About Eli or Raymond
For the past many years, we have lived in Provincetown or Truro in a number of houses. We had this house built in 2001 and have amassed an eclectic collection of objects of all kinds. We have degrees from colleges in our native states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. Raymond is a landscape painter. It is a great pleasure to wake up to an outstanding water view and then be with all kinds of treasures throughout the house. The interior photos were taken for insurance purposes and we will take more comprehensive ones of each room in about a month and post them. The house is not furnished with a summer rental in mind. We will make it more suitable to accommodate a number of people with larger beds and more televisions before it is is rented during the summer. The setting is quite outstanding and the interior is quite special. There is a 10 zone irrigation system and it is special treat is to pick blueberries on the land during July and August.
Eli or Raymond purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2001
Why Eli or Raymond chose North Truro
The house has views from all rooms of Cape Cod Bay, which is always changing depending on the sun or wind that day. It is within sight of all that Provincetown offers but is only minutes away by car or shuttle bus. The mature landscape has provided privacy from surrounding houses and the road.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The house has the combined qualities of good classic design, room for guests, privacy and spectacular unobstructed views.

Best Cape house ever!
Elegant, roomy, and well-tended to, this is the perfect Cape house. The owners communicated everything to us accurately, answered all of our questions, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The setup of the house is great for either 6 or 8 guests, with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths that offer complete privacy. The artwork is enjoyable to look at, and the furniture was comfortable, clean, and lovely. The view from the outside decks is amazing, as you can see all the way from Wellfleet to Provincetown, even if the weather is slightly hazy. The grounds are meticulously maintained, with beautiful landscaping. The property is close to a magnificent private beach; stairs to the beach are sturdy and well-maintained, and there is even beautiful greenery to admire along the way. We cannot say enough about how great this experience was for our family, and highly, highly recommend this amazing property!
great view on Provincetown bay
everything was fine
Beautiful home, incredible location
Our family has vacationed in Cape Cod for many years, but the location of Eli and Raymond's home is by far the best we have had. From every room, not to mention the two decks, views of Cape Cod Bay and Provincetown are stunning. Stairs down to the private beach are just next door, so beach access is fast and easy. As previous reviewers have noted, this isn't your typical beach rental. The house is full of Eli and Raymond's collections and art, and is not furnished as a rental property. The layout of the home is perfect for a group. With two large, well-appointed bedrooms (with en suite baths) on each floor, everyone has space and privacy. It was nice not to have to bring (or rent) linens! The open kitchen and ground floor living space are very comfortable for a group, but you will probably spend most of your time on the gorgeous deck. Truro has a few cool restaurants and shops, but if you need more choices, Provincetown is just minutes away. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this
Our family have been summer beach renters for over 10 years and we can say without hesitation that this is a very special and unquie home. This is not your typical rental. Not even close. It is Eli and Ray's creation which is both beautiful and functional. The house and property are immaculate . You may never want to leave the grounds. The view is spectacular. However, if you do venture out everything is close by. Truro has the best town beachs . Get a weekly pass at the nearby beach office and check out Longnook Beach or Head of the Meadow Beach. The National Seashore is close as are the bike paths. Provincetown is just down the street with lots of Resturants. However check out the local Truro places which we enjoyed even more. Eli and Ray are gracious and thoughtful hosts. You will enjoy every minute.
We were very glad to have a family with the education and profession such as yours stay at our house. It was left in superb condition and we appreciate your taking good care of it even with college students there. Our friends say there are too many objects in the house but it is like staying at someone's house for a week that has collected interesting items for many years. With the information we had about you and your family before accepting the reservation, we had no concern or doubts about having you stay there.
You are welcome to contact us if you need a referral for a rental in the future. Today, I requested that you full deposit be returned to you soon. We appreciate the excellent review.
Beautiful Home & Views
We just returned from a week stay at Eli & Raymond's home in North Truro.
Eli was a pleasure to have correspondence with, with the details of our trip prior to arrival and such a wealth of information...as well, it was a pleasure to meet them both!
Their home was the perfect civilized adult getaway for my husband and I, my father & his wife, sister & husband, 2 friends. There are 4 beautifully appointed bedrooms, all with spectacular views....the main room and dining area also with one of a kind vistas of the expansive bay and gorgeous sunsets. As a chef, I was also enamored of cooking the fresh fish and vegetables we purchased at the local markets in the open kitchen fully equipped with all the details a chef may desire.
And as lovers of art and beauty, we were all so grateful for the tasteful and beautiful aesthetic - and of Raymond L'Heureux's gorgeous paintings that adorned the walls of scenes of the Cape.
The views from the home were spectacular from morning to sundown to evening, whatever the weather.
(Side note! We loved that the entire home had lighting that were on dimmers in the various areas of the home - perfect for adjusting the light at different times of the evening...)
Eli & Raymond's home is truly a special place to spend a week at the Cape -
the perfect location for a morning or evening stroll on the beach just in front of the home, to Provincetown for local color & shopping, short drive to ocean side beaches, and Wellfleet for seafood at Hatch's Market.
But above all, the meticulously curated home, stunning views and kind owners, made our time on the Cape a truly memorable and elegant week.
Thank you Eli & Raymond!!
We were very glad that you enjoyed the home we have created over the past 15 years even though you weather was not the best. An advantage of staying at the house, is that the views from the house and light coming in through 80 windows and doors make it interesting in any kind of weather plus there objects and painting collected over many years that make staying there interesting.
Thanks very much for taking good care of the house and even for leaving a few leftovers that we enjoyed. We had a taste of your culinary abilities.
If you need a referral for a future rental, we would be glad to provide one about the superbly educated and professional people who were guests.
Cape Cod National Seashore is nearby. The adjacent towns of Wellfleet and Provincetown have theaters, art galleries and museums, vibrant night life, restaurants, churches, whale watching and a very busy walking streets.
