Nice house on the lake
The house was very nice, and being mid-October it was also very quiet in the area, which we greatly enjoyed. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially liked dining on the deck overlooking the lake and use of the canoes and kayaks. The only downside was the visit was much too short. We would like to return when we have more time off!
We are glad you enjoyed your family time! Fall is our favorite time to be there with the quiet peaceful surroundings and the beautiful foliage. We would love to have you back!
Perfect Getaway for a Couple or small family
The house was the ideal size for a couple or a small family. It was our first time on Honeoye, and we found the lake itself to be lovely and quiet. We spent many hours sitting on the deck admiring it--the only thing missing from my perspective was a lounge chair or two for the deck/lawn for reclining and lazing and reading (the hammock was great for the lazing, not as much for the reading).
The house is well stocked, having most everything we needed. The owners were attentive and accommodating. We particularly appreciated their understanding when we had to leave early and abruptly due to an emergency at home. I also had occasion to speak with neighbors on either side and they too were very friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending this property, and I hope we will have the opportunity to return in the future.
The lakefront and cottage are beautiful. The property is private with a wonderful view. We were made to feel welcomed and comfortable. Very relaxing two weeks on Honeoye Lake.
property overlooks lake in perfect location. Loved the view and the surrounding trees.
Beautiful property with great dock. Quiet, nice sunsets.
Water had some algae but went swimming anyway.
Went boating and hiking daily.
Lots of fun!
We rented this house for the July 4th week and for my husbands 50th bday. It was in the 90’s all week so the water was a welcome reprieve. Everybody was in it every day. The fireworks were beautiful and the deck was huge! The owners were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely go back.
I really enjoyed the time I spent on the lake. The cottage was the perfect size and has an incredible deck that sits high over the lake with a dock below. We brought our kayaks and they were easy to get into the lake from that area. The place was clearly recently renovated and has a nice airy feel. A television has Netflix which is enough for the stay.
The lake itself is perfect. The water is surprisingly mild (Lake Keuka is freezing well into July) so it is great for swimming. A great place to spend a few days.
