This custom two story oceanfront, east-side of Hawaii, home is so close to the gorgeous Pacific Ocean you’ll feel like you are on a cruise ship. This 2800+ SF house has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and 180 degrees of unobstructed views where you can watch colorful sunrises and marine life like whales, dolphins, and turtles play in the ocean. Have an enjoyable Hawaiian vacation where you can listen to the waves and feel the ocean breezes. The home is located near the most eastern tip of the Big Island and due to tradewinds and seabreezes is almost always free of VOG (volcanic Haze) that affects the air quality in other parts of the island.

Our home has been lovingly prepared and will make even the most discriminating traveler happy. This home offers peace and relaxation in a dramatic setting with panoramic views of the ocean. Listen to the songs of myna birds at sunrise and sunset. Refresh yourself in the pool or go on a leisurely stroll in the nearby forest.

Located in a friendly neighborhood, and near a park, this location is great for taking walks, jogs, or bike rides. Or just kick back and relax on the lounge chairs and enjoy the sun and ocean breezes. Conveniently located just 5 minutes from the town of Pahoa which has many stores and restaurants to chose from. Don't forget the wonderful farmer's markets! Just down the road is Pohoiki Beach Park (swimming/surf spot), the Wai Opae fish sanctuary (snorkeling) and geothermal hot ponds. Also close by is the Hawaii Volcano National Park.

We are located 30 minutes from Hilo airport. Check-in is 3:00PM & Check-out is at 10:00AM (unless other arrangements have been made). Directions will be e-mailed to you upon confirmation.

We are also offering, for a small fee, a traditional lei greeting upon arrival and grocery stocking so you can relax the moment you arrive. If interested, please inquire upon booking.

We live in Alaska and frequently fly to Hawaii for vacations. The tropical life greatly appealed to us so we decided to purchase a home in Hawaii. We have been married for 30 years and have 3 lovely girls.

We chose this home for several reasons. We fell in love with the view and believe the house is in a perfect location. We decided to do a vacation rental so we could share this wonderful environment with others. It will also help us maintain the property until the day that we can retire there.

What makes this house unique

We like the tropical breezes, the expansive ocean view and listening to the tropical wildlife. We enjoy the fresh island fruit and creative island drinks.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at your home. The house and grounds are in immaculate condition. The fresh flowers and fruit were an excellent addition. The pool was a lot of fun; J spent a lot of time in it during our stay. The ocean front view cannot be surpassed! Beautiful sunrises and we did see some green turtles bobbing in the surf. The breeze kept us cool and the sound of the waves lulled us to sleep. We had a great time!

Gorgeous place

This is a beautiful home right on the ocean in a very quiet neighborhood. From morning coffee on the deck to falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves, we really enjoyed this place. A couple of things could be added to make this rental 5 star. A gas grill would be nice. A couple of beach chairs, should be provided since the ocean access spots close by are lave rock. The snorkel gear needs to be updated. We left our snorkel stuff behind since it was old and we didn't care to pack it in our suitcases. The house itself was well stocked and very comfortable. A great spot from which to explore the Eastern side of the Big Island.

Owner's Response: We are happy to hear that you found our house to be beautiful and enjoyed your time there. The extensive list of amenities that I have on the VRBO site, and my business website, provide you with many things that help to make your stay in our home enjoyable and give a clear idea of what to expect upon your arrival. We are disappointed that they did not met your expectations. We do provide a brick grill with a grate for your BBQ needs. Being right on the ocean front is very hard on a gas/metal grill as the salt spray rusts the metal very quickly and we would have to replace it once or twice a year. We do provide nice beach towels and a cooler for your trips to the beach. Many times we have to replace those towels and coolers during our stays there as they have a way of disappearing. Also, I personally contact every renter (usually by phone) when they express interest in booking the house or when they have booked to answer any questions they may have. This would have been the perfect opportunity to ask if we had these additional items that you required to make your stay more enjoyable.

Awesome accommodations

Oceanfront Home that was comfortable and well stocked for our 5 person stay. The house was clean and updated. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet. The views were spectacular. The caretaker Melissa was very nice and gave us a lot of good tips for local points of interest. She kept in touch with us to make sure we didn’t need anything. This property was well located as a starting point for multiple activities. Going to Uncle Roberts on Wednesday evening is a must!!! Thank you Jennifer and family for such a great stay.

fantastic

This was our 3rd stay. The property is perfect for all of us(95 year old mother and grandchildren ). We enjoy the dynamic weather and sounds of the ocean. Highly recomend!

Beautiful, Comfortable and Clean

This is a very comfortable home, with a well equipped kitchen. Upon arrival we were greeted by the property manager and given an orientation to the home and area that was very helpful. The property is well kept and was quite clean upon arrival. I look forward to staying again and having a repeat of our relaxing stay. Mahalo
