Photos and Description of this holiday apartment in La Garde-Freinet - Le Studio, Les Rèsidences

An airy bijou studio set in a renovated cork factory on the edge of the ancient Saracen hilltop village of La Garde Freinet. Only a short drive from the world famous beaches around St Tropez - the studio is a perfect base from which to explore this lovely area. Recently redecorated & fitted with a luxury shower room it offers a well equipped kitchenette & ample storage. French windows lead onto the studio's own private garden bordered by hedges & partly shaded by a leafy plane tree - a perfect spot for al fresco dining & an attractive outdoor living space during the long sunny days of the Provençal summer.

Guests can enjoy the lovely swimming pool (mid-May/September), tennis court, formal gardens, a pretty orchard and free secure parking.

To enhance your stay I can arrange a charming British trained visiting beautician/masseuse whose treatments include reflexology and Indian head massage. PLEASE ASK FOR DETAILS WHEN BOOKING YOUR STAY.

Though only a short walk from the village, which provides a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants, the apartment located on the garden side of the property offers a tranquil setting & lovely views of wooded hills.

DOMESTIC ANIMALS: Dogs and cats are welcome provided they are kept under control and are house trained. A supplement of €35 per pet per week will be charged.

Beach and shower towels are provided in the cost of your stay, however if you would like a change of towels mid-holiday please let me know. There will be a supplementary charge for this at a rate of €20 per set.

'Thanks for a wonderful stay Christine! We've had a great time staying in your delightful studio which has everything you'd need for a holiday in the sun. We found the private garden (for relaxing and enjoying our meals) and the pool and tennis court (for some gentle exercise) the perfect combination - the week was over far too soon! Thanks again and we shall return in the very near future'.

We spent a lovely time in this well equipped charming little studio, it offers everything you might need. It was so nice to have a private terrace and we enjoyed the huge swimmimgpool and the tennis court. La Garde Freinet is a perfect spot to explore the Cote d'Azur and the inland, the village is nice with shops and cafes, everything is close by. Unfortunately a week is just too short but we hope to come back!

This was our second stay at the Studio and we do so enjoy staying here. The Studio is well equiped if you should wish to cook, although there are numerous restaurants within walking distance.

Ideally placed for beach days or visiting inland which we like to do,there are so many beautiful villages to explore.

When you return home from a days exploring it's lovely to be able to have a swim in the huge swimming pool and to relax in the pretty gardens.

We shall return without a doubt, thankyou Cristine x

A wonderful apartment in a fantastic location

  • 5 of 5

This lovely studio is well placed to enjoy a lovely local village, with a family friendly atmosphere and wonderful restaurants and bars. Ideal for a couple or a couple with a small child, the studio had everything you needed including a lovely new bathroom and a lovely outside patio. The facilities include a tennis court and wonderful pool. The grounds are beautifully well maintained, just watch out for bugs and take deet with you! We had a warm welcome and it was easy to find and naviagate around. I would certainly recommend this to anyone, and hope to return in the future. I would recommend a hire car as St Tropez and other areas are only a short drive away. Thank you Christine for a wonderful stay.

Lovely holiday in Cote d'Azur and surrounding area

  • 4 of 5

We've just came back from our first trip to the Cote d'Azur and stayed in Christine's studio apartment. This was a perfect setting for sunny relaxing days in the garden or by the pool. The neighbours are all very lovely (especially the big ginger cat!) and the other Les Residences guests were very friendly. The pool and garden were great for sitting out and catching the end of the day sunshine (the mornings and up until about 2.30pm in the afternoon were perfect for sunbathing in the garden). The apartment is perfect for a couple. Although there is a third bed available, it might be a bit crowded if used - but each to their own! La Garde Freinet is perfectly located to pop down to St Tropez or Port Grimaud. It's also not too much of a stretch to take in Nice, Cannes and Monaco if you have a car - which I would suggest is a must as we didn't see much in the way of public transport - but I'm happy to be corrected! La Garde Freinet is a lovely little place - we were surprised at how most people spoke English and it had quite an ex-patty feeling to it. This didn't put us off though and we tried out our French with varying degrees of success! The market was very small and a little disappointing (Sundays and Wednesdays), but we made up for it by visiting St Tropez market (on Tuesdays) - Christine advised us to get up and go early and we did and were very glad we did - getting to the market before the crowds was perfect and we had a great day out both at the market and the marina area and the old town - totally beautiful. The bars and restaurants in La Garde Freinet were all very welcoming but as we were there towards the end of the season, there did not appear to be any rhyme or reason to their opening times. The upside of this, is that we didn't get too comfortable in one place and were forced to try the others - which was good! I would recommend this holiday to both those who want to explore the Cote d'Azur itself and also for those who enjoy quiet peaceful surroundings. It is possible to enjoy both during a trip to La Garde Freinet. If you are hiring a car - beware - the roads can sometimes be very narrow and are NOT for the fainthearted! Enjoy! - we did!

Perfect Pad

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned home after a perfect two weeks, this is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area such as St Tropez, Port Grimaud and St Maxime. It is in a delightful village just a 2 minute walk to numerous bars and restaurants. The studio itself is small but fully equiped and very clean and has a secluded garden. We stayed here with our 11 year old son which was fine but probably more suited to a couple or a couple with a young child. The communual gardens are kept lovely and we made good use of the swimming pool and tennis court. Christine was really helpful and just a phone call away when we needed her.

Perfect place for couple with baby

  • 5 of 5

We are a couple with a baby at 14 months and the place was perfect for us. It has lots of charm with the old building and the park/pool area. The little private garden with gravel was one big "sand pit" for our daughter and we could have her crawling in and out the studio without problems. The atmosphere was nice with friendly people living in the other apartments. The pool is surrounded by a fence and a lovely garden. Also a perfect play ground. At night we put on the baby alarm and went to play tennis, since the tennis court was just few meters away. The studio is rather small but was enough to fulfill our needs, it was cool at night and we were outside most of the day anyway. The village is nice with many restaurants and everything is close by. Christine was really nice and friendly. Can definitely be recommended.
