was happening.
Regarding the AC this was an issue and I am terribly sorry that it shut down I can understand your frustration. With that said from the time you contacted me it was repaired with in 5 hrs I am a little surprised to hear that you would have not contacted me with no air conditioning for 4 days. On top of that there are 4 zones in my home and the zone that wasn’t working only affected 2 guest bedrooms and no other part of the house. It’s also surprising to me as there are no screen doors in those bedrooms so I am not sure who was so hot.
The ice machine that did take 24hrs to be fixed and I do apologize as that is unacceptable. However I did have 2 delivery’s each day of ice.
Regarding the pool lights unfortunately the router was not reading the system which again my apologies for this inconvenience. With that said the pool lights worked perfectly fine it just required you to walk about 50ft and manually turn them on and off.
With the new town rental regulations the town will stop by and check in on registered rentals but they would never come by for noise complaints that is the police.
Unfortunately your stay came up short I would hope you would try my home again so I can have another chance to create a memorable experience for you.
Amazing, clean, fully equipped property
Chris is nothing but totally accommodating, easy going, and a wonderful host. The house is perfect for a large group in any season. We loved the chef’s kitchen and bedrooms with all memory foam mattresses!
A really beautiful home with everything you could need....
We stayed at Christopher's incredible home for the last 2.5 weeks and were really impressed with the beauty and convenience of the place. It has been very thoughtfully designed and all conveniences provided. He was very responsive on the couple of occasions where we needed something fixed. And when we needed to extend our stay, he was very flexible and helpful. All around, a really beautiful house in a great location. Highly recommended!

This is an absolutely gorgeous home and my friends and I loved our weekend there. The owner is extremely attentive to anything you may need during your stay, too. Highly recommend!!
