This excellent (officially rated and registered) 4 star, 3 bedroom self catering apartment offers luxury fixtures & fittings with stylish contemporary living close to the beautiful city of Rovinj. This property is situated less than 5 minutes drive (2.5 Km) to the centre of the Old City in a sought after and quiet residential area.

It offers ideal accommodation over two floors for 2 couples with 2 super-King Sized bedrooms plus a 2 bed Childrens / Companion bedroom, superb kitchen, spacious living and dining areas and 2 well appointed bathrooms.

It is a 2 minute walk to the nearest beach and less than 5 minutes walk to the award winning gastronomic Blu restaurant and other great restaurants/bars . It also comes with garage parking space and so is perfect for those looking to explore Rovinj and the rest of Istria by car or bike. Broadband wireless Internet connection is available and satellite & cable TV comes as standard for entertainment. This is a non smoking property but smoking is permitted on the balcony.

Additional Services: We can arrange for any additional services including Airport pick-up, Welcome packs, tours all on request. We will try to make any special arrangements possible should you require. Should you require dentistry or other private medical services we will be happy to provide introductions.

Our Home & other info: We are very happy with our Croatian Home and have had fun decorating and furnishing this property. We have tried to think of all practical needs whilst keeping a stylish and elegant look (with a few fun elements).

We love our Croatian home and hope you will too.

We also try and provide some standard consumables for cleaning such as dishwashing tablets, toilet cleaner, Washing powder, toilet tissue etc. We do ask is that you replace what you may use so that our next guests have the same convenience.

We can recommend both Cafe Blu and Konoba Storia restaurants in the local area and in the city it is well worth checking out Lovor, La Vela, Vele Joze, Gianino's, Dreams Trattoria and Sidro restarants. Often is is worth asking what the specials are which may not be on the menu. But there are many other restaurants and bars which you can discover yourselves.

The walks and bike rides around the area offer easy but stunning views of the coast line with great photo opportunities at every turn.

Best of both worlds

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. The apartment itself is beautifully appointed and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need - including hairdryers in each of the bedrooms. The layout of a king size bedroom and bathroom on each floor make it ideal for 2 couples traveling together. I understand from Steve and Serdjo, the owners, that they are also planning to open up a smaller 3rd bedroom on the upper floor which will be equipped for 2 children. The small balcony is perfect for those early evening gin and tonics and alfresco dining and very welcome for us smokers.

The area of Boric is quiet and peaceful with 2 great waterside restaurants with stunning views just minutes walk away plus a pizzaria and small supermarket and ATM at the top of the road. From here there is also a regular bus into town for those not driving or those days when you don't want to make the 30 minute walk into the old town - although this is a very pleasant downhill walk with a few places to stop on the way if it all gets too much. I must admit that we did tend to get the bus or a taxi back - downhill on the way means uphill back!. Rovinj is a great town, teeming with good quality bars and restaurants, most offering fantastic views over the water and the islands. We spent many an afternoon just relaxing with a drink after a lovely lunch, watching the fishermen tend their nets and trying to think of a prettier place that we had been too. We failed.

All in all we had a great holiday. The apartment has everything you need on your doorstep if you just want to chill out for a while but close enough to the town for shopping and a greater variety for bars and restaurants. We are already planning a return trip for next year.

Owner's Response: Thank you for summarising how we feel about the apartment and the area. Rovinj is a very special place and we hope that others too will be smitten by the experience. Our apartment in Boric does offer the best of both worlds a pleasant environment in a convenient and peaceful area within easy reach of the town, lovely surrounding pine & deciduous woodland and beach area very close by. You can Chill out completely or opt for something much more active, it is totally up to you. We are indeed hoping to open a third bedroom in August so that we can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 smaller people. Returners are always very welcome and we will be happy to talk about special rates for returners and early bookers. Keep an eye on the website for special deals or contact us as a returner.

Wonderful apartment, great place to visit

We stayed in Rovinj for 2 weeks in August - fantastic time had by all. The city is beautiful, within walking distance and in a prime location vis-a-vis all the other spots worth a visit (Island's off Rovinj - great kayak safari - Pula, Porec, Motivan, Brijuni Islands and Fazana) . In addition their are several great restaurants and a supermarket a stone's throw from the apartment. Croatian people in Istria could not have been nicer, and the apartment has all mod-cons for great end of day relaxation.

It is close enough to the centre of Rovinj so you can enjoy all the amenities without the noise and bustle of the town. There are great opportunities close by, as this guest has found, including the family friendly beach (300m from the front door), some lovely restaurants and great activities and excursions, so you can have as active or relaxing a holiday that you wish. With free parking in the secure garage then discovering Istria and beyond becomes an easy possibility. We look forward to welcoming returning guests and new guests to our home in the future.

Wonderful quite vacation home.

The apartment was a pleasant place to stay as we enjoyed a nice relaxing vacation right by Rovinj. Steve was incredibly helpful and the local travel agent was friendly and provided us with all appropriate information needed for our stay.

The area around the apartment is nice and quite, but Rovinj itself is very active and we always had something to do or see when weren't chilling on the beach. The beach was very nice with calm, clear water and the weather was good and warm, it was wonderful to sit back relax and get a tan next to the sound of waves. Since it was only 5 minute walk away, we spent nearly everyday there, before driving into Rovinj or one of the other adjacent towns to eat dinner at one of the many great restaurants.

The apartment was very nice and clean. All the appliances worked and were in best conditions. The internet connection was fast and Steve also provided a welcome folder with plenty of info about were to eat and what to do. We highly recommend this apartment!

Memorable holiday

Everything about this apartment was exactly what we were looking for. We were a family of four adults and found it was very close to Rovinj if you wanted to get a water taxi or go in on the bus. We hired a car so were able to visit other places like Motovun, Hum, Vrsar, Porec, Pula, Grožnjan. We also visited Lake Bled in Slovenia and had our last day in Venice. The accommodation was spotless clean on arrival and the beds were very comfortable and an added bonus was having air conditioning in all the rooms. The balcony was lovely for having a drink and planning our next trip out. The owner was really helpful and provided tourist guide books on Venice and Rovinj which we found of benefit. We ate at nearby restaurants Blu and Figarola. We did spend time in Rovinj and enjoyed sampling the various restaurants there. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Top Quality steps from the beach

This is a great flat and less than 10 minutes to a very pretty beach. We were staying here with 3 adults and 4 children. The master bedroom is perfect and took us parents with the three little kids (3, 18 months and 1 month) which was great. A baby cot and baby gate were provided as well at no extra cost. The option to use the internet was great and it was very fast. The place was very clean and is finished to a very high standard, especially from our many experiences in Croatia.

The closest beach is very clean and offers 3 good restaurants to choose from. We ate at the all and didn't have a bad meal. The food at Blu was the best but they all offer fantastic views over Rovinj.

We also took the water taxi into Rovinj which was a fantastic option rather than driving. It was also a great adventure for the kids!

I would highly recommend this flat for a stay in Rovinj!

Fantastic apartment

This is an excellent, well equipped and very clean apartment in a great location within 5 minutes walk to the sea front. Rovinj is a small town with good restaurants. There are also restaurants close to the apartment. I highly recommed this apartment.

Why Steve Woods chose Borik

We had outgrown our little apartment in the center of Rovinj and were looking for something spacious and bright and away from the center of the town.

We were looking for somewhere more spacious and quiet but with amenities close by. This apartment was unfurnished which was ideal as we could put our own stamp on it to make it our home.

Borik, we knew, is a very popular and sought after area and this apartment just fitted nearly every requirement we had. With a few adjustments to the upstairs and after choosing the kitchen, the upstairs bathroom and furniture we were ready to move in.

We are very happy with our Rovinj home and are ready to share it with others.

What makes this apartment unique

This area is so nice and near enough to Rovinj for convenient shopping and social trips to see friends.

The apartment itself is lovely and bright and away from the hustle of the city. The extra space that it gives us means that we feel much more at home because we have a full kitchen and all the comforts you would need to live very well.

Parking space is also very welcome for us because when we lived in the city not being able to drive in the city was sometimes really an inconvenience. Now we feel like we really do have the best of both worlds; a great apartment in a lovely area and all the benefits of the city just 5 minutes drive away. If we are feeling energetic it is an easy bike ride away. All year long, a bus service runs from the end of the road from next to the Konzum supermarket into the centre of town.

The local supermarket is such a great convenience. Being part of the Konzum chain means that the prices are just about the same great rate that you get in the big hypermarkets and the cash machine attached is great for when you need to go out.

Two great restaurants (Blu and Konoba Storija) are open during the main season so if we feel like eating out we are sure that we can get a great meal in beautiful locations on the waterfront. Konoba Storija is the sister restaurant to Lovor which serves great food. The Rovinj Beach Bar is also a lovely location to get a cocktail in the evening or food and drinks down be the waterfront during the day.

The apartment is also half way between the City and the very popular Monsena Beach area. Monsena has access to the naturist bathing area which is very popular in Croatia.

The local beach which is shown in the pictures is great for families. The beach is shingle and has shallow entry to the water with trees lining the shore for shade.

This property is in the residential area of Borik, Rovinj. This property is ideally situated for exploring Rovinj and the rest of Istria. There is a local bus to the city or a drive of less than 5 minutes or an easy 30 minute stroll takes you to the heart of Rovinj. This enclave is one of the best, if not the best, residential areas of Rovinj.

There is regular sight seeing to the Lim Fjord, Brijunian Islands (President Tito's residence), Red Island, Pula, Rijeka, Opatija, Porec and so on.

Discovering the beautiful landscapes of Istria may best be done by car, the worlds smallest city of Hum and many other stunning hilltop towns and coastal islands can be discovered from Rovinj. This apartment is ideally placed for Cycling and walking tracks around the region.

There are some local cafes, restaurants and bars in the area which do not affect the peaceful atmosphere of the location and a very well stocked local supermarket 30 seconds walk from the apartment
