We have been vacationing on Lake Bartholomew for 15 years. Chris' mom and dad had a cottage on the lake when he was young and he grew up coming here. They sold their property when he was in high school but purchased again years later. As a family with 3 children we started visiting his parents on the lake and fell in love with the lake style vacation. We purchased our own cottage in 2011. The cottage next door was for sale too and close friends of our purchased it after visiting us for a weekend. They owned the cottage for 4 years then decided they had other interests. So, we purchased it from them to use as a rental. Our long term plans include building our retirement home on our lot.

Why Owner chose Coldwater
We purchased this cottage because it is next door to our personal cottage and we felt it would be ideal for us to own and take care of. The driveway is shared between the two cottages and the back yards are connected. This makes it easy for us to maintain the yard too.

Comfortable and Clean
An employee of our company stayed at this property for two weeks while attending a work-related seminar in Quincy. The House was very clean, well equipped and conveniently located to his seminar. Unfortunately, his stay was during the Polar Vortex in early February and the -30 degrees temperature froze the water pipes. The owners were very responsive and work diligently to restore the water by bringing in heating equipment. Great communication with the owners before and during his stay.
We enjoyed our stay. It was just as I expected. We appreciated the hospitality and the quiet neighborhood.
The house was nice and cozy. Huge backyard..you could play alot of sports. We rented a platoon boat, and that was so much fun. It was a quiet area where my family stayed..very relaxing and everyone can't wait to go back next year.
Great Little Place
Perfect place to get away. The cottage was clean, cute, and affordable. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
This is a clean place to stay with a great screened in porch that is perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks. The cottage was clean and had all the necessary cookware for all our meals. Pam and Chris were great hosts and were very helpful with any questions we had about the area. My wife and I had a very enjoyable week there and are looking forward to going back later in the summer.
