Lovely weekend in Wiltshire
The Old Woodstore at the White Cottage was cozy and charming for our weekend stay. The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful, and the Compasses Inn served delicious meals in a friendly, traditional pub setting just across the road.
Pretty rural retreat
Fantastic communication with Soo, she was so very kind and even gave us a lift to and from the station with was wonderful. The wood store has everything you need for a perfect rural retreat. We will certainly return.
Beautiful place to come and escape from the chaos of daily life!
Such a beautiful cottage set in the most idyllic location. Soo was such a wonderful host and made us feel so at home and welcome. The cottage itself is so cozy and has everything you could ever possibly need. The breakfast hamper was fab and the vase of fresh cut flowers where the cherry on the cake!! The local area is stunning and even though my husband wasn’t able to walk much we still enjoyed some beautiful sights. We will definitely be booking up to come again!
Cosy and delightful
What can we say, what a perfect place to stay, Soo was amazing, the cottage was amazing, and thank you for the breakfast readys and for lighting the log burner for us after a miserable journey. Would and have already recommended this property to my friends, will definitely be staying again, thank you.
A perfect weekend
What a wonderful place to get away from it all. Soo provided an incredibly warm welcome to such a beautiful place to unwind. The furnishings were comfortably and elegant. The bed was super comfortable. A very welcome breakfast hamper was provided...who can say no to croissants!
And wow - what a beautiful cottage garden to sit in and listen to the happy bees and watch the butterflies.
Two of the nights we ate at The Compasses across the road...again, another warm welcome and great food.
The Wiltshire countryside offered walks galore and picture box villages to admire.
The only disappointment? Not getting to enjoy the log burner...next time we will visit in the Winter!
We stayed for a weekend, and absolutely loved it. The garden is beautiful and tranquil, and the flat is a perfect size for two with everything you need. Would love to visit in the winter with the wood burner, must be really cosy. Cannot recommend it enough! Many thanks
