2 bed, 2 bath log cabin. Sleeps 7 comfortably, 1 king, 1 queen, 1 queen sofa sleeper, 1 twin couch bed. Surrounded by beautiful pines. Big front and rear deck to relax. Gas grill, microwave, smooth top stove, Direct TV, 50 inch flat screen with DVD player. Very relaxing nice well taken care of rustic log cabin. Golf, Hiking trails, biking all near by.

This vacation home is a fully furnished, 2BR/2BA cabin in Munds Park, Arizona in the Coconino National Forest. This is our 2nd home that has everything you need to enjoy your well deserved vacation.

Located just 15 minutes south of Flagstaff , 45 minutes from the amazing red rocks of Sedona and 90 minutes from the Grand Canyon. Munds Park offers activities for all to enjoy. Hiking, fishing, hunting, ATV riding and more are minutes away.

Why Donnie Yantis chose Arizona

If you want to relax in a nice cabin in the pines, this is the place! It is a modest, rustic property. We bought it because we wanted a reprieve from the heat of Phoenix in the cool pines, that is not too far to drive from Phoenix.

What makes this cabin unique

We just love the front covered porch. Very relaxing to sit on the outside and listen to the breeze through the pine trees. We like the simplicity of it, walks on the neighborhood roads, and the rustic feel. Just perfect to sit back and relax!

"The delightfully decorated cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed from bedding to grilling and everything in between. The front porch was welcoming and comfortable, the kitchen allowed for dining in, living room great for family bonding, two whole baths good for our large family, and cozy dining room with back patio entry to grill and relax!

Our boys enjoyed the "camp experience" of shared space together at bedtime, snacked on S'Mores while they watched movies, and played games together; not to mention the day trips to local sights.

The location of the cabin at Munds Park was perfect for us to easily access surrounding attractions. We enjoyed trips to the Grand Canyon, The Grand Falls, the town of Williams and Downtown Flagstaff shops and restaurants. Hiking at the park also offers beautiful views.

This was a pleasant "home away from home" and we hope to return again."

Stay was okay

We spoke with the rental owners and asked if we could check in early because we wanted to miss some bad weather coming in. This was agreed on yet when we arrived at the home at 12:30 nothing was cleaned, blankets and towels on the floor and dishes still in the sink. I called the owners and they said they would send their cleaner. She spoke with me and she and the owners said the place would be done by 2 if we went and had lunch somewhere. We returned around 2:15 and nothing had changed no one had been there. I again contacted the owner and finally the cleaner showed up to clean so then the first two hours of our stay involved sitting on the couch trying to stay out of the way of the cleaning lady. As she was cleaning we noticed that she changed the sheets in the beds to be new clean sheets but the comforter however was not cleaned or exchanged for a different clean comforter. Because of the inconvenience the owners gave us back $100 which was appreciated but what occurred should still be included in the review. After that the stay was nice if we needed more heat they turned it up accordingly and were very kind.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the fact that the house cleaner was unreliable. Please know that she was given specific instructions to wash the comforters, and there are additional ones in the guest room closet so there is always a clean one on hand. Sadly, we had to let her go and have since hired a new person to clean. She is much more conscientious and reliable. It can be a challenge to find someone who takes pride in their work in such a small community. Be assured that if you decide to rent with us again, the cabin will be fresh and ready to enjoy!

My only complaint would be that the beds were Kind of uncomfortable. I slept on the twin in the living room the second night so my back would feel better. But other than that it was great!

It was OK

My family and I had to check in to the North Pole experience at 5:10 and the check-in time wasn't until 4:00. I asked if it was possible to just get in at 3:00 or even 3:30 in order to unload our items and find the cabin while there was light out. We were told no due to the house being cleaned. I really feel

It shouldn't have been a big deal and the renter could have been more accommodating. Aside from that, the cabin isn't that warm, the thermometer is locked and controlled by the owner. It was set at 68 which was fine for the night in the bedrooms, but the rest of the place doesn't warm up that well. The kitchen wasn't stocked that well with pots and pans, so if you are planning on cooking big meals, it may be hard. We made do with what we had. There weren't very many towels available. No access to the dryer for wet snowy clothes. No shovel, which we could have used in order to fit two vehicles. We were able to call other guest to bring shovel prior to heading up. The beds were ok, the pull out is very uncomfortable. Overall we had a fine time and it is by no means a terrible place to stay, it could have been better and compared to other cabins we have stayed at, it wasn't the best.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We can usually accommodate an early check in, however, occasionally we will have a back-to-back rental and we feel it is imperative to have the cabin cleaned thoroughly before the next guest arrives. This is very important to be able to maintain the cleanliness of our property and insure each guest is confident that they have clean linens and bathrooms, etc. We have always kept at least 10 bath towels available and 5 hand towels, plus several dish towels. I'm not sure how many you needed, but no-one has ever needed more than 10 towels for one stay. The pull out couch bed mattress is standard for most pull outs. We have slept on a few ourselves and they are never the same quality as a regular bed/box spring mattress. We do keep a shovel out for our guests in the winter. We apologize for the fact that it wasn't available during your stay. There is a full set of pots and pans in the kitchen. Again, I'm not sure how many guests you had, but we have personally cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people with the pans and dishes kept on hand. We do control the thermostat remotely. We also make a point to tell our guests that we will turn the heat up at a moment's notice if it's not warm enough! In addition, there are two electric wall heaters in the bedrooms that can be regulated by the guest. With those turned up, it actually gets too warm in the bedrooms! Thank you for staying at our property. We sincerely appreciate your patronage!

Good location and Neighbors

It was a comfortable cabin. A nice break for the heat. Loved the porch area. We spent most of our time there. We would have used the back deck but it was very messy. The neighbor across the street was helpful when we needed tools for our bikes. A couple of suggestion: provide wash clothes and dish clothes. The lighting in the cabin is very poor. There was a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door and the microwave was dirty as well when we arrived. It was a good value for the price.

Owner's Response: Thank you for providing information on your stay at our cabin. I'm not sure what was "messy" on the back porch. There is a very good quality large glass patio table with four large cushioned chairs, a gas grill, charcoal grill, and a set of two lightweight lawn chairs with a small table that can be easily carried off of the porch to sit in the yard. Other than those items, there should be nothing else on the porch. We apologize for the oversight by our house cleaner missing the dirty towel on the back of the door and the microwave not being cleaned. This is unacceptable and we have since hired a new person to clean who is much more conscientious. We keep two dish scrubbers and several sponges to clean the dishes. This is a more sanitary method for washing than dish cloths, as the bacteria can spread to other items when washing them. We also keep at least 5 hand towels on hand that are suitable for personal hygiene. There is a very bright light with a dimmer switch in the dining room. The kitchen has two ceiling lights and each bedroom has a three bulb floor lamp. Bathrooms both have ample lighting. The only area that is dimly lit is the family room. It has one floor lamp, but if additional light is needed in that room, the two ceiling lights in the kitchen can be turned on and will easily add plenty of light, as the two rooms are adjoined and not terribly large. If you decide to stay with us again, please feel free to contact us during your stay with any questions, so we can help to make your visit as comfortable as possible. We greatly appreciate your patronage and sincerely thank you for staying at our cabin!
