This is a spacious, cosy detached property offering value for money: there are 4 well appointed bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin on the ground floor, 1 double, 1 twin on the first floor), an excellent main bathroom and ground floor shower room/ toilet; the downstairs living area has an open plan seating area with TV/ DVD/ Video and a dining table for eight guests and a fully equipped kitchen including large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave. Though on the Honicombe Manor resort (30 acres of woodland and with stunning views of nearby Dartmoor) the property is located close to the edge: this property therefore offers the best of all worlds: a rural location with a wide range of facilities on site (superb heated indoor pool, outdoor pool, children’s play area, fitness centre, relaxing sauna, restaurant, bar) with proximity to the Tamar Valley, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a world heritage site ; and conveniently on the border of Devon and Cornwall. Dogs welcome.

Cosy lodge

We stayed at this property in April 2009 with our extended family and dog. The house is cosy and was very clean, it was more than comfortable for our large group. The Honicombe site has good facilities and provided us with lots to do and it is a perfect base for the local area – it is amazingly handy for to get the best out of Devon and Cornwall and we particularly enjoyed walking in Dartmoor - but you do need a car to make the most of it. The holiday was excellent value for money, we will be back next year!

Honicombe Manor on the outskirts of the Cornish village of Callington is located in the beautiful Tamar Valley, close to the county's border with Devon. This holiday home is ideally suited to exploring the best of these two idyllic English counties. Principal among the local attractions must be the stunning Dartmoor National Park. Just a ten minute drive, this will appeal to walkers, birdwatchers and general nature lovers of all ages, as w ell as being suitable for family activity holidays. This is a true all year round holiday destination, as the stunning scenery is equally beautiful in any season. The lovely market town of Tavistock with its range of amenities is just a ten minute drive away. Tamar Donkey Park is within walking distance of the holiday site. During July and August a number of day trips can be booked via reception including canoeing, walks, rock climbing.
