SUMMER AVAILABILITY! We have weekend and week-long availability in August 2018. Book a vacation now for your extended family and friends for the glorious Berkshire summertime!
A hike into rolling rocky hillside groves cut with sparkling ravine streams and waterfalls. A cozy corner to curl into with a book and mug of tea. A steaming hot tub to soak in. Local cross-country ski trails. A bowl of perfectly spiced soup. A placid pond to take an afternoon dip in. Yes, all this and more!
Nine Mountain Retreats is a transformational retreat center, nestled into the Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts. We host group retreats and workshops year-round. People from around the world come to Nine Mountain to explore how to live with a greater sense of belonging and integrity in connection to self, community and the Earth. This space is held as a home to all to who come to be in the woods, supported by the strength of the stone walls, cradled by the canopies of the maples, birches, beeches and pines, cleansed by the gentle babbling flows of the streams and engaged by the activating winds off the hilltops. The ease and natural abundance of this land will support you in taking the bounty back to your own home and life.
Nine Mountain is also a magical vacation rental! Our hand-built post-and-beam house is spacious, sunny and deeply peaceful, but also ready for play. We have six guest rooms in total; three private rooms and three dorm rooms. The private rooms each have a double (1) or queen (2) sized bed. One private room has a loft with a second double mattress. The dorm rooms each have handmade wooden bunk beds with five or six beds, sized for adults. We have three bathrooms (one per floor), two large bathtubs and an outdoor hot tub and shower. Endless opportunities for hide and seek.
Guests are welcome to enjoy our 150+ acres of wilderness and hiking trails, as well as our modest selection of outdoor equipment, games, puzzles and books. The house has wifi. Nearby attractions include Notchview crosscountry skiing, Zoar Outdoor whitewater rafting and Berkshire East downhill skiing. In the other direction, MassMOCA Museum of Contemporary Art. Northampton's shops and boutiques are also nearby.
