Great 3-bed holiday home (allowing dogs) to rent in Milford-on-Sea (close to New Forest/Sea)

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Pine View Cottage (Milford-on-Sea) with our dog Milo. We had a great time - the cottage is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and had everything we needed for a short stay. Milford-on-Sea is excellently placed for excursions to the seaside, walks in nature reserves and along the shore (eg Hurst Castle), to the New Forest and further afield to Bournemouth.

The property was very well kept with a good kitchen (incl. washing machine/microwave/dishwasher), large lounge/conservatory, a large TV and wifi. There's a small patio area to the rear - which is great for quite times outside unwinding with an evening coffee.

We stayed during the hottest of weather in July (2018). There's a brilliant local walk not 500yds from the cottage - it's along a valley path through a beautiful wood - shaded and cool with a gentle stream flowing down the middle. Given the 30oC temps in the open - this was ideal for Milo, even during a late morning walk - he really enjoyed the water!

In sum, this is an excellent place to stay with so many local attractions to visit - many of which are dog-friendly! Very highly recommend. *****

Peaceful, spacious and convenient

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at Pine View Cottage. There was ample space for 2 adults and one child so we didn’t actually need the second double bedroom. The house has all mod cons, is very well maintained, and it’s easy to relax in either the living room or light-catching extension. Parking is not a problem. An excellent base for exploring the coast and New Forest.. There’s a great walk to Keyhaven and lots of beaches a short car drive away as well as at Milford itself. For a football-mad 8 year old there is even a recreation ground, aka large secluded grass pitch with nets and pavilion, for cricket and football only minutes down the lane (almost opposite the Baptist Church - a bit tricky to spot at first). I would highly recommend Pine View Cottage for a stay at Milford.
