This beautiful villa (local lodging license AL 26068) is located on the outer edge of the village of Almoçageme, 600m from the sea, 15 minutes from either Sintra or Cascais and 35 minutes from Lisbon. It enjoys a beautiful relaxed open view of forest covered hills with the sea in the back ground. A two minute walk takes you to restaurants, cafés and shops. A ten minute walk takes you to Praia da Adraga beach voted one of the most beautiful in Europe. From the beach there are walks along the coastal protected area with breathtaking views of the cliffs and the sea. The house has a very large living and dinning area opened to a wide veranda with no buildings in front and a fantastic view to the Atlantic. It has 4 bedrooms, 3 washrooms, and a large and bright semi-basement with opening sofas for a total of 10 adults and some more children. It has a full kitchen, bbq area with table and chairs, cable TV, wireless internet, table tennis and parking for 4 cars. The view can also be enjoyed from the pool and BBQ area.

Lovely spacious house
We were really lucky with the weather in October and have been able to enjoy the afternoon sun and views of the mountains and sea from the western balcony most afternoons and the BBQ area for dinner in the evenings. The children loved Praia da Adraga and the spectacular waves.
On the last day it was colder and we had dinner in the kitchen, which was also fine with 10 people.
We visited two restaurants (Sisudo and Praia Grande) and they were both excellent!
We were a family of 3 couples, grandmother and 3 children and the house is spacious enough to easily accommodate us all. In terms of sleeping we would say the house is ideal to accommodate 8 and there are only 2 double beds. In our case the children slept in de garage, but in October this is a bit damp.
The house is very well equipped and has everything you need. Our only remark is that the mattresses are not very comfortable.
Large and spacious with everything you need including lovely views of sunsets
This house is large enough for two families to have a lot of space. Its clean and has numerous places to eat both in and outside. The village is about 5 minutes walk from the front door of the property, with a few cafes, bar and restaurant. The beach is also 5 minutes drive from the house or a walk but as we had small children with us we didn't make the walk. The beach is stunning.
This is a great are to visit with beautiful architecture, scenery and beaches all accessible. Alongside being under an hour from Lisbon I would highly recommend it.
Wonderfull house, great location!
Besutiful, clean, great area, nice village, walk to the ocean.
Large house in nice surroundings
Wonderful house, plenty of rooms, and nice surroundings. The host is very friendly. Close to Lisboa, Sintra and beautiful beaches. Be aware of the weather in this area, as it is close to the sea and up in the mountains, which creates a special climate. The villge is also nice.
We enjoyed our stay a lot!
Great holiday for all ages
Nine of us enjoyed this comfortable villa and its pool, table tennis and incredible views. Lilla, the owner, is great and provided more sunbeds within a few hours when we asked. Antonio made the booking easy and promptly gave us lots of pre arrival information when we asked. Almocegeme is a wonderful town with plenty of shops cafes and a great restaurant Sisuda. Nearest cafe, supermarket and restaurant are literally 1-2 min walk away. But the beach is 1.1 km (15-20min walk) minute walk but worth it as it is stunning. Good transport for both Sintra and Cascais. We had our fair share of cloud and wind but when the sun did come out' it was a perfect temperature. Due to the hillside location, there is not enough room for all of us to sit around the pool but small groups could gather on different terraces and enjoy views or to get out of the prevailing wind. We would certainly come back but don't expect long sunny days, you get those in Cascais on the other side of the mountain.
Thank you for your positive review. The summer weather in Sintra and its coastline reaches above 30 degrees while in Cascais, only 15 minutes away, can go up to 40 degrees but with small crowded beaches. The beaches near the house are natural, wide, with cliffs but also have cafes, restaurants and showers.
Nearby beaches include Praia das Maçãs (4km) with its various seafood restaurants, cafés and craft shops, Praia Grande (3km) with cafés by the sand and surfing schools and Azenhas do Mar (6km), with traditional houses hanging on a cliff. Two giant seawater swimming pools with all facilities including kid´s pool can be found by the beaches. Colares' wine cellar is only 3 km away. Cabo da Roca, Europe's most western point is 4km away. Sintra is 15 min away and offers such sites as the National Palace, Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais Palace, Moorish Castle, Monserrate Palace, Capuchos Convent and many botanical gardens. In Lisbon, 35 min away, one can see the Alfama Moorish area with live 'fado' music, the Bairro Alto quarters and the riverside area of Belem. Cascais night-life and Estoril casino are 12km away.
Other Activities: There are various surfing schools
